Goku Black vs Reverse-Flash gets one thing right about two villains fighting: they get to cut loose. Ganondorf vs Dracula, Heihachi vs Geese, Joker vs Sweet Tooth, Ultron vs Sigma, & Sephiroth vs Vergil are fights filled with personality, which matters just as much as their powers/abilities.
“To stand atop all things and look down at creation itself, that is the work of a god! Empty threats to a living paradox!” Thawne vs Black was so amazing one of my favorites of the season for sure.
As a massive Goku Black fan, I am so happy he *and* Thawne had such an amazing episode. Despite the questionable pre fight analysis at some parts, the jokes were mostly good, the animation was stellar from start to finish, the voice acting was incredible, Reverse Rosé is an amazing track and is easily one of the best Death Battle tracks, and to top it all off, a death that can easily compete with Shredder vs Silver Samurai and even fucking Hulk vs Doomsday. An outstanding episode, easily one of the highlights of the season if not the entire series.
I completely agree. I kinda knew that GB would lose going in, but I was hoping for a decent analysis, good fight, good death, good track, and a decent reason why he lost. And I got all of those and so much more. When I watched it for the first time, I gave it a 7/10. A 7/10, because I was slightly biased towards Black losing. But listening to the track, rewatching the fight, it’s a freaking masterpiece! And the death…OMG THE DEATH BRO! That might be one of my favorite deaths in the entire show! And there are some great competitors like Silver Vs Shredder, Jack Vs Afro, Hulk Vs DD, Sabrewulf vs Jon, it’s so freaking gruesome! Black’s analysis didn’t even bother me that much! Probably my favorite of the season, despite Black losing! Old me would not like my opinions nowadays! Lol For me, it is a 10/10. Freaking stellar.
For me the battles are ranked as follows for the review: Kirby vs Majin Buu: 8/10 Dan Hibiki vs Hercule Satan: 10/10 Roshi vs Jiraiya: 8/10 Beerus vs Sailor Galaxia: 9/10 Goku Black vs Reverse Flash: 9/10 And how ironic all of these battles are much better in terms of quality, analysis, and animation compared to the ones that the main character of Dragonball has been in.
Plus, I find Black’s death very ironic! He boasts and brags about his beauty yet in the end, all he becomes is a half erased corpse with the hideous skull and guts to check it all off!
Is it me or was Goku Black VS Reverse Flash way more insane, destructive, mind-bending and over the top than Flash VS Sonic? I feel like this episode was everything I hoped that episode would be EDIT: Cmon Nemesis, give the episode a 10/10. You know you want to
You're not wrong, but I also feel that it had the advantage of featuring two villains who don't care how badly they hurt people or the destructive consequences of their actions. Flash and Sonic wouldn't actively go all out with their insane powers unless absolutely necessary.
@@MasuxAnderson I agree with that point but you can show their speed in other ways. Maybe have them fighting through different zones at blinding speeds before having the final confrontation be in the speed force where they can both just go nuts. Only this time the Flash will be fighting someone who can actually keep up.
Remember when you were watching the episode for the first time and you felt joy when you saw Reverse Flashes smug face before killing Goku Black? It was me Nemesis, I drew that face with the same level of smug so it could become a MEME! All so I can see you give the fight a 9/10 In all seriousness, happy my parts came out the way they did, really one of the best fights of the season and it's the one where I and one of my original characters die horribly.
@@nemesisbloodryche22 This guy is actually the storyboard artist for this season. Most of the hand-drawn segments from Shadow vs Ryuko, Batman vs Iron Man, and of course Goku Black vs Reverse-Flash are done by him and they are fantastic.
To add even more brutality to the death, Black was still in Rose, meaning he was both alive for the entire time he was ripped to shreds, and when he was thrown into the sun. I love this episode.
Reverse Flash is the most fun character in season 8 man. His analysis was great and his smugness and trollish antics made the fight so enjoyable. He had some excellent lines and gave us a very satisfying Death that wasn't just "Incineration/Obliteration".
Honestly, Goku Black vs R. Flash made the Quicksilver vs Flash Death Battle even better when you take into account that the “abrupt ending” and the stupidity of quicksilver getting stabbed on the statue and making it amazing when you make it where Reverse Flash actually ruined the fight for Flash (like most other things in his life).
