I love me some Aalyah ,, her voice is smooth like velvet .. I always feel relaxed sensual and beautiful listening to her songs... with B . . she has a totally different vibe . I think its apples and oranges .. they both would be great .. there was no need to get rid of her if she thought she would be more popular... I think it depends on what music you liked ... the only thing that could create such a powerful need to see her life taken would be pathological jealousy or what you said .. a sacrifice.. we have to wake up and admit there is a ton of ' sacrificing' going on for fame... just look at the grammy's .. there is nothing that goes unnoticed that its the time that they have offered themselves and they are now doing the ' ritual ' '.. I dont know if Aaliyah was into all of that ,,, but she had such a gorgeous sound.. I just prefer her music that is all ,,, I wish people would worship the one true God and leave that other garbage alone,,,, just make it about music and leave the other stuff alone,,,,, you can only see the signs of the end times but that doesn't have much to do with who gets voted,,, vote from your heart .
I remember this, I was in 11th grade. The plane crash always seemed sus to me. 100% planned! Set up! I wouldn’t be surprised if Jay and his wife had something to do with her demise
Beyonce was nowhere near Aaliyahs level before Aaliyah passed, that's part of the reason, we rarely saw them together. She wasn't even a solo act yet. And was still recovering her reputation from putting out the other 2 members of Destiny's Child. Beyonce's star had just begun to rise thanks to the Survivor Album. Aaliyah passed, then a year and a half later she began wearing her hair bone straight like her when Crazy in Love single debuted, then solo album dropped and the rest was history. But she def wasnt poppin like that before she died. Definitely miss Aaliyah 💗
Aaliyah was about to take over. So it's inaccurate to estimate to which extent her success would go, but it's clear that her path was about to take her to greater heights. She had hot music, she was getting her acting career started, she was flourishing. The very limit to what she could accomplish, was ultimately what ended up being where her life was taken from; the sky. Beyonce, in my opinion, works very hard to make mediocre look fabulous. But, she too is creative as hell and unique to a certain extent with her music. Of course at one point in her career it was hard to separate her from being called the black Shakira, but I've never known Aaliyah to be compared to or accused of copying, stealing or mirroring anyone's style or music. I will say, in that regard as well as others, Aaliyah is better than Beyonce, and because she is no longer here it would forever be to that standard by which she will always have that over Bey. I love Aaliyah, I like Beyonce. Both are exceptional in different ways. It just sucks that someone took her life and safety into their own hands, be it a setup or an unexpected tragedy, either way I feel that the person that gave her the pill, should be held accountable also as an accessory if they haven't already or didn't perish on the plane. Literally cut her life short of so much success coming her way. As for this story about her vs Beyonce, it's nonsense. During Aaliyah's climb Beyonce was not even a factor. That's why Bey was interviewing her and not the other way around. What this industry tends to do, is put black artists against each other and only make room for one at a time. Especially with females. It didn't always be like that, multiple artists could flourish long as they had the best music. It wasn't until Whitney Houston, when music execs and labels started pushing this "there can only be one" bullshit. Especially when your fame skyrockets so fast, as Whitney's did. Like Beyoncé's did as well. Aaliyah has been a star since she was a teenager, Age Ain't Nothing But A Number was a successful hit. Her second act came when she got with Timberland and Missy. Pathways to success differ between talents. Bey started in a girl's group, Aaliyah has always been a solo act from the beginning. Aaliyah came before Brandy and Monica and rubbed elbows with Queen Bey in the beginning of her career - that's not only staying power, but it's relevancy. The talented ones know how to reinvent and repackage themselves, while remaining true to their brand. Beyonce and Aaliyah adored each other though, I'm sure of that. Lots of people loved Aaliyah and still do.
Jay Z was crazy, in love, obsessed with Allyah and Beyoncé is obsessed with him, do you think it's a coincidence that the plane crashed like that? Murder
its clear she was sacrificed, and who happened to come up and become the main girl after Aaliyah died?? beyonce! so that means she was sacrificed for beyonce... whether beyonce was in on it or not is unknown though. but all will come to light eventually😓 /.\
I’m of this mind as well. I’d like to believe that Bey was too naive to realize what was happening behind closed doors in 2001; however, in 2023, I’m sure certain bits of information have been made available to her. She may have even stumbled upon information, unintentionally, and now she’s in too deep.
I think without a doubt Beyoncé would’ve been as famous if Aaliyah was still here. And I also believe she was super jealous of Aaliyah, notice in that interview she didn’t congratulate A on her success, it was mentioned in an envious way. I truly believe Aaliyah was sacrificed for Beyoncé’s career, which you notice skyrocketed not long after A’s death.
Well…I grew up when all of this was going down. With my knowledge of so much of the “HOLLYWEIRD” things that go on behind the scenes, I most definitely think that there was shadiness in the mix! I don’t want to say too much 🤫😒

