The irony is that the government can force you to give up your life for their interest, but it's illegal for you to decide what you want to do with your life as if i don't have autonomy over myself.
The other irony is that the suicide prevention hotline can send police to your house to take you unwillingly to a mental hospital. I went to one voluntarily and it was the worst thing I ever did. Never go to one.
my problem is that a lot of the images of good things are more performative or empty and not of substance and ultimately work to reaffirm to the target audience that life really doesn't have meaning afterall
I feel safe in my assumption that these posts are from men with little to no investment in self actualization nor their mental health. These images are consumption as fleeting distraction.
It's those moments of peace with something you enjoy that can make all the suffering of life worth it. Some of my happiest moments are being awake at 3 AM dancing in my room because no one can see me do it. Life is what you make of it.
