You offer so many gems in this video. The use of public RUclips video as well as non-public videos I can produce and incorporate into Google Forms is very helpful. Thank you so much.
I'm so glad! I have some new stuff coming out very soon. It might be worth signing up to the newsletter on my website www.teachertrainingvideos.com/sign-up. Hope
HI Russell, this is so helpful for our teachers creating GCSE revision activities this term, I have shared it with them in our professional group for Food and Nutrition Teachers. All the best
Really glad that my videos are helpful. I have some new stuff coming out very soon. It might be worth signing up to the newsletter on my website www.teachertrainingvideos.com/sign-up.
For a teacher beginning on Zoom, I would appreciate it if you would go through the section on making your own video on you tube into its own separate presentation a bit slower. I did in fact subscribe to the channel, and have gained a lot from your videos.
Thank you for sharing this. One question, how many questions can we include in a quiz in google forms? Because I tried to create a placement test of 100 questions and it got stuck. I can't change it or edit it. Also, how can we copy the same questions or part of the questions into another form-Quiz?
Hi Russel, I am trying to figure out how to use google docs and google forms in my math class. It would be awesome to be able to create weekly assessments using google forms. However, I’m not a fan of multiple choice questions. How would students be able to submit short answers/paragraphs to answer a math question using google forms?
That would be hard. Students would have to be very exact in their answers. I am not sure Google Forms is the right tool. I know what you mean about MC but often we have limited choices and for formative assessment it is useful though not perfect.
Hey Russell great videos mate. One question for you. Ive made an observation video on google forms with questions but how do you stop the students from just playing the video again to answer the questions. Ive tried looking to delete or hide it but cannot find anything. Thanks Bill
You can really only control that by getting the students to sign in and that way they can only answer the questions once. It is hard to limit them to only watching a RUclips video once, there are too many ways around that. Google Forms is best for formative assessment where you don't mind how often they play the video.
Hi Robert. I don't believe it is possible to do that. You might have a situation where the person taking the quiz does not know the correct answer. If it were multiple choice, however, one of the answers would be correct. You tell the quiz what the correct answer with the feedback if the answer given is wrong. All my tutorials on using this tool: ruclips.net/user/crete1987search?query=Google+Forms
Hi Munara. That should be possible in Google Forms. Check out this other video I made on using the tool here: www.teachertrainingvideos.com/google_tools_for_educators/getting_feedback_from_students_trainees
hi, how can I put quizzes on my google website with a limited time but because I want it as a practice I'd like to allow my students to do it many times to for example practice new vocabulary by doing a quiz as many times as they want but I'd like to have the link of the quiz to be seen and be accessible on Google website. thanks
Thanks russell but do you know if anyone has uploaded a video like this showing all off Google drive and Google docs ,Google sheets ,Google slides,Google forms and all the add ons explained ,I know this would take a lot of time though thanks again
Not specifically about Google Classroom. I do lots about using Google Tools. I mostly work with Moodle and Edmodo for VLEs. www.teachertrainingvideos.com/google-tools-for-educators
I had released scores after making my comments on the jpg or pdf uploaded by the students through Gmail hoping they will be learning from the highlighted text comments but students are unable to open that image from the mail received after score released. Searched a lot what is the issue in it. But till now don't know how to fix this. I need that through mail when I release scores I could attach directly the documents submitted by them through the quiz form should be replaced by the edited one which has my text comments on it and they can download and learn by viewing it in their device itself. I need to learn the steps how to make this possible. Hello sir, I came across your expertise solutions provided for the teachers help...hoping you could share the suggestions to me...
You can search for a RUclips video or enter a URL. The URL option works on Vimeo and some other video hosting sites. Strange that it is not working for you.
Hi Anshu. The video in the tutorial is one I got from RUclips. It is easier to add RUclips videos because of the existing link between Google and RUclips. You could make your own videos when a screen capture tool. But I'm not sure if that is what you want to do.
Great suggestions! Thanks, Russell!
My pleasure! More on Google Forms here:ruclips.net/p/PLqYj2sOxDkVzNltPiFSBCzgnC2Gtzj5o4

Thank you for your creative ideas. Are Google forms compatible with other screencast software?
Hi, yes they are. You need to upload the videos into RUclips.
Thanks again for your ideas on creating google forms. Have you got ideas for testing vocabulary in Google Forms? That would interest me.
That is an idea for the future. I might do that. Look at quizlet on my website.

