to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are*jklux* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do.
Josie, its the best not walking on your foot for 2 till 4 weeks on a broken Metatarsal. And its normal to still have mild swelling and discomfort. ice and rest is the best medicine. Normally it takes 6weeks or more to completely is healed. Take care dear, good luck😍💖
Josie I have an ice cube tray in the freezer and each individual cube holds excess tomato puree, chopped chillies, coconut milk and any other small quantities of things you don't really want to waste. Just a thought!
I too, have had a broken metatarsal on the top of my foot. I ended up wearing a walking cast (you can remove it at night) for 4 weeks and it healed up great! Walking on it as you are is probably breaking the same bone over and over. (It heals up in between). You could get an xray now to determine if that is happening to you. The walking cast is not bad at all. Good luck, Josie!
I broke my 5th metatarsal so the outside bone of my foot. I had to have surgery to put in a plate and screws. The Dr told me that the metatarsals take the longest to heal. Be really careful with it and allow it to heal.
Yeah, metatarsals aren't teeny weeny, but are the longest bones in the foot (they connect to the toes and make up most of the flatter part of the foot) - I suspect it's a phalanx that's broken, as these don't need treatment (unless we're talking about dislocations). Metatarsal fractures sometimes require a cast of dome sort, and fractures of the 5th metatarsal can be problematic as the blood supply is less than the other metatarsals.
Wow that went so quickly, I was really enjoying this vlog. We haven’t seen or heard anything about La La for a while, I do hope she’s okay. Thank you as always Josie for sharing with us xx
Hi Josie, sorry to hear about your foot. I would see a podiatrist and get an X-ray and MRI. I dropped a bar of soap on the top of my foot a few years ago. Luckily nothing was broken but it did take months to heal. Lots of ice, rest, and supportive shoes. Hope it gets better soon! ❤️🩹
If it is a metatarsal fracture, I'd definitely advise medical evaluation. As these bones aren't teeny weeny, it may be a phalanx fracture, these are generally treated very conservatively (no strapping, just sensible footwear). An MRI is probably overkill, most fractures will show up on x-ray.
@@JosieIrons, it’d be a fun vlog to see a day in the life of you and Charlie as you actually are living it with the day to day routines during a weekday.
The beetroot risotto looks absolutely divine!💜 🥣Perfect summer lunch with all the yummy toppings! And as always a treat - your lovely garden! 🌸💕 Thank you!💐
Hello Josie you should try to cook your beet in the oven with olive oil over them , wrap in foil for 60 minutes at 400 F . And after when cold you peel them...... much much more flavour
Josie, everytime you send the drone up, I am so moved by the beauty of the nature around you 😍🌳🌳 It is wonderful ! And I agree that the grasses pressed look exceptionally beautiful. My compliment for you, you're getting better and better in flower pressing! I love your results! 🍀☘🌿

the yellow H &M dress looked lovely with your tan. The gardens are wonderful. I fractured across the top of my foot, three bones when i fell down some badly made stairs, trying to save my new born in my arms. X ray showed the break. It took nearly a year to heal. I re injured it twice. Once digging in hard clay soil and at work. The last time took three years to heal as the tendons in my foot became very sore after walking. Massage and stretching exercises and shoes with a comfort foot bed helped. And magnesium spray on the sole of my foot. MSM is also good for rebuilding tissue.
Lovely garden. Do take care of your foot. It takes longer to heal if you wear heels. Please consult a specialist to check how it's healing. I wish you a speedy recovery.
I did the same exact thing with my foot. I didn’t realize it was broken for a few weeks and just dealt with the pain. It definitely felt worse after 2 or 3 weeks. Then I started to keep it up more and it started getting better. It took a full 6 weeks to get mostly better.
I was thinking it was because I didn’t rest it at all. I still walked in sandals with block heels. Once I had an x ray and knew it was broken I rested it more. Good luck!

