If someone lied about who they are and successfully tricked you for months. Then suddenly at their debut live performance with you, not even before the performance but during, they reveal it was all a lie. They both literally played with her feelings the entire film, like legit lying to her face even when she questioned things. They could have told her so many times and she gave them so many opportunities to do so but they lied instead. My question is why wouldn’t she be super upset and why on earth should she believe anything they say when they constantly lied to her? “Did you really mean the words that you said?” - She feels like they used and tricked her for their own personal gain. Loved the reaction btw ❤️, I am just surprised you couldn’t see her perspective at all. Her anger was justified, besides slapping because no matter how mad you are things shouldn’t get physical lol she didn’t need to apologize she did nothing wrong.
I feel like if Cyrus and Kris hadn’t gone for such a dramatic reveal and publicly blindsided her maybe Roxi would have reacted better. She probably felt a heightened sense of betrayal and embarrassment thanks to the circumstances. It does come off a bit like a publicity stunt. Maybe she felt used as well as lied to.
I know this is sort of off topic, but with the discussion of kids and teens not having spaces to be themselves, I really wish we had more spaces like the place Cyrus works at. It will be a way for teens to hang out and socialize and also have a (maybe) safe place to get on stage and face their fears of performing. It is sad we don’t have stuff like this for them.
I think Roxy had every right to be mad. It doesn't really matter if Cyrus was doing it to be a good friend to Chris, he still did it at Roxy's expense. Not only did they continually lie to her, but Cyrus also gaslit her when she caught him rapping, when they finally did decide to come clean they did it by blindsiding her in the middle of a live performance. And probably what hurt her most of all was the fact that Cyrus watched her stress about being a good partner to Chris, and especially about the fact that they weren't connecting well, and decided to just let her keep worrying about it even though he knew the reason all along. Anyway, this was a big movie for me growing up as a black kid in a religious family, and i love seeing people react to it. This is definitely my favorite DCOM, and the only thing I really dislike about it is the fact that it convinced my mom to force me to sing a solo rendition of "This Little Light of Mine" in our church after we watched it together the week it premiered lol.

You watched the extended version where Cyrus raps back at the guy that calls him out in the club. The original version that I watched, it doesn't have that extended scene, and Cyrus acts intimidated and never raps back at the Bling guy.
I just learned that this film is a loose adaptation of Edmond Rostand's 1897 play, Cyrano de Bergerac. Even Cyrus' name is a play on Cyrano's name, Cyrus DeBarge.
PLEASE REACT TO "SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON"! It's a story about a strong, beautiful horse with a spirit that can never be broken. I cry every time I watch it! It's a INCREDIBLE film, and the songs are so cool! But it's not a musical and the animals can't talk. 😭💔🔥
I have a show suggestion Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix SOOOO GOOD!!!! Each episode has a song and the storyline is pretty good too. Julie aka Madison has vocals that need to be heard especially cause she was I think 15? At the time. She was young. I feel like you’d guys would enjoy it. It can be a little cringe at times but definitely worth it for the songs.
9:18 When I first watched this movie this scene was different. The scene I watched was Cyrus backing down and walking away, there was no rap before Bling's challenge.
Ngl in the reveal of Truth in the performance, I always assumed that the lyrics for the song where others but Truth being so good with rap battling and saying stuff off the cuff, and Roxie being a professional pop star and the improv that comes with it, they both molded what they actually wanted to say to the rhythm and ditched the actual lyrics prepared for the show😅😊
You are the only people that I’ve watched reacting to this that have understood Lord of the bling because everybody else always thinks that in the final rap battle that he was just killing it. Lord of the bling was literally just throwing random insults towards Cyrus instead of actually having a well put together diss because he went with what he thought of Cyrus instead of what would further push that narrative about Cyrus or at least some accurate stuff about him his most accurate thing was talking about his job

You would REALLY love Julie and the Phantoms. And oh my god, Roxie's performance at the church is BEAUTIFUL. I got full body chills, but I do feel she had the right to be angry, she was lied to multiple times by them throughout this whole movie. Like okay she did assume that Chris was Truth but Cyrus did send a picture of both of them so the mistake is understandable, and in the beginnin when the boys realized the mix up, they decided between the two of them to not tell her.

