    Thank you
    Hi
    So, this car came with what at the started looked like 2 separate issues...
    ACC not working... including no communications with the unit, and then the engine radiator fan always running on full blast...
    In this case, quite simple... at least because I started on the right issue...😋
    Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.
    P.S. There was another issue with this car that I have never even mentioned, however, it is quite audible at one point throughout the video... comment if you know what it is... put the time stamp as well... :-)
    Hope you enjoy the video.
    Any questions or comments put them below.
    Like always, thank you for watching!

    Sometimes it's fun to find a simple fix. The fuse might have been blown if they jumped the car when the ignition was on. That makes sense. Didn't I hear a leaking injector or are my ears also getting old and I hear phantom noises? As always a nice fix Luis.

    Good video. What you stated at the end is very good, and makes perfect sense. A suggestion I might make is to have put an Amp clamp on that fuse and see how much current is being drawn through it. You can very the loads, do full loads like you did but, also be able to see how much current that fuse has going through it.
    The main purpose here is to see if the current is close to the maximum (rated fuse amperage) with some setting, or if the fuse likely blew, as you stated, suddenly, possibly when jumped.
    Once again, good video and quick diagnostic. Thank you.

    Nice fix Luis. I was first thinking it was a sticking temp blend motor or air distribution flap motor that blew the fuse but your voltage spike theory makes tons of sense as well.

    I hate when the fuse is blown ,but when you replace the blown fuse ( the short is off) your always thinking to yourself what blew that fuse ! As you say could be many reasons ...Enjoyed the Video 👍

    I have an ML w163 2002 model, i jumped started the vehicle recently due to a flat battery and then soon after the fan stop working on slow speed. The problem was a spike in current that destroyed one of the capacitors inside the fan regulator. New fan complete assembly is around £300 but if I bodge it and remove the existing fan regulator with a Volvo one all should be good or alternatively I might just replace the faulty capacitor . AC doesn't work and you get a low fluid radiator light pops up on the dash board with full speed on the fan when it warms up ( for anyone with the same issue).

    Complete nonsense. Voltage doesn't blow a fuse, current does. So you changed a fuse and it's OK again. Bodging, or what?

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  2 года назад +1

      Yes... fuse was OK after replaced... as per the video...
      Not sure what you mean with bodging though...
      Thank you for watching!

    • @seankirby2580
      @seankirby2580 2 года назад

      @@LMAutoRepairs Bodging means not finding the fault and simply replacing a blown fuse. Maybe if you spent more time fault-finding, and less time telling us what you're drinking, you'd do better.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  2 года назад

      🤣
      How could I look for a fault that was non-existent at that time?
      Look where?
      Look for what?
      The only thing I admittedly missed, as someone else constructively pointed it out, was clamp measure the current on that fuse, to see how close it was to the fuse rated current...
      That said, the car never came back, otherwise this video wouldn't have been published or would have a follow up...
      Intermittent faults are/or can be extremely difficult to find, anyone that actually works on this field knows that...
      Again, thank you for watching!

    • @seankirby2580
      @seankirby2580 2 года назад

      @@LMAutoRepairs Why post a video of a fault you couldn't find? You obviously don't know your Volts from your Amps.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  2 года назад

      My previous coment already addressed the volts/current misunderstanding...
      If that is the only think you can pick up on... then carry on...
      Majority of your comments on my channel are just more of the same anyway...
      If you have something constructive to say, by all means.. anything else, just don't bother, you are wasting your time and mine...
      This by the way, is my last saying on this...
      Have a lovely day!
