Quite simply one of the fastest 5k road races anywhere in the country. We would love you to join us at our lightning-quick 5k in a fantastic location in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. This course was the fastest in the UK in 2018 & has course records of 13.45 & 15.28.
The race starts & finishes on nearby Ball Lane where a full rolling road closure will allow you to concentrate on the race & not the oncoming traffic. In only four years this race has cemented itself into the national road racing calendar with runners travelling from across the country to take part & has twice recently staged the England Athletics 5k Road Race championships.
That front guy in the green and black is a beast of a runner. He had a nice long stride . That’s tough too keep that up.

what's insane here is the sheer depth of fast runners for a middle-of-nowhere countryside race, with two poodles barking at the finish line. i counted 26 sub-15min finishers, unbelievable. the uk may not be a lost cause after all --- respect.

fair play to 9055 who stuck with the front runners for the first half despite looking somewhat uncomfortable. Didn't fade *too* much either. That's how you test yourself

That actually gave me my first 5k under 19:00 minutes. It was a very difficult course and I managed to hold on through 1.75 mile or about 2.8k. I ran 18:20, hold on for dear life.
I hope he has a cat with a big smile to celebrate his win. 😁😺

@@retinairthat is good to hear. I'm a 5k runner myself and I have seen runners have falls in the middle or close to the finish line and it saddens me as they put in so much training for the event and that has to happen.