I see you're watching the extended. Cut the one that showed on Disney had Cyrus backed down from the rap battle at the beginning. So this was interesting to see for the first time.
So this came out in my junior year of high school, and I remember my little sisters watching it, and it nagged me at the back of my mind that the storyline and characters sounded so familiar. As it turns out, in 7th grade, I had read the play this movie was based on. Cyrano de Bergerac. Even if you haven't ever read this French play that takes place in the 17th century, you will be familiar with elements from the story. The most notable is "playing Cyrano," in which one person feeds lines and advice to another (more shy/ or dimwitted) person in order to romance a third person who is usually a romantic interest to both people. Cyrus is obviously Cyrano, Kris is Christian, and Roxie is Roxanne. Steve Martin also starred in a movie that is a parody of this play called Roxanne. There are also other films that are more faithful adaptation, such as the one in 2021 that starred Peter Dinklage as Cyrano.
This is a feel good musical movie, with a noteworthy cast. I loved Eureka, was so sad when it was ended prematurely. One of my favorite movie musicals is Little Shop of Horrors.

The only unrealistic thing about this movie is Cyrus vocals are very obvious lol he has a very deep, unique voice and that is very heard with his singing voice as well and his friends were very boy band😂
Oh, and one more thing. The church pastor or whatever he is talks about being blasted by harsh language on the car stereo. What I've told every single person who has ever voiced that complaint. Gee, isn't it great that there are many, many stations you can listen to on your radio? If you consider hip hop offensive music, it seems like a very simple solution to not listen to radio stations that play hip hop. Yes, you're right, this does highlight the very common habit of excluding thought. LOL. Sam is more outspoken about education, but Maria generally agrees.
Maria, you have not watched 'Lemonade Mouth'?!? I was in my mid-20s when this film and 'Lemonade Mouth' came out so it isn't the same nostalgia as 'Cheetah Girls' or even 'High School Musical', but I really, really enjoy all of them. (I have never been able to get into 'Camp Rock' and that film actually put off watching 'Teen Beach Movie', 'Descendants', and 'Zombies'. I actually like those three quite a lot now.) I think the songs in this are great, but I have only watched this film a couple times because the religious aspects sour the film for me. I have mentioned this a ton of times, but growing up in small US southern town (with numerous churches) just helped show me some of the worst aspects of humanity. I know the dad redeems himself at the end, but I have met so many people that act like the pastor in this film and it is hard for me to overlook that.
I had something like that when I went to church. I invited my boyfriend on Wednesday and when I saw him kiss him. But I not a full make out sense. But he talks about that at night. It made me feel so bad about myself. It made me stop going to Church
now the bars arent great in this movie but i do still love it and i kinda like the idea bling wins alot because of clout even though he actually isnt good at rapping.
The amount of times I've watched this movie even still to this day is hilarious, I'm pretty sure 95% of people around my age know every bit of the lyrics to these songs word for word 😂and although It's in my top 5 music DCOM's Starstruck and Lemonade Mouth are my top 2 and can't be touched.

You watched the extended version where Cyrus raps back at the guy that calls him out in the club. The original version that I watched, it doesn't have that extended scene, and Cyrus acts intimidated and never raps back at the Bling guy.
Woah! I was not expecting this to pop up in my list of background movie videos today! Glad you guys got it approved 🎉
Thanks Taliyah! Hope you enjoy it 😁 - Sam
32:25 Spot on impression, Sam! 😂
I just learned that this film is a loose adaptation of Edmond Rostand's 1897 play, Cyrano de Bergerac. Even Cyrus' name is a play on Cyrano's name, Cyrus DeBarge.
