Wow 🤩 After soooo many mini dramas I think this is the best one. Fl was strong all the way to the end never looking back. The bad guys got everything they deserved and their downfall was actually like a slow burn. The writers did a good job with this. I didn't feel it was rushed. Kudos! This is a good drama. If you are looking for romance there isn’t any but she got her revenge where she took all what belong to her back. That family was awful to her except the grandmother. They use her to gain wealth and then treated her like nothing. She got her happy ending at the end. Glad that ex went to jail.
This is a very good “Reborn/Revenge-plot”-story with great actors and a strong revenge-arc. I loved this strong/adamant/smart FL (and the actress) who did everything right the second time around. I would have liked a little more romance (perhaps it was edited out) and subs that made more sense, but other than that, this is definitely well worth watching. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! After 10 years as a doctor, FL resigns on the eve of her receiving an award. Now she will finally be able to marry the man (2ML) and savior she has been planning to. But on her wedding day, he drags her off to the hospital and tells her that he only loves his White Lotus (2FL) and since FL caused her to miscarry his child and 2FL is anemic, FL is to be used as 2FL’s blood bank. Over the next couple of years, FL donates a kidney and parts of her liver, and has her blood drained until her body finally gives up. The last thing she hears is that 2FL wasn’t pregnant back then and the fact that ML saved her might not be the whole truth. FL dies regretting trusting the wrong people and letting herself be mistreated by him, his White Lotus, his mother and sister. Luckily, FL is reborn 2 years earlier at the beginning of her being forced to donate her blood. This time around, FL fights back, starting by exposing their blood types being different and incompatible, making it obvious that her blood couldn’t be used to cure 2FL’s anemia - and start her plans for divorce. But it proves quite difficult to make this oblivious and gullible 2ML realize his mistakes and sign the papers. Well, not spoiling too much, this has a happy ending.

I am a huge fan of Meng Na, she is a very talented actress. I have seen quite a few of her dramas now. Her revenge was bitter sweet, and so powerful on those who treated her like trash and the atrocious things they did to her. I'm so glad the ex-husband and mistress got what they truly deserved. Yah! Meng Na got her happy ending marrying her long lost friend from childhood.

This gets an uptick because the clever FL beats the evildoers for the vast majority of the cdrama - but the supposed ML gets only about 5-10 minutes of screen time. It might be superficial of me, but it's a pity the husband is such a baddie - he's sooo handsome.
Another drama where they made the FL stupid for the ‘love’ of an unworthy man at first. The likelihood of a woman who chose to be a high achiever academically and was at the cusp of reaching greatness in her chosen field, choosing to then leave it all to become a housewife is very unlikely. Then for her to stay in that marriage after discovering on the wedding day that her intended groom didn’t love her and allowing herself to be used as a blood bank for his lover is just adding insult to injury. Then she has to come to a point of dying to come to her senses. It’s like these writers are saying that even though a woman is intelligent she is somehow still a fool when it comes to’love’ and that she would endure any kind of mistreatment/ abuse. PLEASE! Any woman with the FL’s intelligence would have left the minute she was mistreated regardless (but I guess there would be no storyline ). The depiction of the ML was one of the usual double standard mentality, his justification for mistreating his wife was because he saw her hug someone he assumed to be a man, he didn’t even bother to ask any questions, YET it was okay for him to be with the 2FL whilst married to the FL, what an imbecile! And then to have the audacity to think that the FL would forgive the ‘misunderstanding’ and stupidly take his cheating ass back because she ‘loved him and would do anything for him’ is typical misogynistic behaviour. The ML telling the FL that ‘she wasn’t like this before’, when she wouldn’t accept his half assed apology was basically him saying that she wasn’t the doormat that he could treat like crap anymore! Then because his ‘apology’ didn’t produce the response he wanted/expected he threw a tantrum 🙄. The ML ‘s comeuppance was so satisfying, it was great watching the 2FL tell him that she never loved him, was never pregnant and was not going to stay with him now he had lost everything , ML thought that the grass was greener on the green tea’s side only to find out that it was all fake 🤣!!! The swimming pool was knee deep lmao, they could have stood up in it! So ML got life in prison for trying to drown FL in knee deep water, WHAT AN IDIOT 😳🤣! I liked that there was no romance in this drama, just strait forward revenge and a brief but happy ever after.

Very much like Hallmarks Prince-waitress drama. A European prince with vast wealth is going to fall madly in love with a small town waitress that he has nothing in common with. Which often begs the question: "aren't there any small town waitresses in his country that he has nothing in common with that he could fall in love with??". 🤔 Most of these dramas are written by Chinese men and are directed by Chinese men. This is a culture the doesn't value women, it's the same culture that dumps and kill baby girls because they all want sons. Years ago, I saw a documentary where the American adoptive parents took their adopted daughter to visit the park where she was abandon. Also, the flip side of adoption from China are these ungrateful adults who have rejected the adoptive parents who raised them, fed them, paid for them to go to college so they can live a good life in favor of the Chinese bio parents who abandon them in the street. Now the flip side of all these people wanting only sons is: there are not enough women to marry the men. So, when a man wants to get married, he and his family will pay a high bride price. The videos of wedding debacles because the bride and her family decide on the day of the wedding to extort more money from the groom and his family or she won't marry, rival Maury Povich. I think the men who write these sadistic dramas are probably pissed off that they can't afford to buy a bride and these sadistic dramas are their way of venting their frustrations against women.
