The only thing that’d make this even more sublime is a Gallade card showing an alternative outcome, like maybe the baby’s grown up and Gallade is helping them with their sports training or something.
That would be a cool idea!
Or an Iron Valiant card that shows what happened after the Pokémon world was taken over by Skynet and gender became nonexistent and everyone is robotic

The best part about this is that Gardevoir is based on a guardian angels, which is super fitting

@@Disheartthorn it can be based on both. A lot of pokemon are based on 2 or more things
In French, the "Garde" part comes from the infinitive verb "Garder" ("To keep"/"To guard"/"To ward"), and "Garde" is also, as you can tell, the french translation of the noun "Guard".
Then there's the second half of the name, "Voir", which is literally the infinitive french verb that means "To see".
But then, there's also another word play, as you can also count the "Devoir" part, which, in French, can either be interpretated as an infinitive verb and translation of "Having to"/"To owe", or as the French translation of the noun "Duty".
With all of that explained, if you're knowledgeable enough about Gardevoir and her pre-evolutions, I think you'll totally understand the French name.
It's also worth noting that in the drawing the girl made of her and Kirlia, they have the same hairstyle. The daughter probably saw Kirlia/Gardevoir as an older sibling.

This series of cards perfectly illustrates why I've loved the Gardevoir line since Gen3. Some part of my child brain twigged onto the line being representative of a child growing up with the trainer as the parent.
As in they start as a mostly helpless "baby" in Ralts fully dependent on you to grow. Become a more independent but still in need of some protecting "teen" in Kirlia, and finish as an "adult" in Gardevoir/Gallade who's now the one to take care of you as you slow down in your "old age".
The Mega forms resembling wedding attire wrapped it up to me as you watching "your child" getting married and getting ready to start a family of their own.
The Gardevoir line is the best example of Gen 4's allusion to human/pokemon unions that I could find in canon. And honestly? Who wouldn't want a Gardevoir watching over your newborn child?
This definitely feels like the kind of Gardevoir that would create a black hole in order to protect its trainer without a doubt.
So It looks like Pokemon probably have a really long lifespan, given that the Gardevoir shows no traditional signs of old age. Which means that your Pokémon will probably outlive you and your family as well. They have no business making me confront my own mortality like this
I’ll bet it’s different depending on the Pokémon. For a Psychic type like Gardevoir, I guess it makes sense to live longer.

If anything she ages faster. The couple doesn’t look that old by the time gardevoir grows up. Unless the kid is like 40 or something than gardevoir was growing around the same rate.

Its never too late to learn! As long as you want to draw and remember why you love drawing, you will find motivation to continue. Also it's ok if you think your art sucks, you're just starting out and your perception of art has been developed while your skills aren't, it's just gonna take time.@@ViperDivinity

Imagine an entire set where each card tells a story.
I think Holon Phantoms is the closest we may get to that, since that whole set was about the TCG Original Holon Labs and how their experiments transformed the Pokemon in the area into different Types.
Some cute details from the cards are that the Ralts was in the wedding picture in the first card, implying that the Ralts was in the wedding party
A Gardevoir has got to be one of of not THE best family Pokemon you could have

@@_RedRightHand_ Same, I always loved the lady knight imagery Gardevoir had as a kid, I thought the pokemon was so beautiful when I first saw it playing Platinum at 8 years old. I always pictured it as this regal knight protecting my trainer.

I thought of it as that, alongside its guardian angel inspirations, and its ability to summon black holes - it takes protection of its trainer very seriously. It's also able to read minds and see the future, based on its PokéDex.
I love it when cards tell stories like this! One of my personal favorites is the Charizard evolution line for the special Generations expansion.
The Charmander card shows it mischievously stealing the young kid's glasses, the Charmeleon card shows them sitting on a tree branch looking at a book together as the kid is a bit older, and the Charizard card shows it valiantly protecting its now young-adult/teenager trainer from a snowstorm. Pretty much telling the story of their growth as trainer and Pokemon.
Man I hope we get a wholesome Magikarp/Gyrados story card arc so my 3 favorite Pokemon evo lines get wholesome stories.

just imagine if they decided to went dark theme and at the last card gardevoir is with the daughter mourning or getting blame for the death of her parents

I had order a box of the Japanese Scarlet & Violet cards and I actually got the Kirlia EX Card and it's beautiful. I'm hoping to get Ralts and Gardevoir.
I love seeing Pokémon as just part of the family or good friends with Trainers. Not battling or doing contests, just the Slice of Life they all deserve to enjoy from time to time.
That is so beautiful. I also like the fact Pokemon age SLOWLY.
I've heard people complain about this, like it violates some kind of rule for making the pokemon clearly visible.

This is exactly why I love Gardevoir so much. For a lot of people, it's just Hornimon. In my eyes, it's the perfect "family" Pokemon
You take it in as a nervous little toddler, raise it through it's cute child phase, and then you get it's powerful adult phrase. All the while, each form is cute and pleasant to look at
Oh, and Kirlia and Gardevoir are powerhouses as they level up and they always seem to carry my teams. Once my Gardevoir knows Psychic, you can honestly leave the money where you are and move on

I love how most cards showcase visual storytelling along with the unique illustrations from various artists. I still had some old cards dating back in the early 2000s along with the recent ones from gifts. Along with the gardevoir one shown, the emboar line growing up with its human trainer family is also my fav!
Stuff like this is why it's my favorite mon.
I love the concept of Pokemon as not just fighting partners but members of the family, evolving as the family does.
The artwork for the pokemon cards is one of the big reasons why i still collect them to these days.
I love the tepig story card tepig with it trainer at 5 Pignite with the trainer at 12 them Emboar with the trainer as an adult now have a family of his own

My older brother knows Gardevoir is my favorite pokemon, and it has been since I was like 8 and played my first pokemon game, so for my birthday one year, he made me a whole pokemon deck with these cards. I still have the cards and the deck

I could never get into the game, but I always loved the art of pokemon cards. They've certainly gotten better over the years, back when I collected everything was just stuck in those small boxes lol.

I love how the card tells a story unlike other cards that just show a Pokémon in a strange location doing random things but the ralts card line shows more than the Pokémon but also the trainers life through out the years.

This Ralts Line card is super expensive online over $300 which is crazy that's just for the Gardevoir Card alone the Ralts and Kirla cards are cheaper but Ugh I do want this set.

I like the cards art a lot because as one of my favorite pokemon it depicts how I imagine life with the pokemon.
on my first scarlet and violet pack i got on my birthday, i got the gardevoir, and freaked out, when i found out about the other cards, i started hunting for it (i never got it lol but i did pull the kirlia for my friend)
Took a long time evolving Kirlia to Gardevoir.

She probably went on her own journey like the protagonist in each game.