Fun Fact: This episode was not initially planned. Matthew Jones(AKA Ultra Guy) suggested the fight since there was one episode left to fill out the season
Couldn't have said it any better. There's just something about this episode, man. The charisma, the antics, the passion, it's all there. Such a fun time.
Kirby vs Majin Buu was what brought me back into Death Battle when I got older (cause younger me only saw a few season 1 episodes and stopped at Pikachu vs Blanka since...well Younger me thought that the matchup was shit) so it holds a special place in my heart (doesn’t mean I give it an automatic 10/10, there’s a bunch of problems even past me knew but regardless, it’s why I am even a fan of Death Battle and this channel to begin with)
Same, but it stopped being my favorite for a while. (Currently, it's Goku Black vs Reverse Flash.) The way Kirby is portrayed and Buu's transformations kind of bother me.
Gotta agree with ya on Pikachu vs Blanka, it was so stupid and had very few connections. Honestly I wish it was Ash and Pikachu vs Zatch / Gash and Kiyomaro. It would be such a more fitting fight especially since they were both technically younger anime fighters who use lightning and speed and have a incredible partner relationship. True Gash would stomp but it would still be better than Blanka
The problem i keep seeing people brought up with Kirby vs Buu is why didn't Super Buu show up instead of Kid Buu? Well to be honest to have Super Buu show up you would have to force specific circumstances in the fight to happen. Super Buu was formed as a result of the Good Buu being absorbed after the Evil one overpowered him and him into a cookie. Not to mention Super Buu is a different Majin altogether compared to Kid Buu who is technically the weakest of all the Majin Buus. If Super Buu showed up I think the fight would've gone in a different direction and the outcome would've changed.
@@digitaltailsmon4096 Coupled with the fact that younger me didn’t know who the hell Blanka was since...well I barely played many fighting games as a kid. I usually skipped through the analysis and watched the fight, and the fact Younger me knew it was a stomp and absolutely dumb matchup says it all (especially since younger me was a fucking idiot).
That's what I like when villains appear on Death Battle, since they don't have problems killing anyone, the way they can kill their opponents are limitless.
Isn’t the logic of Death Battle fights that it’s a simulation of what is likely to happen? Meaning you can have heroes kill in interesting ways since it’s a simulation?
@@FraserSouris Yeah, but most of the the time they don't make heroes more violent than they really are (with some exeptions like Green Lantern or Machamp) I don't see Barry Allen or Wally West killing their oponents the same way Eobard did in this episode.
"Remember when you were drinking tea with Gowasu, and he tasted a hint of piss in his drink and- *It was me Black!* I pissed in Gowasu's cup at super speed to make it seem like you had a thing for having the Supreme Kai drink your bodily fluids!" All in all this is by far my favorite battle this season
To defend the Goku Black analysis a bit because I have heard complaints concerning the length compared to Thawne's. First, Thawne's is longer because he has been around for more than one arc and has much, much, more abilities and stuff to scale and cover. Second, Goku Black overall feats are for the most part pretty standard for Dragonball due to them being pretty much the same with very little variation. The only true scaling being the Goku vs Beerus clash is still really the only thing that stands out in terms of actual feats beside "I can beat this one character." Not to mention that his more out their abilities are from a fusion, which requires outside help. But yeah it would have been nicer had they included the Goku VS Beerus feat near the middle of the analysis to help out the pacing.
I was so glad that this episode was very good. Reverse flash is one of my favorite villains of all time and seeing him in a fantastic episode really makes me happy.
I'm so happy that Goku Black vs Reverse Flash was such a banger episode, and it easily makes it into my top 20 best db episodes. The characterization was on point and the track just might be my favorite of this season. This episode captures what I love most about db. Looking forward to more of this season.
My biggest problem is they give Goku Black the same paradox thing as Reverse Flash despite that not being a thing for him. The way time travel works is that it creates a new timeline whenever a future character interacts with a past version of the character. The only thing they needed to change was saying the Time Ring could enter the rifts Reverse Flash creates when time travel, since that’s a real thing the ring can do.
