In light of your question about the tree cutting mod, I have a suggestion. If I may recommend a mod for your future videos, FTB Ultimine is a great veinminer style mod that lets you hold a hotkey to mine out multiple of the same/similar blocks at once (64 at a time by default), and you can swap between shapeless bulk mining to different shapes like a 3x3 square, long tunnel, cube, etc. It automatically deducts hunger and tool durability based on how many blocks get mined, so it's pretty balanced. Further, you might like that it respects the properties of tools like shears, so you can bulk shear stacks of leaves at once, durability and food permitting.

Skyes, to fix the iron farm. The zombie or husk in this case has to be moving up and down. There needs to be something that shows the husk and then hides the husk for some time so the villagers actually can feel "safe" and then spawn golems. On a side note, use any mods you want! Love your vids.
@@zzzzzzfghfyika no. ive build a Lot of iron farm and thats not the problem he is right. there is another way though if you remove the husk they will spawn an iron golem per 30 second i think, ive build one once and its not as good as the other ones that contains zombies but its good enough.

Personally don't care whether you use the tree cutting mod. It doesn't take away from the awesomeness of your videos, and if someone's complaining that you didn't spend an extra 75 minutes cutting down trees then invite them to spend however many days it takes to make their own videos.
Hi, Skye! Very great video! For the iron golem farm, it's usually best to have a piston push and remove the block on a night/day cycle. Villagers need to sleep to be able to spawn golems, so ideally, you would have the piston active at night using an opaque block and inactive during the day with the block having been pulled back so the villagers can see the zombie. Maybe you've already figured it out! I figured what was the harm in mentioning it. Thank you for all the great content!

hey skyes, i love watching all your videos! i think the issue with the iron farm might be because the iron farm is too close to the villager house. pretty sure that because of how close they are, that technically its one big villager/iron farm. it super sucks...but if you tore down the iron farm and moved it roughly 100 blocks away from the villager house, youll see the golems spawn
I was thinking that it was cuz the villagers there didn’t have jobs. I have a villager breeder close to my iron farm in one of my worlds at it’s still pretty efficient. Most farms I’ve seen usually make it so the villagers have jobs

My mental health is shockingly bad right now, I've been trying to watch this video for 5 hours. I'm laid in bed, not doing anything other than click play and pause ever few minutes. I'm at 51:29, it's been 5 HOURS and I haven't moved or done anything but watch 50 mins of a video 🤦🏻♀️ The holidays really do mess me up but I didn't realise how much. I SH my way through last Christmas and now here I am 02:55am on Christmas Eve just completely zoned out. This Christmas won't be as bad but still the holidays suck. (Sorry needed to feel less crazy. I feel so trapped inside my head, I thought venting would help. Maybe not the best place but it's all I have) Anyway- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)

iron farms work best at night when villagers sleep and change the husk to a normal zombie. the build can be one block above them just needs something they can spawn on with no other spawn points for like 10 blocks. good luck and love your vids

When you were wondering about the enchantment for the hoe it does already exist. It's just the fortune enchantment on the pickaxe. If you have fortune 3 you can get up to 8 carrots and potatoes. Wheat from my experience only gives more seeds, that also counts for beetroot but they are not actually worth mentioning. Right?
Okay, so I couldn’t find any other comment about the iron farm problem, but for an Iron farm to work, you need the farm to be atleast 100 blocks away from another village, which it obviously wasn’t, because the tower was right over there aswell I hope you see this, buddy!
Ok so I spent 99% of my time making auto farm so I’m 90% sure the husk doesn’t scare them plus they need a bed or a job to keep resetting their spawn rates. Most efficiently you would have a normal zombie in a mine cart going around a track to let scare the villagers but leave long enough to let them sleep and have 12 villagers. Note I havnt built one of these in just over a year and a half so watching a video to correct my mistakes from updates or just mistakes would be best 😂 but this info might be somewhat useful so thought I’d share

To fix the iron farm, you're too close to the other villagers. It considers it all one village and so the iron golems are spawning over by the trading villagers instead of on your kill platform. You need to relocate the entire farm further away from everything else
I wouldn't mind if you used the tree feller mod; I'm more interested in seeing what you can do with the world, and minor conveniences like that don't alter the fundamental challenge of the HC worlds.

Use what ever mod you want 😊 The only thing I can think of is that villagers need to have sleept to spawn an iron golem. So they can't always see the husk/zombie, they can't try to sleep then. There is an really simple early game iron farm there they place trapdoors and half slabs infront of the villagers so they don't always see the zombie when they move around so they can sleep :)
Skyes you have a better chance of getting good enchantments when there wooden then you combine the wooden tool with whatever you want And BAM 💥 good stuff 👍
I really liked the tree mod!! Any mod that makes things easier i have no qualms with people using! Its not like chopping trees is particularly exciting anyways :) plus the immediate breaking of the trees is satisfying

The problem you’re having with the iron farm is the fact that it’s not 130 blocks away from the workstations of your other villagers, would love to see a 200 days. Love your videos
Husk don't burn in sun light. If you was worried about Sugar Cane or paper You can use bone meal on it to make it grow faster.. I really like your video they same fun to watch and try. 😊😊
Tree feller 100% all good, I love using it too, tho it breaks villager trading, also for iron golem farms, you need to be 50 blocks from any other "village", love the vids as always, keep it up

I saw an iron golem walking around the trading house while skyes was wondering why an iron golem wouldn’t spawn in the iron farm, maybe thats why

tip for the future of iron farms, you only have to be 12-15 blocks off the ground to not have to worry about them spawning on the ground :)

The only thing I can think of is that villagers need to have sleept to spawn an iron golem. So they can't always see the husk/zombie, they can't try to sleep then. There is an really simple early game iron farm there they place trapdoors and half slabs infront of the villagers so they don't always see the zombie when they move around so they can sleep :)

I really liked the tree mod!! Any mod that makes things easier i have no qualms with people using! Its not like chopping trees is particularly exciting anyways :) plus the immediate breaking of the trees is satisfying

Loved this 100 days! It's kinda ashame that all the farms ended up so scuffed this time as I feel like a lot more could've been done if you had the farms were not causing so many issues

Husk don't burn in sun light. If you was worried about Sugar Cane or paper You can use bone meal on it to make it grow faster.. I really like your video they same fun to watch and try. 😊😊
