Thanks John glad you enjoyed it .
Superb, many thanks John. Happy Christmas! Darren
Thanks mate .
I see you are running on the Big Loop now, congratulations!
One track that I run on here in Colorado a turning wye has a 6 1/2% grade that all trains have to go thru. The owner keeps a bag of Kiddies' Playground Sand near by and the engineers apply it to the rails after every 3rd or 4th train climbs up it - works really well. The owner has a modified 2-6-2 Sweet Creek running there.
Yes , the big loop is back in service after a lot of work , we have thought of doing the same thing with sand .
Good stuff!!
Can't get enough of this little railway, hoping to come up for a visit after new years, been telling Ken I have been trying to get there for a while. Beautiful day there too, perfect weather.
Yes, the steam level increase made a big difference on the whistle, much better.
Agreed , we are happy with the result
Hallo john im from indonesia, used to in indonesia many lots sugar train lokomotif, now mostly already not availabe.
Hmmm, maybe you should put together a mini Shay style loco, ya got some slip there.
Would be nice but our loco shed is full with engines already
It appears these little Lokeys may benefit greatly with the installation of 'operable' sand boxes..... was there ever any plans for that idea?
Not that I know of , the main problem here was grass on the tracks , this has since been removed but the steep grades remain .
Merlin! ❤
Did he keep the Christmas pies at the correct temperature?
Yes he did . lol
Where is the location of this railway
In the outer east of Melbourne Australia