Yay. The review is back. This was definetly one of the best Dragon Ball And DC Death Battles ever. This is what I’ve wanted for Ben vs Hal and Wally vs Sonic (though I still love that episode as well and it definetly came close): a fight through the time stream itself!
it would show GB had his ki defenses up but RF whittled away at it bit by bit until there was nothing left. I still flinch when I remember that while flying the air still blows though a Ki users hair and clothes despite being in a ki sphere. That only adds to the horror of GB's death.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this episode as much as I did. This episode was a genuine surprise treat for me. One of the best fights and conveyances of power and speed in the entire series.
After this video, I do not want to hear anyone saying that Nemesis Bloodryche is a "Death Battle hater", because this video right here proved with every way imaginable that he is not.
This is by far my favorite Death Battle episode period even over Dio v Alucard it’s just...amazing. No episode has ever made me laugh so hard and genuinely stun me at the same time. 10/10 easily my favorite Death Battle and I don’t think anything will ever compare
Remember when your episode got heavily criticized for the abrupt death? It was me Barry, I was the one who placed the statue so that my death would be better, making *ME* the superior episode!!
I dont think this would technically go on the biggest stomps list but it sure does feel like one, mostly because goku black has literally 0 win condition given to him. Like at minimum Thawne was given 1000s of times strength advantage, an infinite? speed advantage, though he has less durability but thats stated to basically be a non factor. Not to mention the dozens of hacks abilities given to Thawne just made it so black had nothing he could do.
Its definitely one of the biggest stomps. But its so much fun! They're perfectly in character, they got the memes involved right, goku black feels powerful, thawn feels fast, the death is the best of the season by a wide margin (fun fact, goku black was still alive before we was thrown into the sun, he was still in rosè) Its just fun a fun episode
@@blitz4779 Kind of disagree death battle implies that Goku black was stronger but reverse flash was so much faster that it didn’t really matter in the end also about Goku black supposedly being alive after his body being dragged I think that’s just an oversight because we have seen Saiyans being knocked out or killed while still being transformed
Probably my personal favorite moment of the fight itself was when Reverse Flash just went “oH SHIT-“ as he dodged the one attack during the section with the multiple Goku Blacks. As for my least favorite, it was definitely Black’s analysis, for a good chunk of it I just kept asking myself when the heck they were actually goin to introduce them.
I would love to see a top 10 voice performances in death battle video. With you yourself being a voice actor, it would be interesting to see more of our perspective
Obligatory comment about me being a sheep so here are my opinions first yada yada Dan vs Hercule - God I love this episode. I don't remember the analysis admittedly but the fight was gold. The fighters being hyped up, hearing their inner thoughts as they are terrified of their opponent (who is still a weakling). Nick as the announcer was perfect, Hecule doing everything to protect his reputation. The satsui no hado which fails miserably, and then the death is the perfect way for a joke fight to end, and anti-climatic, but hilarious wimper that fits Dan so well. Going off the fight alone I'd give it a 10/10, although the analysis might make me change my mind on that. Kirby vs Bu - So I have this weirdly specific memory of watching this fight and my mom yelling for me, but I completely ignored her until the video was done, turns out I was grounded. Don't remember what for, but I also remember opening up my laptop 2 weeks later to Kirby's face on the screen. Aside from that the fight was enjoyable. It was an odd matchup at first. I'm not a big dragon ball fan and at the time I'd watched maybe 3 episodes on Toonami. I really don't have much to say on this episode. I dunno 7-8/10? I can't even really give it a true rating, this is just me waffling on at this point. Jiraya vs Roshi - RIP my boi Jiraya. I really like this episode, another mini story this was the first preview I watched in Death Battle Cast, I remember being confused by the impromptu voice acting they did. Aside from that the analyses was good. Gave a pretty good idea of these characters abilities, backstories and personalities. Nothing particular stands out but it's serviceable. As for the fight, it's good. I like the premise, not sure about Roshi but Jiraya seems pretty in character here. They used a solid amount of abilities from both sides and the big ball rasangan vs the ka me ha me ha was a pretty cool scene, and I kinda wish they just ended it there. The true ending with Jiraya going retard mode and letting himself get hit, and also the jank of him getting snapped in half was disappointing. Not quite good enough for a full 8 but better than a 7 so 7.5/10 Goku Black vs Reverse Flash - Holy fuck I love this episode. Going in my expectations were minimal, especially because I did not do any real research to avoid being spoiled. Honestly I thought this would be DC's first non marvel loss. As it stands