    I bought Suzuki Ertiga last Dec. 2023 during my vacation in the Philippines. We went to Ilocos Norte for a week, drove around that area. Fuel efficient, just like my Toyota Prius I been driving here in Daly City Ca. Am very happy with Suzuki. We will use it for traveling when I go home to retire this coming year 2025. Very nice car, first time to buy another brand aside from Toyota.

      @@yellowflash6319 we bought rush in 2019 vs the expander and brv. it was only the E model then which was a 5 seater. we chose it because it has a higher ground clearance and bigger wheels and rear wheel drive. given the road conditions here with occasional flash floods . cons is it has a stiffer ride. i like this new ertiga now but i find the wheels too small for its body.

      @@the.annethology Bro, let me respond to this. It’s all about the overall build quality. The body and chassis feel much more solid and durable compared to the Veloz. With the Veloz, even a firm press on the roof can make it cave in while on the Ertiga, you won't experience this oddly feel. It just feels so durable like Mazda and Mercedez Cars. The space also feels so airy and welcoming more than the Veloz. This vehicle is very practical I would say even though the looks of it is not that obtrusive like any other brands. That's why I love Suzuki. Hindi ka magmukhang mayabang sa mata ng tao :) Simple lang sya and masarap syang i drive.

    I think - and this is as an absolute newbie to driving a car in Metro Manila - that given the price point and the no-coding benefits, a lot of people will think that the price point is just right, especially if fuel prices go up again like last year, at least for inter-city driving (and maybe some nearby out-of-town trips).

      Addendum: I would love, love, love if Caco & the Autodeal team could make a video on the strengths and weaknesses of mild hybrids in general.

  • @gc1653

    I agree with a lot of comments below. Yes it’s a MILD hybrid. I owned a mild hybrid too and the car is now going 7 years. Battery (24V) lasted 4 years. 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder. I would say very efficient at 8L within metro Manila and 15L along the highway. My second car is another mild hybrid with a 48V battery 2.0L Turbo 7 seater SUV can achieve 12L per km on highway. This one is different than the my previous car. This mild hybrid is a 4WD electric motor assisted (rear wheel) during acceleration. Gasoline motor is front wheel. Start stop runs very smooth for the new car as compared to my 6 years old as technology on mild hybrid is more advance. Both cars are European made.

    I've never found myself a fan of cars in general as I don't think I never need it, I'm happy with my motorbike that gets me everywhere. But I rode Grab once and this was the driver's car and this car changed me since then. It was soooooo convenient. It's not chunky unlike the others that have so much unnecessary space. This was is a straight shooter. I like the space so much. Just enough. I'm currently looking for dealers in Mindanao that have other offers like free upgrades on certain features. It's such a nice and lovely car. :)

    I've stated this on other reviews. Initially, I am underwhelmed by this release due to the fact that it's a bit different from the one teased at the PIMS, with some of the features not available, like the leather seats and 360 degree camera for example.
    But it's starting to grow on me now. It's starting to make sense in relation to pricing. And I must say, that pricing is perfect for what you're getting. Or maybe, just maybe, Autodeal has that effect on you. They just tell you what makes sense.

    Hi Caco, do people really think Suzuki cars are only for those with less money? I’ve faced a lot of judgment from car enthusiasts ever since I bought a Celerio as my first car back in 2021. Now that I have a family, I'm considering the Ertiga or XL7, but my relatives keep saying that I must be poor since I can't afford a different brand. The truth is, I'm a freelancer who has provided consistent web development services in the US. Unfortunately, many banks have rejected my loan applications due to the nature of my work.
    I don’t really have a problem driving a Suzuki-I actually like the brand. It’s just that people seem to look down on me because of it, and I don’t understand why. It’s not that I couldn’t afford other brands; it's that EastWest Bank was the only one that approved me. I tried applying for financing with Mitsubishi, Geely, Ford, and Toyota, but they all reached the same conclusion and wouldn't process my application due to my freelance status.
    What they don’t realize is that freelancing is my business, and I probably earn more than many bankers or dealership agents. They just don’t get it.

    How would the AC would work if the engine is off? The compressor is powered by engine right?

      @benedictt2246 Год назад

      When engine is off, hybrid electric will take over. But with just a 12v electric battery, i doubt if it can sustain to power the AC, maybe the AC blower only minus the thermostat

      Sa innova may gumawa na niyan sa base model J(MT). Regarding sa 2nd question not sure though. Para sa akin gagamitin ko lang yung CC kapag nasa expressways(on 5th gear) medyo nakakaconfuse din kasi lalo na on what will happen pag nag shift ka to other/lower gears.

    I was looking for the hybrid that was shown in trans show with the back door openning automaticaly...still ertiga for me is d best since i bought the 2020 gl model...fuel efficient..long drive can give you 21 l / km..and so light to drive..aircondtion is so cold...i luv my ertiga...price is so reasonable..
