I have had the 'Five' for a couple of years now and I really enjoy not only its sound but its easy compatibility to play music from all of our family's devices. We had been using just smart speakers before, (such as Google Hub Max), but the Sonos brings easier and more consistent connections and also the obviously deeper, richer sound. My intent it to build around the 'Five' for more home audio.
Thank you Great video, very informative. With sonos products, are we able to use the them as windows pc speakers? If yes, is there an easy way to switch the paticular speaker from PC connection to the Living room Sonos speaker sets? Thank you
My room size is 23'x12',with standard ceiling height. What do you recommend comparing two Sonos Five vs. two Sonos 1 and the new small Sonos base speaker? The room is mostly used as a home gym/workout space. I play music louder than the average listener, but not crazy loud. The audio will not be connected to any video. (thank you in advance)
I currently have a Sonos playbase with 2 Sonos one’s in stereo diagonally placed behind me, would you say the 5 is a fitting solution for an overhead speaker(in front or behind) to create more of a Dolby atmos sensation? I know only the sonos arc has true Dolby atmos, but I was wondering if that’s comparable with the setup I just mentioned. Help please!!!

From all people that talk about sonos it easy to understand information smart thanks for sharing
Im in the market to get a Sonos Five speaker and don't currently have any other Sonos devices (yet). Would you recommend getting the Play Five (cheaper but seems the same) or the new Five?
Love my Sonos Ones. I really like the slightly more subtle aesthetics of the 5 vs the Play:5. Well done, as a Sonos reseller, comparing it with the Kef LSX and giving an honest assessment. I have my Sonos Ones in my office/study and my kitchen, and maybe one in my bedroom at some point, but my main speakers in my listening/living room are Kef LS50w (the big brother to the LSX) and I love them. For me one big attraction was ability to also use them for my TV which goes into the LS50w's optical input. I do wonder though what the latency is on the 3.5mm input on the Sonos 5. Would plugging the headphone output of a TV into one half of a Sonos 5 L/R stereo pair, maybe with subwoofer as well, give full TV stereo or 2:1 (not 5:1 obviously) output through the Sonos system and if yes then would the latency be too high and give lip sync issues? (I'm asking mainly out of interest and maybe for other people - my Kef LS50w setup does all that I want although doing it all again now if that Sonos setup could also do TV I would definitely be giving 2 x Sonos 5 + subwoofer a demo listen vs Kef LS50w + subwoofer since I can see the benefit of being 100% Sonos.)
Question if I may? This looks amazing and exactly what I was looking for. I had looked at maybe getting a Sonos Port to send sound to WiFi speakers but this seems to a better option. My question is if this speaker can connect directly to your vinyl player and output to wireless speakers, then why would anyone get the Sonos Port ??
Hi Anthony, thanks for watching. The Port gives you the freedom to position your turntable and speakers wherever you want in the room as the Port only needs to attach to the turntable. The Port will then send this turntable audio over WiFi to any Sonos speakers of your choice. Also if you have a HiFi system already with a turntable, amplifier and speakers for example, the Port can attach to the HiFi and you can then use your existing HiFi as a Sonos zone. If you're looking for an All-in-one wireless speaker to use with vinyl, then the Five would be all you need. Hope this helps!

@Hugh Jassole @Bill Jacobi I bought two days ago the arc, the sub and what Hugh Jassole said about the surround seemed logic to me, so i also chose the one's as surrouds. Thanks so much for the suggestion! Just ordered a pair of Flexson from the Sonos site. How far apart should I place them, and should they face straight out or at an angle towards where I sit? Thanks again.
Is it portable? (I.e can i play it in the garden?)
It's not weatherproof I'm afraid so you can't let the elements get to it, however there's no reason why you can't use it outdoors temporarily on a nice day providing you've got reach to a power socket. If you are looking for true portability, I'd recommend looking at the Sonos Move. I hope that helps!
