James, you cheap-drunk-past-dogwalker-blazing son of a gun! I hadn't even noticed the un err until you mentioned it. The title of the vlog was a bit of a puzzle for me as well because here we spell that sound differently. We're our own worst critics ofc. I totally get that annoying you though, same here when I do, especially when listening to a recording.
I watched part of your first vlog back as well some time ago. I like the James I see these days a lot more than the old one. You're more accessible because of your confidence, self-esteem and your awareness. You can show us things without second-guessing or quitting. This isn't only way better for yourself, your audience appreciates this as well. There was nothing wrong with old James, the one you are now is such a better manifestation of your self. I like this you a lot.
I think one of the trickier parts of staying healthy is remaining in that position. It's not too hard to be motivated for a day or a week, but being that forever is a real battle. Keeping a good perspective and being reasonable with yourself without getting obsessive or slacking is a very fine balance to walk. We do get better at reading ourselves and correcting our path when we appear to be going in a wrong direction. What you say about challenging yourself plays an important role in this I think. Challenges can keep you interested and moving forward. There is a caveat there as well of course. Too much challenge is demotivating and too little challenge is not stimulating enough. A clear sign however is when you get too comfortable, we have talked about this before, that is when you know you have to step up. The real problem with challenge however is that it has an upper limit. At some point we can't run faster, can't jump higher, can't dive deeper. That's is when we have to diversify and change our goals, not vertically but horizontally, pick up another sport or hobby and start over. Finding something that suits you is a challenge in itself. Challenges really are the key aren't they?
Week 40, you could have had a baby in the time you have been doing this vlog. You've lost more than a baby in weight though haha! You can do 13 stone. You talk about maintenance but I don't think you're there yet. You're still moving fast.
Thanks for this week's video, see you next monday! Much love!
