Man, I JUST picked up education of a wandering man and am so excited for it! Can’t believe I’ve never actually read that one yet… Butchers crossing sounds super intriguing!
I really hope you enjoy Education of a Wandering Man! It’s a bit different and can be considered slow by some. Lots of wisdom though… and legit TONS of book recommendations from the Lou-Man himself 😂
Cool list. I looked up It dies with you on Amazon and he synopsis intrigued me. Putting it on the Christmas list. 😎👍 Cool knight statue by the way. P.S. I have a book recommendation: Automaton by T.R. Hudson great read.
Here are a few of the combat sports novels I know of. 1. The Contender series by Robert Lipsyte there are 4 of these. The Contender, The Brave, The Chief, and Warrior Angel. The Professional by WC Heinz is an incredible novel about boxing. Fat City by Leonard Gardner is a very short novel about one fighter in his prime and one fighter becoming too old for the sport. The Fighter by Craig Davidson explores two men from opposite upbringings and how fighting manifests in both their lives and drives them together. Vision Quest by Terry Davis was the basis for the incredible Karate Kid Esq high school wrestling film of the same name. Lastly, they have novelizations of the original Karate Kid films that came out when the movies did.

You know of any novels related to martial arts or combat that I could possibly find at my local library?
