@ImACoolRobloxRUclipsr actually he absorbed Ultron once. He gained all his knowledge and intelligence. If I remember correctly, he ended up beating the avengers. Though I could be remembering wrong.
The thing is with absorbing man is that his environment and who he's against massively impacts how strong he can be.
He's only limited with those because he doesn't have a high intelligence. But as Universe-X has shown, Creel's power allows him to encode whatever he absorbs and recall it for later use. It basically works like a computer.

The thing I like about Creel is when they link him with Titania and the evolution of their relationship and love for each other. The feels when she gets cancer and he won't abandon her adds so much to him.

The Scarlet Shepherd I was surprised because in all his cartoon/video game appearances he's on the level of calm Hulk or Thor.

His power levels depends on his foes.
Check out his involvement in Earth X. He absorbed Ultron and gained it's intelligence. Creel realized that he didn't have to come into contact to become anything. All he had to do was think it. He was so powerful that the heroes managed to break him into large pieces and kept the pieces in different parts of the world so he wouldn't come back.
BEEN saying this for decades. I'd love to see him as a legit anti-hero on the road to redemption. I'd have him wear a rhinestone belt with a bunch of different stones all along the belt. After a lengthy discussion, my comic friends and I could not come up with a legit way to imprison him without first negating his powers.
Long suffering Carl Creel fan, here. He has been on the path to "going straight" multiple times & in one way or another he gets knocked off largely because (personal opinion) he would prefer to go straight & not HAVE TO fight all the time even though he is generally fine with fighting & violence, but his ethical center is not firmly grounded, if that makes sense? He'd prefer to be legit but is not difficult to default back to his old school ways.
Combine this with the fact that his on & off girlfriend/wife that he does care about has much less interest in leaving behind crime & supervillainy, she has caused him to relapse on at least one occasion when either she has pressured him to go back or he defended her when she brought the law/heroes down on her,
There was also an angle with Creel where they made him damn near a horror movie villain in a Hulk arc called: :Hide in plain sight", if I recall right? Either of these versions of the Absorbing Man would be welcome & awesome character evolutions for Creel but have been either overtly or passively retconned & didn't stick, alas

I would love to see more Absorbing Man videos. He's vastly underrated, especially with everything he's pulled off throughout the decades.

I knew he'd absorbed Uru before, but I had no idea he was on this level! For some reason, I kind of thought he had to be touching something solid to absorb it's properties, not that he could just straight up absorb people's powers as well.

I would love to see the story when he absorbed The Cosmic Cube. But the main thing you need to know about absorbing man's weakness is the he is weak to drugs mostly in the liquid chemical version. However probably the best way to do it is to spray the drugs at him directly cuz during his time with gamma flight he became smart enough to realize that if he absorbs the hypodermic needle before it has the chance to pierce the skin and deliver its payload he can avoid being affected by the drug

Yo Rob. I just told my friend yesterday that if he was a marvel character he'd b absorbing man. Then bam, here's this. Definitely dive deeper. Especially the green door story. I'd love to know more, he look like he took a hell of a journey. Even in fear itself. The most i rly knew of him where from that arc and the old secret war days. He's more dope every time i think about it.
Sounds like Absorbing Man would have been a great help with the battle against the Incursions.

I always knew Absorbing Man took on the traits of the material itself. Like if he absorbs adamantium he'll be all but indestructible, or if he absorbs vibranium he'll have its energy redirecting abilities. But I didn't know he took on the magical, cosmic, etc traits too such as the lightning of Mjolnir, or the energy of the Quantum Bands. So I knew he was a real danger before, but this is INSANE... Thank God he's such a derp, cause I think this guy would've ended reality otherwise.
Imagine, Absorbing man powers given to someone who just got lets say dragged in the MCU, Thanos better be ready to catch hands with a vibranium proto adamantium regenerating man who with the capabilities of the alloy is immune to knockback, tough and strong/fast due to the material he chose then if Thanos is lacking and the guy grabs one of the stones?, oh lordy MCU stones hurt to use so you need resistance, but What IF you become the material the stone is and effectively become it and its power?, unrestricted infinity stone usage :)

Of this series, this is by far the most clever video.
The most OP and dangerous Absorbing Man was in Earth X when took Ultron's vast computer intelligence.
That was a wonderful trilogy wasn't it? I mean it went through the entire Marvel universe at the time. Alex Ross is the best. Wish he could've painted it. I've long thought that's where the idea of Secret Empire came from,Universe X has a similar flashback when Cap kills the Skull 😎
yeah, in earth x he methodically and sadistically killed almost all the avengers with ultrons superintelligence. his body was broken into several pieces and hidden throughout the globe so that he would not awaken and destroy the entire planet

You forgot the issue when he fought Spiderman, Absorbing Man transformed his whole body into diamond and threw an airplane at Spiderman in an attempt to destroy him. Creel may be underrated but he is my favorite villain from the Wrecking Crew
I like how he was portrayed in Agents of SHIELD. A lot more subdued, but well used in the series in my opinion.
Imagine if he worked with taskmaster,kreel would absorbs the powers and Masters would teach him the strategy and technique to use them properly

He's such a versatile character. He can be a hired goon that just punches things or he can be an omega level bad ass that rips dimensional doors open.

I find it funny how Absorbing man and Titania have a more stable relationship than most superhero relationships.
Also, there is a What If story called What if Secret Wars(1984) happened 25 years later where Absorbing man and Titania have a daughter.
While watching this video, a thought that continued to enter my head was David Banner from the 2003 Hulk movie. While never addressed by that name, he did exhibit many of the abilities of the Absorbing Man in a manner which he could control. Apart from the ending of the fight, he was able to control what he absorbed and to effective use. From beckoning a lightning storm as a vector of travel, hardened rocky mass, to water 'spirit', all while sapping Hulk of his gamma radiation. I wonder what Rob's opinion of that character/portrayal is.

I juust gtot the card for this guy in Marvel Snap. One of the first Pool 4 cards. His effect is that he copies the "on reveal" effect of the previous card played. So versatile, works in a lot of decks.

I feel like Absorbing Man always gets treated as a low to mid level threat in every cartoon he is in. I know he is in Agents of Shield but that show is basically non canon so I hope him and Gravitron get to show up in the MCU for real. I don't see Creel being the main villain of a movie but he could make a dope henchman maybe to the Leader or maybe MODOK.

In the mcu this ability is extremely powerful. For instance you can turn into gravitonium and control gravity. You can turn into the diviner and turn people into stone. You can turn into vibranium and be able to absorb and deflect energy. You can turn into yaka metal and be able to move around breaking the laws of physics by just whistling. You could turn into pym particles and be able to shrink or grow yourself or anything around you. You’d be able to turn into darkforce and have the abilities to create matter, manipulate peoples fears or teleport. You could turn into light force and be able to make hard light constructs and use them as weapons or shields, making knives, swords, and shooting energy blasts, along with being able to manipulate peoples hopes and dreams. If you had other enhancements like a super soldier serum of some sort, the heart shaped herb, venom from the radioactive spider, etc you’d be able to pick up an infinity stone without exploding. This would mean that this power stacked with other enhancements would result in the ability to turn into an infinity stone. Now imagine if you made yourself an artificial inhuman body made out of technology from Helen Cho’s cradle and agents of shields project looking glass. You could have a body with multiple inhuman super powers. Healing, super strength, speed, but also the ability to create clones of yourself. You could create 6 clones because the prime version has to control the others. These 6 clones could all touch a different infinity stone and turn into it. Then they could all fuse back together while in that state being a living synthetic amalgamation of all 6 infinity stones. Now that would be unstoppable. Literally a god.