Wonderful healthy breakfast. Your flower pressing is really doing well. Pasta looks delicious. The white H&M dress is lovely on you. Thank you for sharing ❤
I think the pink dress looks really good on you. The neckline is flattering and you can add a belt to cinch it in. I also like the green/white dress on you more than the 2 white ones.
Can sympathise I broke my right arm falling backwards in my poly tunnel 🌻 bone broth the best thing for a break to heal 🐝 great Vlog take care or take more water with it 😹
Hi Josie, I hope this is helpful as you've helped me over the years and I've never commented. I had a metatarsal injury on one foot and planter fasciitis on the other (spelling may be way off). The podiatrist recommended rest so cycling etc for exercise, limited walking, not walking on sand and two shoe brands. I already had the Hoka Bondi's but never thought I would wear Birkenstocks. The Birkenstock Arizona are brilliant. I will never be without them again. I did take some time to heal because I wouldn't stay off my feet so more rest would have been better. Also be very careful around small pathway stones. I found stepping on one a few months back re-injured my metatarsal. Hope you are healed soon
Def go get your foot checked. You won’t want to hear this but you really shouldn’t be doing Pilates or any workouts etc w an injury like that. I was told by my physio I could only go for short walks in v supportive trainers when I broke my toe. You could be causing more damage that you’ll regret down the road. The metatarsal bones take ages to heal and may require surgery. It’s so impt you get your foot xrayed.
Beetroot risotto is one of my favourite recipes to cook and in mine I add goats cheese for tang, so there is no need for lemon. The chicken bone broth pasta looked delicious!
I use leggings pocket for the phone, I won’t buy a legging without one. Otherwise, I have a bag of some sort. We’re 3 weeks into our 90-100 temps, can’t wait for fall! I completely rested my foot for about a couple of weeks, iced, wore a brace & then a medical boot for another 6 weeks after a foot injury. Also used crutches in the beginning. The garden still looks beautiful--especially the lavenders. Dead heading roses is relaxing for me :). Wish I could grow veggies! Love the wicker serve wares & yellow dress on you!!! Hope your foot will be better soon!
Josie, I wonder if your Barefoot shoes are the cause of your fractured foot bone? I can't wear shoes that don't offer enough support. I've also fractured that foot bone with impact in sports and I have to ensure I wear sports shoes with stability to prevent that from happening again.
I do find it sad with people in general these days, who cannot be parted from their phones for even a small window of time....like when gardening. I see people and it seems as though the phone has become a third hand or something. Try it Josie, leave the phone in the house, be "present" with your garden. If a plant needs photographing you can always go back in for it:).
I totally agree. When we do Forest bathing or going barefoot in the grass the whole point of it is to detach ourselves from the electronic devices and Wi-Fi energy.🏡🇨🇦
I completely agree. Whenever we go swimming in our pool or out in the yard we keep our phones in the house. A little detachment is better for our wellbeing’s. Plus it makes for being far more present in general. No phones are allowed at meal times either.
@jennifer6833 Love this ! Nothing worse than someone who won't put their phone away during dinner...especially when you're eating out and everyone seems fixated on taking photos of their food for Instagram
Josie, do you add nutmeg with the cream? I was always taught to do that. Your lashes and brows look amazing, i tried to have both done, and sadly, I was given a serum to use.i use to have long lashes and neither came back after chemotherapy. I like the white dress with a belt. Send the pink one back, it doesn't look right. I think you should see a podiatrist for your foot, you don't want it to heal incorrectly. I spent early this am dead heading roses, you inspired me to get out and get it done😅
Love your pink room Josie but brown dressing gowns really do not complete the look. Have a review of this vlog and see what you think when you show the room! LOVE the extention lead, will def get some. Well done Charlie wish I'd have found them ages ago. X🤗
Josie thank you for your vlog, I love your garden, I was wondering if you have noticed a decline in the insect and bee population this year. It’s very worrying
Kohlrabi used to be my favorite vegetable (grandma's recipe). I'm actually looking forward to fall - these hot +30 degrees summer days don't feel the same they used to... 🥵🙈
Josie you should take a look at the next pretty blouses this year and in sale flowers 🌺 you will love them xx love this vlog so relaxing 😎, that’s my favourite one the last green one 👌
Hi .any tips for the angels fishing rod .i bought a small plant about 4 years ago .its in mostly gravel bed ..thickerning up .but no flowers .i was told it has to be 4 years and over to flower .mine should be pink ..thank u for shareing ❤
Hope your foot is better maybe try Martin and Pleasance arnica cream. The pasta dishes sound good. Maybe a cookbook is on order of all these great recipes you have tweaked by you and Charlie ;) great flower press look forward to seeing the enormous print you do with that. The hat looks great :) I agree with you on the dress styles and change of design. The shirt dress was the favourite as I like the style of the yellow but I don't look good as you do in that colour. I actually like also the green one too for the fact it is a wrap dress. Have you ever done pickling of beets and daikon worth a try :)
I can’t believe how lush and full the border garden has gotten in just few months. So pretty ❤❤

Definitely go to a doctor - I fractured the 3rd metatarsal and had a boot to help manage recovery but didn't wear it all the time and it healed wonky
I agree. Why haven't you seen a doctor? Who strapped your foot up? Sometimes we can do more damage with the wrong bandage

Point is solid but to a vlogger? 😂
This is literally her job lol.
I believe the “radishes” are actually chiogga beets shaved on a mandolin.
Happy day. 100 here today!
West Coast 🇺🇸...100's here too! 😳
90’s here in New Hampshire! 🇺🇸
Josie! I wanna try that breakfast you were holding! It looks so tasty!!!
Love the green wrap dress
Josie thank you for your vlog, I love your garden, I was wondering if you have noticed a decline in the insect and bee population this year. It’s very worrying
Kohlrabi used to be my favorite vegetable (grandma's recipe).
I'm actually looking forward to fall - these hot +30 degrees summer days don't feel the same they used to... 🥵🙈
38:29 Just curious about the skylights, is it an attic or old rooms? I think your house is very nice, and with a lot of history!💚🥰
Josie you should take a look at the next pretty blouses this year and in sale flowers 🌺 you will love them xx love this vlog so relaxing 😎, that’s my favourite one the last green one 👌
Josie, I think the pink dress would be much better if you sized down. Not crazy about the green print dress.
Lovely vlog as usual. Are you still taking your nutrition course Josie?
M'am, the issue with your try on hauls is that I'll gush and gasp over the fits on you yet if I was to get them, I'd look dreadful. Lol. Goodness :D
