Layover is about reminiscing past, longing and nostalgia. The album encapsulated nostalgia & I loved the vibe. Influenced by his love for Jazz and classical music, Taehyung incorporated the same sound in his first album & it is very refreshing.💕💕 It is nothing big but simple and natural & as Tae said it is comforting in every sense!Slow Dancing is my favourite track from this album!! this MV is a visual masterpiece, it’s so pleasing to this MV, it radiates summer vibes & I can totally see Tae’s taste in it, there are so many theories around the MV, with Tae being a mad scientist to whatnot. Honestly, I didn’t think much on any theory and just enjoy it as it is. I don’t know about anyone but I certainly felt nostalgic after watching the MV, especially seeing Tae and his imaginary friends enjoying in the Beach 😭😭💜💜
I love R&B and this album is my fav! And yes, Blue is a mysterious song; I don't get the meaning but I love everything about that song!!! Especially the MV 😻💙

I actually love layover cause, the album screams kim taehyung.we all know that the songs suits him and no one can do better than that .The taes intense voice, music and those urge to listen this songs on car long drive at evening and watching sunset it's perfect combination.i really loved the album ,And i definitely want him to try something other too , and whatever he will do will be the best😌💜💕nd my fav song is slow dancing, i really like that dancing part , its peace to watch they dancing that small dance on that song🥺😻💗💗💗
Honestly, like you said, layover is an album that has the potential to be boring and interesting at the same time. But it is very much subjective. The moment you relate the songs to the kim taehyung that you know, everything falls in place. Like actually. Taehyung was opening himself up in front of us, and everything that he needed to express was expressed through it, which might not exactly be what all the listeners wanted to see. But then again, it was his first album and most importantly, he made it thinking about army as an audience, in which sense it is amazing. Because I'm sure armys would be able to enjoy the songs because they actually know taehyung and why he did this or that. It was also an album through which he wanted to explore the genre that he liked, so obviously it was basically and exploration for himself and meanwhile, those who enjoy it, enjoy it. I personally loved it. The way he used trumpet reminded me of his love for saxophone. The way his voice was given justice finally through layover, the way he just enjoyed the album, I loved everything. And eventhough the songs all looked similar, (first of all each of them has to be musical masterpieces because who made it!), each of them gave me a different set of emotion even in a subtle manner. It was actually very beautiful. Like, the way slow dancing made me feel was definitely different from the way love me again made me feel. So in the end, I don't think he went too much with this album into showcasing it but rather it was a personal exploration and experiment. Loved it and he nailed it.

My fav track is Love Me Again. It's not just a song. I have some special feelings towards this song. After we know that he is going to release his first solo album we were excited. I remember Love Me Again was the first song which got released and we were waiting for the time and I listened to it at the time when it released not like an hour later. And for the first few minutes from when the song started and finished I was speechless and stunned like what I just listened. At first it was him and this was the song he released after a decade. I am writing this comment and I am feeling the same which I felt. That was amazing and I can't write in words. I felt like crying idk why. Second most favourite is slow dancing but the impact that lma has, no other songs has that. ❤ For GA I have layover but want to experience the feeling of winning❤
