Out of everyone who's had this tractor on demo, and made a video this is the one that's made the most sense and is a genuine representation of someone who runs Massey's and their genuine views plus's and minus's of this tractor based on years of working with the brand. A bit like topgear used to be like to be! People seem to talk woffle about new cars and machinery giving no constructive points of benefit for the perspective owner
You totally and completely overlooked my favorite feature on any loader! The mechanical parallel linkage that keeps the loader bucket or forks at a constant angle as the boom goes up and down!!! That's a feature that should be on every single front loader!!! I ran loaders for over 40 years and could not stand loaders that did not have that feature! At least all telehandlers that I have seen have the hydraulic parallel linkage. I also love a loader bucket that has a heel for back dragging! They grade so much better than a bucket that has a rounded bottom!!! Another absolute must-have feature is the automatic bucket leveling switch! Another absolute must-have on a loader is a clutch lockout switch. Joystick operates loaders are okay but they're very sluggish and slow to respond! I do love joystick control skid steers and mini track loaders and dozers. Joystick control on the loader itself is also a must instead of the old two lever control!
Nice! And only on tick over or just a little bit more than that. Only thing I find strange is the rims on the front axle. For a loader tractor i would choose fully welded rims like the ones on the back.
Did really well on the loader work there. Nice and smooth - no need to rev the hell out of it, gets everything done without all the noise and smoke and just as quick!
Good review Dan the fact that the loader joystick carries on moving the loader after you release it is very frustrating but Massey will not admit it’s a problem. My dealer had to change mine on a 5713 to a quicke type because I wasn’t happy with it. My previous 5612 had the same spec electric one and it was perfect
Great review Dan, it's a smart tractor and as much as I love a Massey these new ones with all the gadgets and gizmos, they don't fit our farm. I have a 5455 Dyna4 with a loader, Anyone can jump on and drive it. Its simple, economic and reliable - can't see me ever changing it.
Does the bucket have a return to level feature and indicator. I remember digging in too deep on grandfather's loader tractor because it required experience to judge the level of the bucket
Good honest review... whether your a massey man or jd or whatever marque you really have too be impressed how far things have come the past few yrs.... not that long ago you'd be trying to clean that waste hay up with a 2wd tractor. ... possibly no cab ... stuck all the time ...but now your sitting in virtual silence... comfortable ...all services close too hand and at your finger tips ticking over n doing a job effortlessly...👍
I still can't understand why you prefer a front loader tractor to a wheel loader. we have a front loader for emergencies and every time it gets a bit tight you notice how clumsy you are compared to the wheel loader/ teleporter with twice as much power, the argument that you can also use it as a tractor doesn't count for me if there are still two or more equal tractors in the shed. but I recommend the front loader for the 5712 as a second loader next to a wheel loader or teleporter😉
Soooo when’s the blue equivalent coming as a comparison 🤔🤪🤪. Can you imagine me going from the 698 to that, I wouldn’t know where to start 🤣. A nice tractor but I reckon that aimed at farmer P or me kinda people, good spec for a main tractor
Great review Dan an Dad👍 think I'd have some to drive it on conventional shuttle as that bloody beep every time you change direction 🤔😡 too technical for me 😂
In my own experience I have found massey ferguson not interested in helping smallholders they would not even give us a brochure on the tractor we were looking at they won't even support us with our 3095 for us very poor customer service

Ah it’s the first time I’ve heard your Dad speak …seems a lovely man ! Great video 👍

Good video Dan. Nice to see your Dad on it
She looked tidy. Good bit of power for a smaller tractor. Brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
Did really well on the loader work there. Nice and smooth - no need to rev the hell out of it, gets everything done without all the noise and smoke and just as quick!
We had one on demo but wouldn't go for as hi spec for loader,we see that you can get a lowered cab version if height is a problem
Nice review. I quite often drive a Kubota with a loader identical to yours so it's interesting to compare.
Glad you enjoyed using it Dan and made sense whilst it was so local to you.
Interesting review that focused on different aspects than other reviewers.
Very impressive machine tractors nowadays are evolving all the time enjoy your demo 👍
Great video dan, nice looking tractor, great review, tell dad to retune the radio lol.
cant beat what you are used to keep it simple
It's a great tractor. You had fun.

Good video Dan, great to see and hear your father giving his opinion.
Very good honest review Dan, Good to hear Dads opinion.

A really nice tractor there 👍
Very good and honest review. It is on the large size and the Demo machine is very High Tech. Guess the price would be eye watering !!
Nice machine and i do believe Funky farmer had the same tractor and everyone give it a good review

We have gotta buy it,Dan
So is the 5S the replacement of the 57xx? Yes it's all very clever but it sort of shows that the tractors you already have are 98% of the new stuff.
part X the Kubota
Great video 👍

Exactly 👍🏻
I think it's the way forward glad massey have hit top best I've ever used real loader with benefit of a tractor

Your dads a good driver
What a beauty! Strike a deal 👌🏼
Interesting and comprehensive review thanks Dan, out of interest how did the visibility compare if at all between the kubota and this?
Well Dan nice massey we like our masseys here a cross the water
Great review Dan an Dad👍 think I'd have some to drive it on conventional shuttle as that bloody beep every time you change direction 🤔😡 too technical for me 😂
Nice tractor 🚜
I see fantastic compost 😅 potential
nice review .. to modern for me but nice to see it
Grand bit of kit?
Think Ålø and Quicke part of Jost Werke,German company.
like your dad said to many buttons not your average stockmans tractor just more to go wrong nice tractor though
It looks like the loader would handle a much bigger fork on the front
Yes, it would.
In my own experience I have found massey ferguson not interested in helping smallholders they would not even give us a brochure on the tractor we were looking at they won't even support us with our 3095 for us very poor customer service
Funky farmer had one to he liked it
Aksaray Ali Mutlu ❤🎉😊😊
You should have brought a massey in the first place .and kept all your tractors the same brand
I can't understand why you didn't..
If you look back through Dan's videos he has a very detailed review of the kubota and a explanation of why they bought it.
Farmers can buy whichever tractor they want, people also have to decide on price and how complicated they want machinery to be when repairs come!
To put it simply the Massey dealer fucked them about a bit so they went else where
It need a DynaVT
Not available on a 5S
@@CowfarmerDan yea i know, bummer right. It would have been a perfect loader tractor if it had DynaVt in pedal mode..
Get rit of the Nintendo game lever and buttons, go back to real levers and steel then youd gave a tractor. I will keep my 2745 thank you
The 5711M is a more basic spec tractor, I've done a video on that too if you'd like to see it.
