To me melancholy is that raging storm that offers both sadness within yet clarity afterwards. The cold gray day laced with the sweet scent of thoughtful insight into the minutes that waved goodbye for moments that have been and shall be. It is a blanket I long since should have discarded but hold close for it offers its own comfort.
