    Good morning sir just a word of warning the Chrome pipes pushed into the plastic speed fittings will all fly out under pressure chrome pipe will not grip them and you will flood your boat take the Chrome pipes out and rub the Chrome of the ends then reinsert them

      Cheers mate for that. First time i've used chrome into push-fit and i should of thought of that. Makes sense. So will change it as soon as. 👍

      Alternatively change them for copper pipe with a cosmetic stainless pipe sleeve.

    I like classic water taps, they seem so easy to operate when mounted at this height. Convenience is pleasure!

    You would make a good deep sea marine engineer. We would always find something in the galley to use as a tool.

    Very nice to see you both back on the boat hope you are feeling better. I do like your choice of radiators and very professionally fitted, I think he is a keeper haha apart from the fact he had to borrow your ratchet handle 🤣👍

    Very neat job, although I'm not sure I'd trust the speedfit to chrome pipe joints. I love the Victorian radiators and radiator valves.
    I saw you were asking about your engine, our panel is just inside the doors at high level so isn't open to the elements. Take care both.

      Cheers George, Yeah sorted the pipe now. Should have thought about it when fitting it. Common sense really but think mine has up and left me lol. Yes we were originally going to have ours inside but been having a think about putting it outside above the gas locker but wasn't sure if it would fit. Looking like we are going back to the original plan and having it inside. 👍

      Cheers David , Yes sorry we did mention it on the vlog but i then removed the sound and speeded the footage up and forgot to leave it in. Anyway we got the rads and fittings off the internet from a company called Best Heating. They arrived the following day after ordering and we are really pleased with the quality

      Thankyou lee ands Ali, Think the paint was called soul sister if i remember rightly. It was B&Qs valspar eggshell. The radiators are from bestheating.com in Burnley. They delivered to our Marina 👍

    Very amused seeing you use the Uri Geller spanner. Hopefully Nanny won't mind it being bent. Was the ratchet a 3/8 inch drive?

    • @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg
      @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg  2 года назад

      Thankyou, The cutlery draw doubles up as a tool box nowadays and i'm not sure anything in there is straight anymore 😆. Yes the ratchet was 3/8 👍

    I like the look of the old-fashioned radiators but are they as efficient as modern ones? I doubt it. Was going to comment about the crome to plastic pipes but I've been beaten to it.

    • @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg
      @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg  2 года назад +1

      Hi Tony, These modern column radiators are supposed to be more efficient than the panel ones because they have a bigger surface area. Yes we sorted the pipe but thankyou for keeping a look out👍
