its compulsory to fill all of them. Well, lower nlus havent been doing great, you can prefer other private colleges over them. If you get a lower nlu, you can always apply for an upgrade or try in vacancies, and also exit the procedure if you wish to

If you can afford 50% higher fees, if you have sports bg and need single occupancy room (you will never get it in NUJS), you should consider NLU Jodhpur. Otherwise, it makes little sense to leave NUJS just because of campus size. I used to think the same but as few of my friends who are studying in Kota told me that traveling will be much more pain in the @ss if I choose NLUJ over NUJS. As I'm from Patna so if I have to travel b/w Patna and Jodhpur in case of an emergency, it will be almost impossible to get a confirmed train ticket and no direct flights are there, I'll have to go to Delhi. On the other hand Kolkata is much more accessible as even in worst case scenario, Road transport will be an option. Also NUJS will allow you to get better internship opportunities as Calcutta High Court will be in the same city. Btw where are you from?

You can choose any college... Like if you get AIR 50 or any double digit rank.. NLS milna almost sure hota hai but still you can choose the lower NLU whichever is closer to your house

Placements are generally a concern there. It happens, but not as much as in first 7-8 NLUs.
