These re-uploads shows how important the music choice of shows are. Might be cus Im used to the original music, but the new music to avoid the copyright issues just dont hit the same
James Lambo is the only of the 3 classic Italians that still exist: Repainted orange, shipped to Australia, and sold 2 years ago for over $100,000. Richard's Ferrari hasn't been seen since 2011 on a tv show and, Jeremy's Maserati was scrapped
Richard bought his Ferrari off the show and kept it for a number of years until he eventually sold it. There's no reason to think it doesn't still exist.
I remember Richard saying in the last coupes that arent porsche challenge 'If you are 8 you have our permission to stay up and watch that' when I was 8 lol
I took a picture next to that exact Lamborghini, at a customer's house (Victoria, Australia), about a year ago. He even had the number plate James may has on it here. The car is now blue, and is undergoing a very good restoration. So cool!
@Thisisaweirdthing2makeusdoI would, but I have had this one for years, and I'm in the Lamborghini picture. It's also in a private garage, so probably wouldn't be nice.
Those Italian classics from the 70s were ancient on the show even though they were 25 years old. Today, their counterparts are a 360 Modena, Maser Coupe, or Gallardo - and those look modern still!
They'll mock each other's choices, but they also seemed to genuinely appreciate what each other does. Capt. Slow's door pull, laughing but also sounding like they genuinely thought it was very inventive to do.
Love my SL500 owned 10 years never let me down and is as good now as it was new maintenance is the key I am an enthusiast and do most of the work myself no problems costs for service parts are reasonable too
Back in the day, I had seen and enjoyed the show, but this was the episode/segment that made me a true fan. Can’t remember when exactly this episode came out, but it feels like it’s been 20 years
These re-uploads shows how important the music choice of shows are. Might be cus Im used to the original music, but the new music to avoid the copyright issues just dont hit the same
100%. im glad they upload these but damn it is not the same
Didn't even notice there was different music on these and I've seen every episode twice over (rookie numbers I know)
The BBC iPlayer ones have the proper music
There are so many variants of music and I 100% agree. It makes the difference. Some versions are impossible to find too.
Yes. And it's also too loud.
"James has bought an AA truck"
Richard & Jeremy: "[Laugh]"
Renault truck.
Renault truck.
@tomaszlukaszewicz4468 when the Lambo arrives on the truck. AA, Automobile Association
But the clock is correct
23:07 Jeremy laughing in voiceover is absolutely iconic 😂
I never noticed this before and thought the same when I noticed it earlier hilarious 🤣
"It's not funny!" James May
Was just about to comment this
16:20
Jeremy: -"are you cold?"
James *violently shaking himself apart freezing* : -"No!"
I think it was the adrenaline from the race
15:39 he literally shaking 🫨🥶🥶🥶
German Stig. RIP Sabine Schmitz
James Lambo is the only of the 3 classic Italians that still exist: Repainted orange, shipped to Australia, and sold 2 years ago for over $100,000.
Richard's Ferrari hasn't been seen since 2011 on a tv show and, Jeremy's Maserati was scrapped
Imagine my surprise, the car that blew up was scrapped 😂
Richard bought his Ferrari off the show and kept it for a number of years until he eventually sold it. There's no reason to think it doesn't still exist.
Clarkson's Maserati was ready to be scrapped before he bought it.
@declanthomas7159 I mean, I would totally take it from him and throw in some engine, the lovely shape is still there, just the engine is broken.
Another notable thing about the Urraco, it was actually quite rare. Only 791 Urracos were ever produced, likely only a few were made RHD.
21:16 i can't believe i've never noticed the stig pulling a clarkson move here lmaooo
HHAHAHAHAHHAA
Adorable 😂
COME ONNN MOOVEE 😂
Dear BBC. Please release a full collection of Top Gear on DVD, as I believe this would profit you greatly and prevent people from pirating it.
I want that too! BluRay could do also! As much I hate BBC, I would give 'em my pennies for TG DVD/BD collection.
Me as well
People will just upload it to yt
@kdpwt But what does BBC gain from people pirating it? And I like to OWN a DVD or BluRay
Or just put the full films on RUclips rather than these short highlights
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched these episodes lol
I remember Richard saying in the last coupes that arent porsche challenge 'If you are 8 you have our permission to stay up and watch that' when I was 8 lol
Still makes me laugh every single time too
@syygnisyea it never gets old 😂
At this point the references are like a stim
Dave
25:20 "In China they would say, 'oooo look numba ereven!' in case you're wondering what was cut.
Funny considering eleven in chinese looks like this: 十一
Guess they have to also keep the CCP happy these days
Well it is the BBC, not suprised it got cut.
Nooo not my racist jokerino how could they cut it out literally 1984
@DanieleCapelliniButthurt much?
I took a picture next to that exact Lamborghini, at a customer's house (Victoria, Australia), about a year ago. He even had the number plate James may has on it here.

So cool!
I heard it go resprayed orange. Love to see it in blue. Any chance you wana make it your profile pic? 😂😂 sorry im sad asf
@Thisisaweirdthing2makeusdoI would, but I have had this one for years, and I'm in the Lamborghini picture. It's also in a private garage, so probably wouldn't be nice.
@Thisisaweirdthing2makeusdonot sad. Pics or it didn't happen. Haha
I get teased by my workmates for how excited I look in the picture. Screw them!
Did it come with the lorry
@charliethorogood3148haha no. It was sitting on stands, with its wheels off, when I saw it.
Top Gear was never about the cars. It was about the three of them, mates having fun on TV.
