    WOW 😯 WOW 😯 WOW 😯 Kylie, I really really love ❤️ all those pages but, the really really vibrant one at the end, is my favourite. I’ve just watched Nina’s video on nail polish marbling and it was stunning too. So that’s my next playtime in the craft room. Thank you so much
    Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

    There are some neat crafting options for marbled papers, such as lining the insides of boxes or using as gift wrapping paper or laminating them and turning them into place mats, etc... I haven’t tried any crafting with them other than making little paper crafts for embellishments on cards. I hope you and Nina will demonstrate some of your uses for these papers. I love colors and so do my two granddaughters ages 4 and 8 and we’ve had fun making them several times, using shave cream and food coloring. I haven’t tried paints or inks to make them. Really small children might be tempted to lick their fingers doing this craft and for that reason some people use whipped cream (cool whip) and food coloring. Thanks for sharing this❤️

    • @KylieCooStudio
      @KylieCooStudio  3 года назад +1

      Thanks so much Amanda and yes we will be showing how we use them at some point. I think food colouring and whipped cream is a good idea for little ones.

      The shaving foam seems to get everywhere - especially when working in a small space trying to keep it all within the range of the camera - but lots of fun. Thanks for watching and commenting Alisa :)

    You had some beautiful results! If you use a bamboo skewer and you don't mix your colours so thoroughly you will be able to get more patterned prints before the colours lose their definition and mix together too much. I've taught this technique to children and adults and everyone has fun and doesn't want to stop!

    You read my mind lol i thought what if i use inks and in all warm colors and then you did! I think less mixing, like using the end of the stick instead of the brush side would keep the color on the surface instead of it mixing in too much with the cream would get better results on the 2nd,3rd etc dips

    • @KylieCooStudio
      @KylieCooStudio  3 года назад

      Thanks PattyAnn - the warm colour inks turned out really nice. And thanks for the tip - I think I was overtaxing because I was so busy looking at the patterns being created in the tin and then of course some just ended up totally mixed together! :)

    Kylie, I love the way you are free to experiment. I am so scared of making everything perfect that I can't see to give myself permission to experiment. I think for your first time doing this, that you learned a lot. And some of your experiments even surprised me! This is one of my favorite techniques. I just told myself a few days ago that I needed to get my shaving foam out because my marbled paper stock has gotten very low. Thanks for sharing! Loved the video!!!

    • @KylieCooStudio
      @KylieCooStudio  3 года назад +1

      Thanks so much Lenella. Believe it or not, deep down I am a perfectionist but I have fought hard and continue to have to fight hard to stop myself from being so. I love to experiment with supplies and decided when I started my channel that when painting or making things if I got something wrong then that was just the way it was and that it was important to show people that - it's just about keeping it real. And if I didn't do that then I'd not have one single video up because there is nearly always some sort of issue! Please do give yourself permission to experiment - it opens up a whole new world. :)

    If you are looking for defined swirls, don't use a brush! It blends it too much. And if it is blended too much, just squirt in a few more dabs of shaving cream to bring some white back in for sharper definition. Also, don't use complimentary colors together, red & green, Blue & orange, Yellow & purple, unless you only pull through it with a stick a few times. If you stir too much you will get brown. Use colors next to each other on the color wheel: green, teal, blue, etc. After you pull a couple of papers with that and are about done with that batch of shaving cream, then you can add a red or orange to it for contrast.

    • @KylieCooStudio
      @KylieCooStudio  3 года назад +1

      I did have fun Chrisann. And fortunately, I am the opposite (I enjoy getting down and mucky with paints etc though not food - when it comes to food I am constantly washing my hands!). Believe it or not I did have a pair of those thin blue gloves at the side as I know from the past that my hands have stained when using spray inks and though for the most part I don't mind that I thought it best to try and avoid if possible. Anyway, I was so into this that I completely forgot to use them! My point in all of that was to say that maybe you could try gloves? Thanks for watching and commenting - always appreciated :)

      @@KylieCooStudio even though I cannot get 'down and dirty' myself, I do enjoy others really going for it with their art...well, except watching Tina at Shabbydabbydoodah constantly whiping toxic glue on her hands and dipping her fingers into things I know are labeled not for skin contact (but I do adore her and her YT channel). I have a sensitivity to latex so the gloves are out unkess I could find some other kind, I'll have to look around!

    • @KylieCooStudio
      @KylieCooStudio  3 года назад

      Yes the gloves I have are latex free because likewise I have a sensitivity to latex. My biggest issue with gloves is that I have small hands with short fingers so they are always flapping at the fingertips which just bugs me!
