There was a story/study here in baltimore recently. In the last three years, 71 murders were committed by people who should have been in prison at the time of the murder, just by the minimum sentencing guidelines. They finally voted the states attorney out. Now, I understand that 71 out of the 1,000 or so murders doesn’t seem like much, but even 1 is too many. Go get em, gov D.

Next time someone asks what right the governor has to remove an elected state attorney, respond by asking what right a state attorney has to ignore the laws written by elected government representatives.
This should go to Court. The Attorney here needs to take it to Court. If a State Attorney ignores the laws, that's still the will of the people. It balances out the power of the Governor and that's why the elections are structured that way. In this case it's even more clear because this is the Attorney of a specific County, not the whole state of Florida. If this Attorney refuses to prosecute, then the Attorney General of the State should step in and prosecute, instead of a suspension by the Governor.
