I found your blog post originally via pinterest so I sewed over the heel instead of sc as I couldn't get it to work out quite right. Then I hadn't any need for any of the decreases. I had exactly 24 stitches after sewing and just continued around normally. It turned out great! Super cute stocking

I absolutely love this pattern. I just wish the camera was closer making it easier to see what you're doing. My eyes can't focus well enough.

Would it affect the stocking if I put one part of the leather strap through the hole of the stocking instead of having to find a bigger rivet

Crazy question... What is the yarn on the right side (my view) in the 2nd shelf down. The blue, orange, cream colored yarn? I had some very similar (I love this yarn from hobby lobby) for a project, but of course got rid of the label and now cant find it :(
I believe that one was discontinued from Hobby Lobby.. I forgot the name too :(

Hi! I would just play around with different yarns you have on hand and see what you like best. Red Heart Hugga Fur would be pretty! anything with texture would be pretty but it also looks great with a contrasting color of worsted weight too :)

It's a 5 weight yarn, so I used another bulky yarn. Worked out fine.
I keep having issues with row 3. Row 2 I put two half double crochet in the same space but row 3 it ends up being 23 stitches . Can some one help me
Maybe you’re not joining on the correct spot.
Make sure you chain one as well.. hope that helps 🤷🏽♀️

I love this yarn from Hobby Lobby but any yarn could work. It will just change the finished look some!
