I have a masters in geodesy and also work as a data scientist. Recently, I found Spatial Data Science by chance. I am interested. I noticed many PhD positions in remote sensing require this skill.
Interesting video. I was quite fascinated by how uber is using spatial data science to figure out traffic and prime locations in NY for customers during the prime time during the entire day. Is it possible and rewarding if one does the transition to spatial data science from mechanical engineering?
Thanks Anoop! Although we haven't seen many Spatial Data Scientists from a mechanical engineering background in our team, it is definitely doable. We see lots of talent coming from maths, computer engineering and physics backgrounds in particular. Good luck!
I have background in Geomatics (whic basically deals with spatial data collection and analysis). Do you recommend that I go for spatial data science for my masters?
I have a background in electronics engineering, and software. I am looking at a career change to this. Is that quite easy (I know basics of Python, C++, stats).
Sorry, IMO the title is not precisely named. I've just got a sense that what you guys are doing and Spatial Data Science becomes more popular/trendy, but failed to understand what it is actually. Need to search for another material...
really don't understand the use of the high speed jazz in the background distracting the watcher of the factual matter being shared. Invasive. Frustrating.
Interesting, I'm undergrad geography student. I'm now upgrading my skill from gis to more spatial data science, wish me good luck
How’s it going
I have a GIS background now going back to school to get my MS in Analytics. Super stoked for this career pathway.

Love statistics & GIS spatial analysis... Where do I start!?!?
Very informative video but background track is way too loud making it difficult to hear what they are talking about.
Thanks for the feedback jarek! We will look into changing the mix, for now I'd suggest turning on subtitles within the video.

Hello, I registered with my email to get the book but the link that was sent to me had no content loaded with it.

Where i cant study to be a specialist spatial data science

next time please don't use the background music it's very disturbing
Which are the best universities to study this subject at masters level in europe?
University of Leeds is one of the best.
I cannot focus on what anyone is saying because of the music!
