Want to see if the product you are buying on Amazon Prime Day 2024 is actually worth it? Try this trick out so see if you are getting a good deal. #amazon #onlineshopping #deals
That is exactly what I just notice. I had something saved a while back, and I looked again its "on sale" but its the same price, but the original price is higher. Stores do the same thing on Black Friday as well. If you go before, and check out the price, you will see the same price on sale with higher original value.
Yeah they did this with their bed sheet sets. I knew I had bought them 2 separate times for 29.99. On prime day they were on sale for 21.99 but the list price was 79.99 making it look like an incredible deal when really you only save $8, not $58.
Your channels content is TOP notch. I’m telling ya, TOP notch. I feel like a an idiot sometimes when I learn something from you. The amount of useful information per second is off the charts with you
I’ve been waiting for prime day to buy a specific item. It’s normally $130. It’s always been $130. Today it’s $99! Buy from companies with integrity. Not sponsored at all. But get yourself a MEATer. It’s a meat thermometer. Badass meat thermometer.
All companies do this and have been for years. JcP stopped doing it for a time, and instead of sales, they just had all regular prices, but realized people are dumb and "need" sale prices to impulse buy more than they need.
Yeah they wanted to be honest and almost went bankrupt from it.... it's infuriating that the world has to focus on the stupidity of people. This is why we can never have nice things. Reminds me of when A&W had the 1/3 burger and it failed cause people thought 1/4 was more...
Former USG1 (5 years) here. Prime day or any of the “special” days are just them clearing old inventory. Never had I seen them increasing inventory or getting newer items prior to those special days!
Before blackfriday/prime day sale, I go and look up things I want; before saving screens shots. During the sale I pull up my screen shots and compare to see if I want the deal
Companies have been doing this for years, nothing new going on. If you keep the product in your basket long enough you’ll see the price yo-yo several times. I always wait out until it’s at a price I’m willing to pay.
A Recommended Retail Price only has to be active one day of the year by law in Australia. Some companies use this to say 60% off 364 days of the year. The clothing brand 'Kathmandu' has been doing this for maybe 2 decades, but the masses haven't cottoned on and they still do it.
I remember that stores used to do something similar. They would raise the price and then slap a 'sale' tag on top of it. I remember back in 1987, Kroger, the grocery store chain, did this all the time!
I've seen prices go up on Prime Day. Often it's cheapest a week before. Your best bet is to shop and keep items in your cart so you can track the price on a daily basis starting at least a month prior to Prime Days. The first year I spent hundreds. This year, under $50.00.
I only buy things on days like prime day or black friday that i already wanted. I keep track of the prices as they rise and fall and i see a ton doing fake sales on those days. A lot just are constantly on sale and never hit the price they claim is normal, but some even raise the normal price and then list the sale price as the standard price. This will help you avoid getting tricked into paying the normal price while thinking it's on sale
I noticed this just by the prices, i seen a pair of shoes for 80 bucks, 30 percent off. But i remembered seeing the same shoes for the same price a couple of months before.
I memorize prices and I saw a lot of this for nearly everything I looked at. I did find some good deals though, but these price lies are everywhere. You can even find stuff marked up 1000% I bet that is done with the hope someone will buy it and not notice until it is too late. Free market and too much freedom causes a lot of evil acts
Every damn speaker bar that I looked up was either jacked up in price a month before or in the case of actual Amazon products for LITERALLY 1 minute starting at 11:59PM the night before.
Prime day is like when car dealerships have "reduced pricing or sales" they jack the price and then lower them to slightly higher than base price, oh black Friday & cyber Monday also do this. If you really want a good discount wait until after the holiday or deal when they are trying to sell of excess stock.
Best strategy: go check the prices of what you want and save it in your cart, wait for discounts days, prime, black friday, hot sale, whatever, then see if the price really dropped, do this in different online stores then you'll get the best discounts.
recently wanted to buy the riddler year one comic, kindle edition was on sale for around $3-5 (normally $20). I decided to hold off for the night, and next day I checked back in. turns out it was prime day, so I went to see how much it was then, and it was "on prime day sale" for $16. like?? hello??
yes I think retail mostly has to have the higher price for at least 28 days prior and can legally reduce the price after. that "wonderful" discount price was there on day 3o tho" lol
I thought that it was common knowledge that companies jack up the price before lowering as a “sale.” My grandmother used to tell me that when she worked retail they do this, it’s stuck with me ever since.
Like everything else in life, Prime and Prime Day are scams. I have noticed that for some products if I buy them with Prime, the price is higher but the shipping is free. If I buy them without Prime, the price is lower, but the shipping will be like $5, unless I meet shipping minimums, then I just get it shipped for free, and wait a couple more days.
I've noticed this about prime day. I've gotten things i liked and went back to get another one and oh look, it's still the special prime day discounted price... Bologna
Noticed that on an Amazon Basics bed frame I was looking at a few months ago, was $76 in April, $86 in May and went all the way up to $126 in June. Now it’s at $88 on Prime day
Just buy what you need, buy what you want if you have money left. Do not listen to the sellers, of course every deal is a trick. They are making money, they are not a philanthropy.
I really did not like that when they started changing the screen up I thought my account was hacked. Them doing an Amazon prime day is equivocating to me like spinning the wheel on Alibaba or Temu or some s*** like that. No surprises please thank you. But yeah it's just a gimmick like Black Friday.
I was waiting for Amazon days for 3 weeks to purchase a few items I had saved, just to find out they had increased the original price to make it look like we were getting a discount. I didn’t buy. 😂
That’s like all sales . In general sales and discounts are for fools. Just buy it. Focus on making money in real estate or your job, way better time spent