ITS AALIYAH FOR ME💯 ALWAYS HAS BEEN ALWAYS WILL BE & IT CAME SO NATURALLY TOO NOT FORCED OR SWAYED AALIYAH JUST THE ONE PERIOD💯❤️💅🏾💃🏽 ADD MY VOTE, AALIYAH✅
Beyonce was always jealous of the natural and authentic Aaliyah. Aaliyah had such a unique and beautiful face that you just had to have a double look at due to how memorising it was while Beyonce has wide apart eyes, strange smile, children’s blood for clear skin, wrinkles and yellow teeth, average looking at best with makeup that she needs. Aaliyah had long natural hair that was clearly taken care of while beyonce uses blond wigs and weaves to appear to the white masses and hide her baldness. Aaliyah had a natural body that was skinny, toned and well taken cared of whereas Beyonce has a BBL, a tummy tuck that makes her stomach look cemented, liposuction on the thighs, a nose job, lip fillers, drum stick legs and also had a muffin top body before 2003. Aaliyah valued education and was a well spoken woman with a wonderful feminine voice whereas Beyonce was a middle school drop out, has a limited vocabulary of a 5 year old, illiterate, can’t count up to 10 and sounded like a man. Aaliyah had a wide range in her vocals and sounded like an angel whereas Beyonce sounds like a Banshee and has yodel to prove them so called “vocals” of hers. Aaliyah had all the guys having eyes on her including Jay Z while Beyonce had to force people’s eyes on her. Everyone in the black community and outside loves Aaliyah unlike the overrated Beyonce. Beyonce removed Aaliyah because of everything I just listed, when Beyoncé’s gone her legacy will not last, she doesn’t have the timeless appeal that Aaliyah has. Beyonce had to use colorism and a girl group to get her way into the industry, Aaliyah didn’t!!
Its so hard for me to conceive of a staged plane crash. There were other people that died that day. I just can't wrap my mind around it! A beautiful soul was taken that day.
I'm glad that the ex bodyguard of Beyonce and Jay Z...stepped out and told what was really happening, He even explained who Beyonce and Jay Z how they are... Aaliyah's whole team died on that plane crash....

Yes she would’ve. She has that gift like Tina Turner. She’s powerful. She’s a force, vocally powerful, and a hardworking poised classy woman. That’s why she needs to divest from black people, y’all her most haters the most it’s disgusting. She don’t need the black community to make her money. Even destiny child were more successful than Aaliyah when Aaliyah was here. Their albums sold out and tours more than Aaliyah. Y’all delusional 😂. I’m not even a beehive stan or apart of stan culture but Beyonce is on a Tina Turner type level now. Aaliyah would’ve had hits but more r&b but nah. Beyoncé would’ve surpassed her business wise, talent wise, and album sales. Nobody sacrificed Aaliyah or sold her soul. Her death was because of a aircraft issue and no illumanti killed this girl. Y’all should stop these nasty hateful comments and accusations. They didn’t sell their souls. Beyoncé is where she is because her work ethic, her parents also protected her more than Aaliyah parents did, and she had a great team. However, she has the talent.
Beyoncé was tacky in a tacky group. They could sing but they were not stars like Aaliyah who iconic from day 1. Nobody was checking for her before she went solo but Aaliyah name was highlighted wherever she was. And other communities don’t all like Beyoncé either, they tolerate her because she want them to like her so bad. She don’t know if she wanna be love in hip hop Beyoncé or Taylor Swift Beyoncé. Atleast was herself everywhere. 😗
Beyonce IS OVERRATED....Aaliyah deserves that award not Beyonce you know why?...........Beyonce is NOT R&B and hasn't been since her 1st solo album....Aaliyah was NOTHING BUT R&B how is there ANY contest make it make sense😅

It's about getting our Souls right because this Earth passes away at the end of the day🙏🏾
Pitting these two iconic black women against each other is the most exhausting topic I've ever had the displeasure of seeing constantly & it's fed into by fellow black people smh. They have completely different styles, so trying to say on was better than the other or that one would have made it further ahead based on performance styles, makes 0 sense. They BOTH had/have incredible work ethic. Aaliyah is still discussed & influencing new artist 23 yrs after her death.... that speaks VOLUMES about her impact. Bey would still be Bey. There's room for more than one black woman to become superstars & this crabs in a barrel mentality some black people have needs to stop.