I love the analysis. They did an excellent job talking about the characters, especially Reverse Flash, and the editing as per the norm, was amazing. Although I do remember groaning and Boomstick burping and farting at the same time. That was kinda lame. I liked the bit about them really not liking time travel. As for the fight? I like the it was me barry line. It was a little forced but it was at the beginning of the fight so it didn't fuck with the pacing too much. The effect where Black comes in looks phenomenal and from then on it doesn't stop being badass. Thawne using the dude as a shield was funny and the "I'm in need of your services" line got an actual laugh out of me. I liked how Thawne tried going back in time to end the fight early and Black was just like "bet". I wish the "why aren't you dead line" was synced just a little bit better. Going on in the fight seeing them get murked at different stages of the fight was great and I loved the callback to Flash vs Quicksilver where Eobard moved the statue into place, which is exactly the petty bullcrap Thawne would do and it maked the "It was me barry" line actually funny. The death itself was great, even if his face when the ring gets destroyed looks a little bit off. The death where he drags Black around the world so hard it's reveals his skeleton is brutal, and just for the finisher right into the sun, reminds me of Thor vs Raiden. Amazing episode with solid destruction, even of they are stated as universal theuy did blow up the sun, and you do kinda need ground for a speedster. Thawne feels fast too, absolutely blitzing around the projectiles like it's nothing, in fact the only time Thawne ever actually gets hit is him being taken off guard. I could go on and on about how much I love this episode, Thawne just standing there letting Black phase through him after being told to accept his fate had me laughing, again. 10/10 without a doubt.
@@georgecoconut8164 Pretty sure they do and either left that intentionally or they did it because they were lazy. Though it’s best to imagine that they knew and did it on purpose cause that just makes it even more brutal.
Reverse flash is just something else with his pettiness. That guys got real issues. Once he travelled back in time to when barry and his dad played ball and right when barrys dad threw the ball, reverse flash took it before barry could catch it. He did this to rob barry of that moment.
This Battle was everything I wanted and more! Easily my favorite in this Season so far and probably Top 10 overall. And I also agree Goku's Black analysis was very distracting
Something I thought you or Biff would point out was that Black’s hair was still in Rosé after having his skin ground off, meaning this is technically another incineration death. For those unaware, Saiyan hair goes back to base when they go unconscious, but Black’s still being pink means that he only died when he got chucked into the Sun.
I share your glowing opinion of Hercule vs. Dan Hibiki. In addition to everything else you said, it just felt _final_ when Hercule stopped messing around and just kicked the snot out of Dan. A stirring reminder that even the most pathetic fighter in the Dragonball Universe...is still in the Dragonball Universe, and automatically, a force to be reckoned with.
When i saw the time travel massacre scene for the first time, i knew this was gonna be the best episode of the season, perhaps the entire series. 9/10 only had a few seconds of Booster Gold.
Agreed, what an amazing episode that did justice to my 3rd most wanted MU of all time. Easily the best of the season with stellar voice acting and incredible animation. That was just what I needed after how much of a letdown Batman vs Iron Man was, a standout episode thats easily in my top 5 of the show's history that does practically everything right in the animation. Did not think my previous season favorite Link vs Cloud 2 would be topped this soon but here we are.
How good Dan vs Hercule was makes me wish for Reigan (Mob Psycho 100) Vs King (One Punch Man) Reigan being a con man and king being a total fraud, but both fully believing the others lies would make an amazing fight.
For as much as I appreciate the episode itself, Goku Black vs. Reverse Flash is another one that was soured for me simply for knowing the outcome as soon as the episode was announced. I don't have anywhere near the bias for either of these 2 that I do for Batman so I can see myself coming back to this episode every now and again, but while I'm not watching the show purely for the outcome it's still not easy to invest myself in something when I already 100% know the result. I can enjoy the production itself, and in that regard this episode was top notch. (my only real complaint being RF's hand drawn portions looked kinda flat IMO, Black looked pretty good though) But I just can't totally immerse myself in something that has no sense of escalation or climax, though I admit that is by no means the fault of the episode itself. It's purely a result of me knowing as much as I do about these characters. At least I have no fuckin clue what to expect for next time so I'm really hyped. This next one is gonna be wacky as hell and I'm looking forward to it.
I’m not sure if anyone has asked this but while you already said you weren’t comparing the reverse flash vs goku black tracks from Brandon and skye since we have 2 tracks of this matchup from Brandon witch do you prefer?
