I know that this might be jumping the gun a little, but i am pumped to see speedrunners get their hands on this. Games with complex movement mechanics like this always look so cool when someone optimizes the speed
Love the concept of this game, really cool to see and idea I have a few years back properly put into practice. I dunno if you were already planning on adding stamina meters for each hand and foot, but that would be a good addition. I'd say that if you weren't planning it, i'd make modifiers for each hold and body position that would affect these stamina meters so the player really gets a feeling for which body positions are difficult to hold and what moves take a lot of effort. If that is something you would want to go for ofc. I'd love to have a look at the GDD if you are willing to share. I'm a bouldering instructor with a degree in videogame design, so if you would like we can have a look and we can maybe discuss what you have been working on/struggling with.
The climbing physics looks really good, it appears more grounded in reality than some other games. And I like how the rope management is handled, much more interesting than Jusant. I can't help but question that stick clip though lol. I'm sure it was a stylistic choice, but it looks a bit ridiculous when IRL you would telescope it down and mount it vertically. Especially weird in dihedrals such as 20:14
As a climber and game dev I can say I'm excited for this. Looks like they developed some pretty sophisticated climbing mechanics! I wonder how it feels to play myself!

@@sluggibammy they've already had a speed run competition in the demo! Check the community part of the demo's steam page