I will have to check this out. The holding the child part, are you making reference to Aaliyah being carried on the plane? If Beyonce was making reference to Aaliyah's death, that is pretty dark!

Beyoncé would have probably tried to steal a bit of Aaliyah's vibes, cause eventhough she can sing, that's what she does. Hope Aaliyah enters the R'n'B hall of fame.
Here’s why the comparisons remain, and why Babygirl’s fan base remains firm: If you compare a 2001 Aaliyah and a 2001 Beyoncé, you’ll see how much more mature Aaliyah was in her career than Bey. Aaliyah was already a classically trained dancer, classically trained vocalist, 4.0 magnet hs graduate, with 2 movie rolls under her belt. Beyoncé, not a classically trained dancer or singer (her vocal training was private), homeschooled, with 1 movie roll under her belt. So comparing them at that moment in time, it’s easy to see why Aaliyah fans would say she’s “better”. Aaliyah also had a “sweet but street” appeal, which fans and critics loved. Beyoncé, again - during the time, was very pop, Christian girl next door, no cussing, good-girl vibe. Two very different talents; two very different women. Moving forward, Beyoncé would continue to attend private vocal and dance intensives to step up her game. Her work ethic shouldn’t be denied. She got that movie role in 2001, the same year Babygirl passed away, which I’ve always found interesting. Whether anyone wants to admit, her passing surely made way Bey. The theories behind her death are compelling and numerous. I just hope she’s resting well.
Beyonce was a sloppy performer back in the day. Also, Beyonce been alive and got to work on her craft. It's very clear Aaliyah was a beast and only needed time to be alive and also work on her craft too. Aaliyah was more likeable, relatable and just seemed very cool. Beyonce literally does not like anyone who competes with her. She has a dark spirit
And she acts like she’s a God Also Did anybody notice that like two years ago beyonce posted a picture of her getting on a helicopter the same day as Aaliyah’s death anniversary. I liked Beyoncé before she married Jay z. She wasn’t so full of herself, maybe? She just use to make music and was attractive. Similar to Aaliyah. I think Aaliyah curved him cause she was independent and had her own star power, potentially more notable than both at the time. But they got together and blew up. 😐 Aaliyah already had successful movies, albums, and respect, so she didn’t need a dude to prosper. She was growing like a female MJ, Prince, and Chris Brown to me. She had her own empire. She had style and was making unique hits. I think she would be a megastar if things worked out.
Beyonce gonna do all kinds of witchcraft if she loses to a dead woman on the Hall of Fame award. She might even channel Aaliyah on her next studio album 🥴😂
I think that there is something with Beyonce and Jay however we just don’t know. Aaliyah can dance and perform she never had a chance to level up herself like Beyonce did and so for people to say her stage performance was no where near Beyonces is just wild. She never had a chance duhhhhhh. Beyonce was not always this great she went from ok to good to great if that’s what y’all want to hear. Beyonce needs to fall. Aaliyah doesn't deserve what Beyonce did. Beyonce will get karma and her hold lifestyle will fall. We good people need to stop listening to Beyonce music because it can be hypnosis. Karma is coming for you Beyonce. If Jay-Z cheated on her it was probably he was thinking about Aaliyah.
Aaliyah was only getting better and better. She definitely would have gave Beyonce that work. Beyonce still would have had a lot of success but not quite as much had Aaliyah not passed. Y'all put some respect on Aaliyah name.
Aaliyah looked a little tipsy on the pics with Jay at that party. Jay couldn't keep his hands off of her from the pictures taken. You can't keep doing dirt, one day it will fall on your head.
Her face is so pretty, Beyoncé is beautiful butt but I think aaliah has way way prettier facial features that’s probably why Beyoncé was so jealous of her. Aaliya already looked pretty and beautiful without even trying
Well, you already said it, Aaliyah was plan (A), and beyonce was plan (B). Their can only be 1 queen. And beyonce could not compete with this multi talented artist. She accomplished everything beyonce struggles with today effortlessly. I can see plan B becoming super jealous over time. Hating she had to be in a group in order to sell while this lovely lady whent double platinum solo. She envy this woman. I'm sure once Aaliyah was off the scene, it inspired her solo career. Their was no more competition. And yall heard Keri Hilson plan B hates the idea of competition. Going hard to sabotage ones career, cause she wants to believe she's the best when we know thats simply not true. Her money keep her relevant not her talent. Just gone say this. If that plane landed safely, their would not be a beyonce today straight up.
Beyonce was still in D child back when Aaliyah passed and she wasn't even thought of as a solo artist then.. Brandy .. Monica .. and Aaliyah were the most popin solo artists then while Beyonce wasn't solo till two years after Aaliyah passed and she wasn't even with Jay-z.. So what if Jay- z wanted Aaliyah.. because Beyonce wasn't thinking about Jay -z then.. till a year after the fact when he put the group D child in his music video.... So it don't make sense... Plus Beyonce still was gonna become Beyonce no matter what !!
They're both okay for me. I was already alive when Aaliyah's career skyrocket and Beyoncé started with Destiny's Child. Both very talented, but Aaliyah, in my opinion, will always be way more effortlessly cool and beautiful. She doesn't even have to try. 🖤

