- Hungrybox is up there with Armada as one of the most dominating players to ever play the game. He's quite a controversial player due to his defensive, "lame" playstyle with Puff. Despite that, he's still had some insane 4 stocks, here they are!

auzra he also had a piece of shit dad who never believed in him, people don't realize that he probably sees that in every single person who puts him down or says he sucks or that his play style is boring, hbox just wants to prove to every one who doubts him that he's among the best in the world and he doesn't care if he has to play the villain to become the best, I've been watching his streams and he really doesn't seem like that terrible of a guy. He just wants to play melee and I don't think he really cares how other people see him and that makes people think he's an asshole
Smash did Hungrybox to itself. It constantly shit talked puff so much that no player wants to play her and put up with all that crap, meaning only the most resilient could rise to the top with out quitting or switching mains. Suddenly there's no one decent to practice against when a god of the game (and hbox IS one of the greatest melee players of all time) harnesses a character like hbox does with puff.

If mango had stayed puff (which means puff vs puff grand finals which need to be 2 stock), melee would probably be a dead game...

I'm not one of those people, but it's not his skill they hate (they recognise how good he is) - people just don't like the character and the way he plays sometimes. I understand it, but sometimes their complaints are stupid.
Enzan Takeshita people are hypocrites, HBox is also tired of all the armchair Reddit professionals so he trolls as much as he can to intentionally piss them off.
I don't understand how people hate his playstyle when every Fox forces him to camp with the smallest lead because all they do is laser camp him until he whiffs a bair and then they'll kill him because he took 60% from lasers

Mango, Leffen, Westballz, and just about every other Fox that isn't the campy m2k and Armada will approach Hbox. And that's why Hbox wins. Don't sit there and try to make Hbox the victim of being camped against. lmao

If you remember, Leffen and Mang0 had their sets go by pretty quickly, and Leffen was playing it right, with a balance of lasers and approaches. It's just when the other player (I.E. Armada) decides to stall the hell out of the game because they don't want to approach that the game takes 30 minutes.
TaismoFanBoy Are you deliberately slow? Against Chu, Hbox was on the ledge for a solid minute against a SoPo. But the IC is stalling by not killing himself or by not approaching Puff on the edge? God, people that defend Hbox's bitch play style might actually have the intelligence of 13 year olds.

As we learned from both Borp and HBox, spot dodge > spot dodge > spot dodge > grab is a true combo.
Technically HBox still got the four-stock in the last clip ;)

What's even scarier is that Hbox's playstyle goes for tons of trades. Rests can result in stock trades or get you punished to KO% for example, but he also deliberately plays suboptimally in the first half of the set to train his opponents to go for specific punishes... then reads and punishes the same punishes later in the set.
If he's 4 stocking or 3-0'ing you, that means he's even further ahead than he appears to be.
There's a reason this dude was and still is so dominant. The melee community will never give him enough credit

honestly, if leffen were to have gotten 4 stocked with that rest in that last clip, that wouldve been a 50 second match between a now no 1 and really the only other contender for no 1 right now. Imagine what leffens career wouldve been. He would be known the same way silentwolf is known these days, the guy that just got completely 4 stocked like crazy, and did it in a minute. @wahhoreocookie Mang0 didn't win a single major in 2018. He's at the lowest point he's been in years. HBox, meanwhile, is ranked #1 in the world right now and has been looking strong.
I'm an M2K fan myself, but I'm not sure how you can argue Mang0 being better than HBox these days.
@wahhoreocookie Whether Mang0 has more "knowledge" about the game overall than Hbox is hard to answer, but they both know a lot. And in terms of their direct clashes, Hbox has beaten him at Smash Summit 7, GTX 2018, Big House 8, and Shine 2018. That's almost all of their recent encounters to my knowledge.
Mang0 and Hbox from years past might be a different story, but the results speak for themselves. Even considering Armada, Hbox is probably the strongest contender for #1 of 2018 while Mang0 is unfortunately in a slump. Sandbagging doesn't excuse that, nor does it appear to be happening at majors.

Picked up SSBU very recently and found puff a pretty damn OP character. If you’re even mildly good at rest setups then your opponent basically asks for 4-stocks

If anyone knows, have any of the Five Gods never been 4-stocked by anyone in a tournament setting? For obvious reasons from this video alone, Mew2King and Mango are off that list, but what about HBox, PPMD or Armada?
Edit: Although considering Mew2King gave up those last lives of his, I'm not sure that counts...

Jigglypuff has a move called *REST* . It's a super strong move but it has a really small hitbox and when you miss you can't move for 3 seconds. Using it is risky and just shows how skilled hbox is
@@REALMARCHINADER yep so as a puff player, i reccomend practicing rest setups first especially the tougher ones before using it in games

I think its still a 4stock since leffen did a side b off the stage and since it was a star ko leffen woulda died first which is why he paused to quit. Even then its a JV4 stock if hbox died first