OMG I love Maria's hair !! Haven't tuned in for a video in a while but it looks amazing
Thanks so much! And thanks for tuning in 😊✨ - Maria
If you guys are looking for more music movies, I suggest Selena (1997)
Yess!! Such a classic!
I loved when this came on the tv, i think we even have this on dvd somewhere on our shelf haha
ugh that is the best movie i have ever seen !!! I was 7 when i first saw it soo good!!
In the version that actually aired, he didn’t rap back to Bling in the beginning and they actually did play it like he was too scared.
I have a show suggestion
Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix
SOOOO GOOD!!!! Each episode has a song and the storyline is pretty good too. Julie aka Madison has vocals that need to be heard especially cause she was I think 15? At the time. She was young. I feel like you’d guys would enjoy it. It can be a little cringe at times but definitely worth it for the songs.
Yessss I keep looking for reactions to this show, they would love it so much. I hope they see this comment.
@@besupaaa me too! I hope they see it
9:18 When I first watched this movie this scene was different. The scene I watched was Cyrus backing down and walking away, there was no rap before Bling's challenge.
I love pop music as well as punk, alternative, rock, heavy metal & death metal, K-Pop.
Ngl in the reveal of Truth in the performance, I always assumed that the lyrics for the song where others but Truth being so good with rap battling and saying stuff off the cuff, and Roxie being a professional pop star and the improv that comes with it, they both molded what they actually wanted to say to the rhythm and ditched the actual lyrics prepared for the show😅😊
35:01 Am I the only one who thinks his wardrobe is fine for a performance? At least this particular outfit
5:35 Me (before seeing the edit): He looks like "the real star 🌟 " (Sam, Stef and Timothy's words in their collab 😂) of Starstruck.
Me after seeing the edit: Glad to know my shot in the dark guess was correct 😂
Nice work! Been so long since we did that one 😊 - Sam
I have never seen that deleted scene in my life. I was so confused 😭
Great reaction guys as always i didnt realize chloe and halle where in the choir how cuute. They are all industry friends to this day ❤💖
Let it shine letss goooo, was watching the old reactions on the movie budz channel and didn't know that this channel was active. So glad to see you two reacting to DCOM's
I didn't realize this as a teenager, but this movie is basically modernized footloose.
Glad you guys watched this & that you enjoy Lemonade Mouth. I remember you & Stephan didn’t like it at all. However I can see because there can be songs/movies that can be a grower on you. I didn’t watch this when it came out but glad I watched it as I got older
I’m confused, why do you think Stef and I didn’t like Lemonade Mouth?
It’s one of my favourite dcoms now and we both enjoyed it a lot - Sam
Ngl another movie that is similar to this in my opinion is a big underrated movie is Rags. It’s not DCOM but it’s definitely a banger as least to me. Loved LET IT SHINE forever will one of my favorites to watch🎤

1:22:23 Let it Shine!
after watching this movie a few times with youll i had to look up where it was filmed i live around the corner from all of it lol
Ha, that’s cool 😄 - Maria
the actor that plays chris, his real life name is trevor jackson btw
Might be a risky choice, but I recommend Dreamgirls for a musical movie
I see you're watching the extended. Cut the one that showed on Disney had Cyrus backed down from the rap battle at the beginning. So this was interesting to see for the first time.
Fun fact, this is a modern-day retelling of the story Cyrano which has a wonderful movie adaptation starring Peter Dinklage that is also a musical.
I don’t think she picked Chris cause he was cuter. I think it was because he seemed like the main person in the picture.
This is a feel good musical movie, with a noteworthy cast.
I loved Eureka, was so sad when it was ended prematurely.
One of my favorite movie musicals is Little Shop of Horrors.
For sure, really enjoyed it 😄
Eureka was such a good show! Really wish there were more shows like it. Such a good vibe to the storytelling.
I've never seen Little Shop of Horrors - Sam
Could you please react to the DCOM Jump In?