If Kirby vs Buu was redone with the Good and Evil Buu separation being done properly, I think it'd be cool to have Kirby throw a Friend Heart at Good Buu and cause that half to team up with Kirby to fight the other Buu. Idk I think it'd be cool.
You took the words out of my mouth the last few episodes and seasons felt like they were made for money. But this fight had no feeling like that. It was amazing.
Seriously one of my favorite episodes while I do think the black analysis could have been way better I do think it led nicely into it with stating all of that about Goku and then stating how there was a mortal with powers that Zamasu had only seen a god possess, I kind of took it as a very good detailed reason as to why Zamasu would want to take Goku's body in the first place, reverse flashes analysis was amazing I love boomstick essentially being mind broken from this crap and the fight was awesome the voice acting was top notch and yea that is my favorite Kamehameha of the death battles as well, those two hits from Goku black when he went Rose had so much impact that I was genuinely hype when he did that it's an honest to God 10 out of 10 episode for me
"But can he beat Goku though?" All memes aside, this was a great episode. The dislike bar is surprisingly low (albeit there are always some people complaining about the results.) I don't really have much to complain. Hopefully they can keep up the good work. I don't really care about a wrestler vs a sentient jug of soda, but if they can make a mascot fight entertaining, this might be one too. And yes, Flash would beat Goku in a fight. We don't need to have that discussion here.
@Max Strike2 Honestly yea, as they pointed out in Black vs Zoom, Eobard on his own is unkillable (unless you're another Speedster) and he'd be enough of a petty bastard to go back and kill half of the DBZ cast when they were babies
This DB and the last one have me worried. It feels like for the first combatant they try to hype up ONE thing but then go ALL in on the second combatant. Look at Iron Man's analysis and how they talk about the Dyson Sphere for pretty long, then the segment with the eScape, Virtual Armor, and the Godbster and the epic track playing during it just feeling WAY more hype than them talking about the Hellbat. Then look at GB vs RF, GB it really felt like the hype was directed after the Time Ring was brought up. I get your pacing issue but the way it sounds like you wanted it was "bring up Zamasu's background, then how he switched with Goku, then talk about the stats which are technically just Goku's", but instead they brought up Zamasu's background, how he saw Goku's power (where they put all of Goku's power scaling) and then merged with him. It makes sense that they talk about Goku's stats as soon as he was brought up because he didn't get those stats after/because Zamasu took his body. But back to what I was saying, GB's analysis was lacking, but RF was dripping with character, personality, talking about how petty and cruel he can be, for literally no reason (didn't show feats or anything) other than just gushing about how much of an asshole of a villain he is. I hope they don't go this way for the rest of the season, Macho Man vs Kool-Aid man might be fine, but since it is October I totally bet DIO vs Alucard is after this and I can see them hyping up Alucard more than DIO (who I hope they merge his Parts 1 and 3 powers, I know he never used his part 1 powers in Part 3 but idc).
I wouldn't exactly call Goku Black's loss to Thawne a stomp. They technically couldn't really kill each other since they both can transcend time itself. It's more about finding any exploits within each other and seeing who can captialize on it first. And in this case Black's Time Ring is the exploitable weakness. Destroy the time ring and Thawne can pretty much do what he wants with Black.
@@e1iteyoshi998 he outclasses him in all stats as well as having tons more hax to pull from. The time ring can counter some of those hax but he still gets stomped. They both had ways of coming back, the only difference is one of them literally couldn't put the other down for good.
If I could change on thing about this episode, it would be When goku black headlocks eobard, I'd have Eobard grab his hand, tries to pulls it off, can't, THEN phases out of his grip. Why would I change this? To have a moment when you can look back and figure out the SECOND that Eobard takes the ring
Zamasu being in Goku’s body is a weakness that Vegeta and Vegito pointed out. For starters, Zamasu was never going to be able to use Goku’s body as well as Goku can. However, Zamasu did gain Goku’s natural desire for a challenge. Secondly, and most importantly, Goku is mortal. Zamasu, while relatively weak, was immortal. You couldn’t kill him. So when Zamasu and Goku Black fused, it was an imperfect fusion. So Goku Black was ultimately Goku Black’s downfall.