Agreed, it’s why you can’t repeat it. I was never massively into cars but these 3 really got me into them. It was the genius of top gear.
James saying to German stig "Get a grip man!! 😂😂😂
Hearing Clarkson laugh like a child for the suspension test was great
32:05 "Why does that never happen with the police?"
Those challenges are a staple of Top Gear, and I love every single one of them!
28:58 it’s insane to think that a 14 year old car today would be a 2012 car!!!! Stop the world, I’m getting too old 😅
Top gear never never gets old it’s wild
It is property aged. But never old.
37:53, the stig is so brave. Got air on a wet day.
The Astra on two wheels 😆 Definition of “full send”
18:06 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 James May, gasping for air laughing
37:56 one of my favorite Jeremy emotes
"I've won something, possibly!" Immediately proceeds to lose.
Whenever something's knackered on my car and someone mentions all it's flaws, I always quote James May "But the clock is correct" 🤣
3:18, a classic James May
Classic Top Gear is so infinitely rewatchable
Here so early the auto-captions haven't been generated yet lmao
Badly for me, i'm French and my English is not good
But I see Top Gear in Original version with substitles French ...
25:32 I love how Hammond's face drops the second he heard he has to somehow sell his car
I think that german episode track challenge was sabine schmitz driving as the stig
the og music really works with the cheap super car challange and the lack of it so sad
17:14 Who won???
"I had to fill up my car with electricity" very relevant these days 😂
Jeremy’s laugh at the end is so genuine I love it🤣
"I got so excited that I uh duh I wet myself"
One of the great lines of the show
This is pure quality content.
Very well done, appreciate this video!
“Is this the turbo? Is this the turbo?” 😂
The car reveals at the start of the challenge where one of the highlights of the show.
15:20 "Das Stig ist a Maniac" ...memory lane
Clarkson laughing all the way driving over that cobblestone road was wonderful
man, watching these lads while they were young...
time flies
Those Maseratis are over 100k now 😩
I don't think I will ever tire of watching these three together.
noone will ever beat this trio , theyr spectacular
I've seen these clips so many times yet i still can't get enough of them
Those Italian classics from the 70s were ancient on the show even though they were 25 years old. Today, their counterparts are a 360 Modena, Maser Coupe, or Gallardo - and those look modern still!
Im now as old as Jeremy Clarkson was when filming this, and it feels insane
The Porsche table and chairs look great actually.
Sports car challenge was peak top gear. Just three friends with not much budget having a good time with crappy old cars.
....and he's bought a piece of cheese 🧀 😂
Look How Young they look its crazy
Amazing how they wouldn't be able to buy those same "10k super cars" today
They'll mock each other's choices, but they also seemed to genuinely appreciate what each other does. Capt. Slow's door pull, laughing but also sounding like they genuinely thought it was very inventive to do.
The chemistry from these three will never and could never be matched they are a package trio and should always stay as such
*STIGGY RAY CYRUS* 😂 But i had a BMW 635 CSI in 1999 and CRASHED IT..
So nostalgic
I've had dreams about hanging out with these guys.
6:55 noooooo I loved the Zorba the Greek music at this point
Sunday nights were never the same after these three left.
38:20 you know the car was hideously crap even the stig pissed about it.
The supercar one is one of my favourite challenges.
21:37 the guys running for it when the stig comes around Gambon in Jeremy's Porsche is hilarious
Some of my favourite thing's they'd do are these where they just have fun and be mates.
Grandfather Clock is 2nd only to “Buckingham Palace” when May was driving the Bentley SUV
The Jean Cluade Van Damminator 🗣️
18:06 the asthmatic goose always gets me evey single time!
God that Ferrari with the gated manual for under 10 grand now would be great 😂
Wouldn't all 3 of these be over 100k today?
@maineiacman, it's very possible
@maineiacmana Dino is certainly close to 100k alone soooo yeah maybe 😂😂
The face on James face while he is losing power in his car is just James May thing.
These were the best years.
This channel really needs to start posting full episodes.
Love my SL500 owned 10 years never let me down and is as good now as it was new maintenance is the key I am an enthusiast and do most of the work myself no problems costs for service parts are reasonable too
600 squid for the top gear engine coffee table and chair set is a fookn steal mate even back then
Put undersael all over my first car, and it was great, self repairing on little scratches^^
consider all these clips are 20+ years old. . .tv peaked a long time ago!
Stress relief show
I will always love that Merak. I can only imagine what they go for now. £7k was a bargain even though it blew up.
Those Maserati were great rally cars..
SO BACK!! Cheers BBC 🫡
Back in the day, I had seen and enjoyed the show, but this was the episode/segment that made me a true fan. Can’t remember when exactly this episode came out, but it feels like it’s been 20 years
Hair/Herr Stig is a great pun
Unbelievable trio,
"He's bought a grandfather clock." 🤣Burst into laughing about that comment!
I was watching mortal kombat and this was suggested next!! What a pull
They were so young. I was so young 😭
I'd forgotten how funny these guys were.
Can see my flat across the harbour 😊
Those old cars would probably be absolutely incredible with modern suspension
I bloody love these guys and everything they do
Sone of the best challenges. And some of the best banter.
I just had to stop and fill it up with electricity 😂
I really really miss those guys
The fact james did 140 in that jag is wild
What does it do?.... nothing 😂😂😂
25:18 Missing the "Eh, someone write erevens!"
Watching TG was the highlight of my week
my saab 9000 is over 30 years old and has still recently made 130mph😬
The best car show ever period
We miss you guys
Still holds up
Will always hold up
14:04 "Martin Brundle-approved" makes me laugh so hard.