Been thinking about it, so maybe. But we do have quite a few other movies planned already, so I can't make any guarantees - Sam
@@samandmariachannellove jump in!
loved the reaction but idk if someone lied to me and gaslit me for months then shocked me at my debut performance on a big stage i’d be properly upset too. she’s a teen girl this definitely would’ve been confusing for her.
Im so happy yall watched this its a very underrated dcom that has so many good moments. Happ you enjoyed it
I remember this movie so VIVIDLY. But its like ingrained in my brain idk why and im obsessed with it. Any old Disney movies and im in.
Bling was also in Sonny with a Chance !
Such a cute movie! I’m glad you guys reacted to this.
as many times as i watcehed this movie, i never knew their was a deleted scene!!
Coco's country accent was so strong in this 😭
i LOVED this movie when i was a teenanger i used to listen to the soundtrack a lot, sadly i dont think it was that well known here in latin america or at least in argentina, so glad you guys watched it, also unrelated but im obsessed with marias hair
If you want a movie with a killer soundtrack then you got to watch Prince of Egypt ❤❤
I really liked this movie when I was younger
I'm with you Maria and Sam when I hear a sound (in any instrument)I get lost in it 😊. Then the lyrics if they go well with the rhyme 🥰 im in heaven
the manger lila is played by nicole sullivan aka shego from kim possible
Awesome reaction of my favorite Disney Channel movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fun fact: The actor playing Cyrus’ dad (Courtney Vaughn) is the husband of Angela basset
ARE WE THERE YET NEXT!🔥🔥🔥
Let It Shine is one of my favorite movies
Crazy that Tyler James Williams wrote all the music
He did? That’s awesome. I think he did a great job ✌️ - Sam
11:55 yeah so that other scene of him rapping was deleted so hism being insecure/shy makes more sense
My problem with roxie was that she wanted to be with truth for the fact the he could rap if that makes sense
Love this film one of my favorites
You guys should watch 8 Mile! This is like a SUPER watered down disney version 🤣
Isn’t the show called something with Sonny?
Yes it's called Sony With a Chance.
This movie is my childhood frrr
I had something like that when I went to church. I invited my boyfriend on Wednesday and when I saw him kiss him. But I not a full make out sense. But he talks about that at night. It made me feel so bad about myself. It made me stop going to Church
31:10 and also Cyrus is like several inches shorter than Chris
I love this movie and still do
We can see why 👌 - Sam
Should watch rags next
Not a DCOM but I’d love a reaction to the Jessica Alba dance movie Honey
9:13 this scene wasn't actually shown in the premiere
now the bars arent great in this movie but i do still love it and i kinda like the idea bling wins alot because of clout even though he actually isnt good at rapping.
I hear you bro, this is a really good movie. Kinda wish we’d seen it earlier, but also glad we didn’t so we could make this video for it 👌
I like Lemonade Mouth and Starstruck a lot, but I think I prefer this and Cheetah Girls as my favourite Dcoms right now. I’d put those 4 in my top 5 - Sam
@@samandmariachannel Cheetah Girls was definitely great when I was younger I haven't watched it since back in the day. Starstruck inspired me to want to become a singer so it holds a real special place in my heart.
I get you, I would feel the same if I were in the same position ✌️ - Sam
9:43 this scene is edited out of the American cut I think. Or am I tripping
Let it shine and lemonade mouth are the 2 better Disney originals to be made, starstruck as well
Just because facebook wasn’t big in your city/state don’t mean it wasn’t big in other states like Chicago/new York
Oh, Hi Mark 😂
No wait it’s the one with Christopher Wilde
Love it
Am I the only one who doesn’t remember Cyrus’ rap at around 10:16 ?
Nope, we’ve had a lot of people bringing that up. Must’ve been cut out 🤷🏻♀️ - Maria
@ huh that’s so wild. It’s real cool though! Thanks for responding, yall are so fun to watch!! Have a great day 🙃.
@emaliakoziol2982 Thanks so much! You have a good one 😊✨ - Maria
The Cheetah Girls
