The kill points may be similar to ranked where depending upon your current placement you will get more/less points, this may apply to all points earned with wepons.
just found out that the level goes much further than we thought. but u will not get any rewards for the levels past 100, it will just display it on ur badge
Yep, I've seen that as well. I'm guessing they might add rewards later for the additional levels. The 1st person to get to level 100 did it on a charge rifle, lol.
The badge goes on your banner so if you go into your legend banner screen you should be able to find that badge. Once you've complete the respective trials for it of course.
The 1st Weapon badge comes at Level 20. All the ones I've see are at least 20 (normally a bit higher because it can take a few levels to complete the challenges). I've not seen anyone with a Level 1 Badge, but maybe it's a glitch or something.

Yeah that's a good observation. definitely looks like it as they do give weapon xp for placements as well.

It will take just over a full season to fully level up every gun
Depends how much you play, will likely take longer than that for most. Streamers and people that play every day might be able to do it in a season.