Joanna, I am not sure of the max. No you can't copy questions across but you can copy whole quizzes.
By the way, what is the green flag looking icon for under responses - right upper corner?
I have no idea, I will keep my eye out next time I am using Google Forms...sorry I can't help
how did you get bar chart results. I get pie diagrams and would prefer bar charts. nice vid yet again. A massive fan of yours.
It depends on the questions you ask. Different charts for different question types

Thanks I am just making the 1st quizz on the go ... I hope the question I wrongly finalised (done button) with only one option can be erased or edited
You can delete any question. It is always an option.

Hi, thanks for the video. Is it possible to create a quiz that only moves to the next question if you get the answer correct?

How can I italisize, underline or make some words bold?
Hi Munara. That should be possible in Google Forms. Check out this other video I made on using the tool here: www.teachertrainingvideos.com/google_tools_for_educators/getting_feedback_from_students_trainees

Sara, I don't think there is a time limit on Google Quizzes..Sorry for delay in replying but been crazy busy recently.
Thanks russell but do you know if anyone has uploaded a video like this showing all off Google drive and Google docs ,Google sheets ,Google slides,Google forms and all the add ons explained ,I know this would take a lot of time though thanks again
Ian, there is quite a lot of stuff on my website www.teachertrainingvideos.com click on the Google Section.
@@ttvRussell will do thanks for that , appreciated
Do you have videos on Google classroom and using Google forms there
Not specifically about Google Classroom. I do lots about using Google Tools. I mostly work with Moodle and Edmodo for VLEs. www.teachertrainingvideos.com/google-tools-for-educators

I came across your expertise solutions provided for the teachers help...hoping you could share the suggestions to me...
Komal, sorry I can't follow this. This is how I would give feedback
www.teachertrainingvideos.com/advanced_ideas
what screen recorder you used?
I use Camtasia. Lots of free help videos here www.teachertrainingvideos.com/Camtasia_Training
Cannot find the video that I want to upload. Tried search and URL and will not find!! ??
You can search for a RUclips video or enter a URL. The URL option works on Vimeo and some other video hosting sites. Strange that it is not working for you.
Also, can student make corrections when they see that an answer is wrong ? If so, it’s a worksheet, not a quiz.
Thanks
I can't really follow you comment but if I understand correctly the answer is no. Students can't correct their answers.
how i take live quiz in google meet
Just share the link to the quiz in the chat window.
How can I make a fill in the blanks text in google classroom?
Use Google Forms, it should be part of Google Classroom.
@@ttvRussell do u have a video explaining how to do it?
Did I miss auto correct. How or when did you create it?
When you put the answers in and set as quiz, it auto corrects the students quiz...you don't need to do anything. Students get immediate feedback.
@@ttvRussell thank you so much.
Didn't understand how to create my own video
Hi Anshu. The video in the tutorial is one I got from RUclips. It is easier to add RUclips videos because of the existing link between Google and RUclips. You could make your own videos when a screen capture tool. But I'm not sure if that is what you want to do.
This is really interesting to generate test but I want to know how can we stop student/s cheating in the test?
That is really hard. I wouldn't use Google Forms for anything formal. I only use Google Forms for formative assessment
I'm sorry. I seem to be the only stupid one here. I opened google doc but couldnt see the settings button to create a quiz. Ooops
Ok sorted. had to look on google form
Yes Jean, it is google forms..well done.
Aguo
Thanks