Beyoncé will NEVER be the Beyoncé they meticulously built and pushed to fame if Aaliyah was still around. People LOOOVED Aaliyah genuinely while Aaliyah was effortlessly down-to-earth, beautiful, and cool. The cool girl we all wanted to be, honestly. Not a Beyoncé hater at all. Have just been a little weirded out through the decades with all the frenzy on Beyoncé everything. 🤷🏻♀️
I don't think there's a comparison between yhe two and there shouldn't be. I think their music is different, and Aaliyah was also becoming quite the actress. Had she lived, I think their careers would be different. Aaliyah would be acting more and her music more R&B/Hip-Hop with some experimental things (like Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monet and/or Dawn Richard.) I think Beyonce would still be very successful, and her music more Pop/R&B with some Hip-Hop (like her earlier and DC stuff) limited acting and some entrepreneurship. I remember people comparing Aaliyah to Janet, which I still don't like. I feel like that is something that is done more often with women and even more with Black women...because Lord knows we can't have more than one. There's a place Aaliyah, and Bey, and Kelly, and Ciara, and Janet, Brandy, Monica, Mya, Kerri, Rihanna and everyone else.

I wish Aaliyah was alive the wannabes would still be trying to catch up to her.
Bruh, Beyoncé was ALREADY a big artist by the time Aaliyah was big 😂😂😂😂😂
Y’all will say anything.
@@bperez8656u sound stupid Aaliyah was already big before Beyonce dummy
You're absolutely right. Aaliyah's death never felt like an accident. I think that's why many refuse to talk on that. She's so missed.
you can't call beyoncé's music mediocre. this is too much.

I’m of this mind as well. I’d like to believe that Bey was too naive to realize what was happening behind closed doors in 2001; however, in 2023, I’m sure certain bits of information have been made available to her. She may have even stumbled upon information, unintentionally, and now she’s in too deep.
I'll always pick Aaliyah over most any other artists back then & even today. She was that beautiful a soul. Sorry Beyonce you dont got it.

She was sedated and carried onto the plane from what the interviews elude to it. Who gave her the pill?

Beyoncé would have probably tried to steal a bit of Aaliyah's vibes, cause eventhough she can sing, that's what she does.
Hope Aaliyah enters the R'n'B hall of fame.
I don't care for Beyonce, and Aliyah is gone. Let her be... Beyonce is here and no one can compare with her. She has earned her place!!!!
Here’s why the comparisons remain, and why Babygirl’s fan base remains firm:
If you compare a 2001 Aaliyah and a 2001 Beyoncé, you’ll see how much more mature Aaliyah was in her career than Bey.
And she acts like she’s a God

I think Aaliyah curved him cause she was independent and had her own star power, potentially more notable than both at the time. But they got together and blew up. 😐 Aaliyah already had successful movies, albums, and respect, so she didn’t need a dude to prosper. She was growing like a female MJ, Prince, and Chris Brown to me. She had her own empire. She had style and was making unique hits. I think she would be a megastar if things worked out.