24:07 True, but imagine if they released a 3D remake in the future, like how they did Boba Fett vs Samus, it would be amazeballs if they were able to translate the entire battle into 3D, but that’s the only change. Everything else stays the same in regards of the animation, just the style and time
Tbh this feels like a good one because of the time it was made. It was a 10th anniversary which is good. 10 years is a long time and everything changes between so its been the best it has in years
Goku Black and Reverse Flash are two characters I have zero connections to but their episode is one of the best I have ever watched. This is probably the second best sprite episode for me after Kirby vs Majin Bu, which also happens to be in this review.
Sad to say that safety harness failed in the end as a Dragon Ball Uber-fan is sending death threats and being "debunked" by a Black fan who does erotic DBS fan animation and a guy who thinks Goku is faster than The Flash. Please make them angrier Nemesis
Goku Balck vs. Reverse Flash was something I felt meh about it, but this episode makes it better and honestly it's on my Top 5 (along with Yoda vs. King Mickey and Po vs. Iron Fist)
The way i see it is that black one shots him but physically cannot hit him due to speed with flash just not being able to hurt him. I still agree that flash wins due to blacks stamina running out eventually
you know even when an episode if perfect, bias always comes in. to me that bias is seeing my favourite anime character (and like a top 5 fictional character of mine) die just hurts me to my core when i see it. i makes it so i just like the episode less . but this is honestly the best episode of the season and in my top 5 overall.
@@Bartre_God Pikachu vs Blanka is kind of an example for me. Not because Pikachu dies cause, well I saw Thor vs a bunch of Pikachus in DBX and It didn’t bother me. What annoys and hurts me the most is that, this matchup literally had no reason to exist, other than Pika abuse. *Pikachu deserved better*
I felt this way with Aang vs Edward Elric and Johnathan Joestar vs Tanjiro. The former because, from what I know anout Aang, he wouldn't murder someone let alone a kid close to their age over something as petty as a bounty and even though it isn't canon, I still feel bad that Al lost his brother and the latter is because it makes no sense for Johnathan to kill Tanjiro and then promise to look after his sister for him. I get it's called "Death Battle" but they should have fughts end with an happy ending like Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie if it fits the characters.

One of my favorite things in the episode was Reverse Flash saying "Why aren't you dead?" slightly faster than Goku Black
Didn't notice that tbh

I just saw the chapters for this, and now I have finally subscribed
Couldn't have said it any better. There's just something about this episode, man. The charisma, the antics, the passion, it's all there. Such a fun time.
The death was sooooooooooooooooo classic death battle.
Easily rekindled my love for this too.
Can't wait for the review for Balrog vs TJ!!!!
Kirby vs Majin Buu was what brought me back into Death Battle when I got older (cause younger me only saw a few season 1 episodes and stopped at Pikachu vs Blanka since...well Younger me thought that the matchup was shit) so it holds a special place in my heart (doesn’t mean I give it an automatic 10/10, there’s a bunch of problems even past me knew but regardless, it’s why I am even a fan of Death Battle and this channel to begin with)
Same man. I loved Kirby vs Buu.

*It was me Black!* I pissed in Gowasu's cup at super speed to make it seem like you had a thing for having the Supreme Kai drink your bodily fluids!"
All in all this is by far my favorite battle this season
I am so impressed with this episode, finally got a battle with immense speed being felt, And destructive capabilities 🎖️
Oh, perfect timing! I literally just searched up to see if you made your video on the battle
This is honestly my favorite episode this season, and it might be my favorite Sprite battle ever
22:13 if sayans revert to base when they die that means black was still alive while the front part of his body was grinded off

it would show GB had his ki defenses up but RF whittled away at it bit by bit until there was nothing left. I still flinch when I remember that while flying the air still blows though a Ki users hair and clothes despite being in a ki sphere. That only adds to the horror of GB's death.
From now on, whenever something happens, I'm blaming Eobard for it.

Fun Fact: the Hammer Ability in Kirby is the most overpowered ability. It’s perfect for boss rushes like the Arena and True Arena
They're perfectly in character, they got the memes involved right, goku black feels powerful, thawn feels fast, the death is the best of the season by a wide margin (fun fact, goku black was still alive before we was thrown into the sun, he was still in rosè)
Its just fun a fun episode
Kinda wish they used black from the manga to even it out just a tiny bit
@@AruAnimations eh, even then the outcome would change. Zoom would still win and black has no way to kill him

That was one of the best deaths tbh
That grind kill. Holy crap.
