Because God wants to see if we trust in Him.Thereby He puts us through the tests, and if we persevere very strongly through the hardships will prove that we trust in Him. Moreover, sometimes pain and sufferings can also be a gift of God's grace, so we can face the reality of faith and grow stronger through it.
