If an Azure datacenter fails, azureapp1 must fail over to a datacenter in the same zone. In the event of a regional failure, azureapp1 must fail over to a different region. In this case, should I choose GRS or GZRS?
Hi English. Thank you for your question. Geo-Zone-Redundant Storage (GZRS) is the appropriate choice. GZRS will provide the redundancy across multiple zones within the same region for datacenter-level resilience and also replicate your data to a secondary region for regional-level resilience. Phillip
GRS intermediate option with failover capabilities in a secondary region. Recommended for backup scenarios. This detail is written when making your choice. Wouldn't GRS selection be enough?
Great info!

@@Learning_Adam Do not think GRS satisfied the requirement. It wanted first Zone redundancy, and then also geo redundancy. So that leaves GZRS.
