this song slowed instantly activates this switch of nostalgia in my brain. it brings me back to traveling in south korea and indonesia, replaying specific scenes from the trip that i would have found trivial whilst i was first experiencing them, but that i now find perfectly capture and reflect the surreal ambiance that this song creates, specifically scenes of distant glaring city lights during the pitch black of night in seoul and jakarta. somehow though, this song gives me nostalgia for scenarios that i haven’t ever experienced, specifically random scenarios of walking through cities at night and taking in the mystery and beauty of a quiet urban metropolis.
