Castel Gandofo

Castel Gandolfo is just a few kilometers from Rome and is part of the region known as "Castelli Romani". The little town is famous for being the summer residence of the popes. It was especially loved by Pope Benedict XVI, who spent at least 3 months a year in the Papal Palace. It is typical for its restaurants and the presence of the volcanic lake called Lake Albano.