I knew that for years. Every store does the exact same thing for Black Friday.
That's fraud
Thank you exposing their dirty dealing!
It’s not a secret that online prices change and very frequently
thats..... not what ..... oh forget it. @@UKsystems
"how to upgrade adhd to ad4k" bro 💀
This happened for the past 3 years with Black Friday. Yall just spending money I’m investing 😂😂
not being sarcastic at all but i'm proud of you. i hope you achieve all your ambitions
yeah investing is HARD WORK . the people who have real jobs and cant afford to invest need to learn a thing or two
People with this extension: "you dare use my own spells against me potter?"
😂😂

this plugin is like it’s made for those who don’t research or people who just buy because of sales
This is illegal in the EU.
They still do it, hard to enforce.
Yeah it is, but the biggest stores still do it.
I live in the EU and everyone does it xd
I have that addon for my browser for reasons like this. And I also live in the EU.
It's illegal but nobody gives a shit.
I was so surprised by this comment I almost dropped my gun.
Why is a browser extension illegal?
All companies do this and have been for years. JcP stopped doing it for a time, and instead of sales, they just had all regular prices, but realized people are dumb and "need" sale prices to impulse buy more than they need.

1984 Pricing schedule? Of course it is marked down just yesterday the bread was 1.40 now it's 1.29! ... two days ago it went for 0.89...
Former USG1 (5 years) here. Prime day or any of the “special” days are just them clearing old inventory. Never had I seen them increasing inventory or getting newer items prior to those special days!
I had a couch in my cart that was around $299. Prime day came and it went up to $320 on sale from $1000. No joke. Thought that was wild.
Before blackfriday/prime day sale, I go and look up things I want; before saving screens shots. During the sale I pull up my screen shots and compare to see if I want the deal
No no no.. that’s inflation, but then the sale happened.. same thing for other items.. 😅
Companies have been doing this for years, nothing new going on. If you keep the product in your basket long enough you’ll see the price yo-yo several times. I always wait out until it’s at a price I’m willing to pay.

