I did this but used some old artificial flower stems that had a wire inside. Just another idea if you don't have whatever the black things are in the video.
If you live in a country where they do not have glue guns you can purchase one on Amazon most likely you could find one that matches up with your electrical outlets but if you cannot many countries have Transformers