Goku Black vs Reverse Flash is definitely one of my favourite Death Battle episodes ever
it feels great hearing him praise such a good episode
I love the idea of Nemesis panic yelling at his computer to render the part about biff weed's vid
Actually, Reverse Flash DOES end up escaping the supernova if you look closely
.
they also say he does in the commentary-
I would love to see a top 10 voice performances in death battle video. With you yourself being a voice actor, it would be interesting to see more of our perspective
Obligatory comment about me being a sheep so here are my opinions first yada yada
Dan vs Hercule - God I love this episode.
Not quite good enough for a full 8 but better than a 7 so 7.5/10
Goku Black vs Reverse Flash - Holy fuck I love this episode.
Oooh! I hear Mascot Mayhem in the background!
Fun fact: Saiyans hair color returns back to normal when they die, so black was still alive when thawn used friction to a terrifying degree
Or it's just that death battle didnt know that?
This episode should had been the Season Premiere instead of the disatisfying/underwelming Batman vs Ironman
This is easily my favorite episode of the season and one of my favorite episodes of the entire series
The research and the fight was fantastic this time around!
23:06 finally someone else thinks the way I do, I couldn’t put it into words myself why I love this episode but I thank you for doing it for me!

Ngl i knew this match would be kino, i don't regret requesting it at all
For as much as I appreciate the episode itself, Goku Black vs.
That death was the first time in such a long while in Death Battle where I said "Jesus Christ!"
Seriously one of my favorite episodes while I do think the black analysis could have been way better I do think it led nicely into it with stating all of that about Goku and then stating how there was a mortal with powers that Zamasu had only seen a god possess, I kind of took it as a very good detailed reason as to why Zamasu would want to take Goku's body in the first place, reverse flashes analysis was amazing I love boomstick essentially being mind broken from this crap and the fight was awesome the voice acting was top notch and yea that is my favorite Kamehameha of the death battles as well, those two hits from Goku black when he went Rose had so much impact that I was genuinely hype when he did that it's an honest to God 10 out of 10 episode for me
"But can he beat Goku though?"
All memes aside, this was a great episode.
@Max Strike2 yes, flash, Wally, reverse flash, professor zoom, all will decimate the majority of the DBZ-S verse.
@Max Strike2 Honestly yea, as they pointed out in Black vs Zoom, Eobard on his own is unkillable (unless you're another Speedster) and he'd be enough of a petty bastard to go back and kill half of the DBZ cast when they were babies
I agree that Flash beats Goku. Speed force is just op.
honestly, goku black vs reverse flash had the best battle animation ive seen in a hot minute
I never expected this episode to turn out so good since it was the most obvious stomp but goddamn was I impressed.
@@hammyboy2417 Exactly.
Besides the fight being very easy to guess the winner it eas very fun
I agree with you, when it comes to goku vs Superman round 2, there was no reason for it and hope there won’t be a round 3.
If I could change on thing about this episode, it would be
When goku black headlocks eobard, I'd have Eobard grab his hand, tries to pulls it off, can't, THEN phases out of his grip.
Kirby vs Majin Boo was the first death battle i watched
The word reverse rose sounds perfect for this episode
Goku Black VS Reverse Flash was definitely the best episode of the Season.
24:07 True, but imagine if they released a 3D remake in the future, like how they did Boba Fett vs Samus, it would be amazeballs if they were able to translate the entire battle into 3D, but that’s the only change. Everything else stays the same in regards of the animation, just the style and time
Opinion Incoming: Season 2 and Season 6 were the best seasons of Death Battle
Tbh this feels like a good one because of the time it was made. It was a 10th anniversary which is good. 10 years is a long time and everything changes between so its been the best it has in years
Goku Black and Reverse Flash are two characters I have zero connections to but their episode is one of the best I have ever watched. This is probably the second best sprite episode for me after Kirby vs Majin Bu, which also happens to be in this review.
Even as a db fan i loved this cause of the quality

Despite how much I don’t like the match up I will admit…this episode was fucking epic and deserves every praise it gets
The way i see it is that black one shots him but physically cannot hit him due to speed with flash just not being able to hurt him. I still agree that flash wins due to blacks stamina running out eventually