Fakespot also give the price history of a product. Very handy.
Good lookin out was just searching for something like this. Thanks

Good way to gauge inflation too
They raised the prices after prime day significantly once ppl reported this. But give it a month once ppl forget and the prices will go back down.
This is useful af!! Ty!
Also, water is wet. Fire is hot. The mitochondria is the power house of the cell. That's 3 more facts you definitely didn't know.

I have this. It pisses me off to no end. You can see some bullshit go up in price for just an hour and then flagrantly scam
Ha! I didn't need this extension to know this. I've been noticing the price lies for 3 years now.
I thought that it was common knowledge that companies jack up the price before lowering as a “sale.” My grandmother used to tell me that when she worked retail they do this, it’s stuck with me ever since.
Yep its happening everywhere pay attention to the sales a year befor because stuff like this is seasonal black friday is not a deal
Sneaking Sneaking 🎉. Buy nothing on their sale event. Keep looking days after sale and bam they will be clearance 😊
Yep a shelf ive been looking at is around 70 it was 45 yesterday and its 77 on prime day. Ill wait til black friday again.
Like everything else in life, Prime and Prime Day are scams.

This is true for every sale ever
Noticed that on an Amazon Basics bed frame I was looking at a few months ago, was $76 in April, $86 in May and went all the way up to $126 in June. Now it’s at $88 on Prime day
Not allowed in the EU. When Amazon does that in the EU, they get a huge fine.
I’ve used so many of good suggestions. Love the content!
Just got this, thank you!
PayPal Honey extension does the same thing.
What is an extension and how can I add it to my browser? Thanks for your suggestions.
Love your channel but this ist fu** awesome ❤🎉
I got the extension, it's amazing
The edge browser has this feature built in. No extension needed
Just buy what you need, buy what you want if you have money left.
Do not listen to the sellers, of course every deal is a trick. They are making money, they are not a philanthropy.
Harbor Freight Tools ALL YEAR 😂😂
That's actually illegal to do... Jacking up the price and then adding a discount... I think it counts as a type of fraud...
Works! Using it now!
If that is true I pretty sure that practice is against the FTC rules
I really did not like that when they started changing the screen up I thought my account was hacked. Them doing an Amazon prime day is equivocating to me like spinning the wheel on Alibaba or Temu or some s*** like that. No surprises please thank you. But yeah it's just a gimmick like Black Friday.
Awesome !! Excellent hint! 👍
This practice is technically illegal but it's difficult to enforce
I use vetted. Similar idea.
They jack up prices at Cmas too
Not just amazing, every company does this. And I noticed it one day when I saw a “flash sale”. Little do they know I have a memory of an elephant
I was waiting for Amazon days for 3 weeks to purchase a few items I had saved, just to find out they had increased the original price to make it look like we were getting a discount. I didn’t buy. 😂
Thank you i was looking for this vid!
I noticed this on art materials..
I bought a LAN cable which had 200 rupees less cost than amazon prime day costing 🤪
Honey does this too!
Why does the graph look like an entire map damn
I now this since the 90s
I love you man. That is all. Carry on.
Thanks for the knowledge my boy
Saved my whole life bro
And i found this on July 18.... yay
That’s like all sales . In general sales and discounts are for fools. Just buy it. Focus on making money in real estate or your job, way better time spent
Fuck me, I was literally wishing for something like this and I find it right after I bought my shit lolll
That’s why the owner is so rich !!!
Just like black friday lol
Thanks
You are a very good person! You one really deserves to upgrade your adhd! I hope you did it
Bro is goated
Same tactic for black friday
XD, in some European countries all of the online stores must show you the lowest price from last 30 days
If you want a product buy it if you don’t ,don’t waste your money my tip of the day 🤙
That’s how 100% of all “sales” work.
Man thank you I knew I wasn't going crazy
Is that extension cybersafe?
Tysm❤
Prime day is a huge scam I'm not gonna bother next year.
The deals are as good as they are any other random day of the month.
I noticed a vac that I wanted went up $100 on prime day 🤬
Time to contact the ftc
