After watching a number of studio home tours where people include their cutlery, their shampoo, and other personal items as decor, l had to watch this video AGAIN. It is so great to know that maximalism and eclecticism are alive and thriving. And so is Baguette.
This is so nice to hear. Sometimes I feel very alone on the bland neutral frontier of home decor influencers, but I will fight for color, pattern, and eclectic Maximalism as long as I live!!!! Baguette says thank you too. 🐈
Your apartment is 100% the opposite of my house and I LOVE it 😍😍. And since i lost my cat this week, Baguettes judging and I could'nt care less attitude gave me life 😭❤️

Your apartment is so full of personal style which is how it should be, so cute! As a maximalist myself I also can't stick to just one type of style. I guess that is the beauty of that style you can just have whatever makes you happy. I enjoyed the tour and especially love the shelving unit, the entire kitchen, the matchbook collection, the reference to The Cramps, the fireplace, and everything you did for Baguette. That is the highest compliment you could pay him, so he’ll be very happy to hear it. I feel like I’m always changing what I’m super into, thus my place will always be an eclectic mix.
Okay, I'm a minimalist and on top of that I like everything to be white helps my ADHD. But there is absolutely nothing horrific about your space, it looks beautiful the colors everything looks cozy, inviting, warm, and just lived in. So whoever said that to you needs a hug because they're just lonely😌
Haha. This always means a lot coming from a minimalist. (And it is so interesting how spaces do or don’t stimulate us. It really is all about our brain preference!)

I’m an artist, but I’ll have to say, I’m not sure I’d be able to recreate a space as eccentric as yours. You are very creative, and you don’t seem to be afraid of playing with different textures and colors. The cool thing is, your space is oddly cohesive! My biggest fear is allowing my creative juices to flow free, then screwing up my DIY creation.
Aw, thank you. It’s such an ongoing. process, and I’m always mixing it up. But I’m a big fan of letting yourself go nuts and tweaking from there. Try it all!

So much fun! I have seen people put contact paper on thing and then paint over it to make it the color they want. Target even carries specifically paintable peel and stick wallpaper for walls. Maybe you could paint over your current contact paper to freshen up your bathroom sink cabinet? And thank you so much for highlighting the peel and stick tiles. I live in a rental and HATE the tile in my kitchen - that looks like a really good idea to cover them up.

Your place is so awesome! I must've missed your Washi Tape episode. This is a great video to make viewers go back to watch your old videos. Regarding the Target candleholders I bought a painting at an antique shop and it turned out to be a freaking Pier One piece.

Yesterday I bought a sofa almost identical to yours but it’s a little more orange looking than yours at BOBS FURNITURE. Very different and interesting style you have and it’s not boring. I tend to thrift for always, unusual items too. I definitely like different. I do not follow the crowd.

Super cool tour! Don't you have a built in cabinet for spices? I think I saw it on a previous video and commented on it. You have some really fun quirky stuff - love all of it. I used to collect match book covers and have vintage compacts. My vintage evening bags are hung on my bedroom wall, all thrifted - love them.

I have some really cool evening bags, metal mesh, brass one, beaded, I like vintage/antique and unusual. I have two accordion racks, they hang on, so I can enjoy them.
I haven't figured out a way to display my vintage compacts, there in one of the bags for now.
