I don’t think it’s a big grand conspiracy. Just the timeless human fallibility and weakness of fearing change and trying to maintain oneself and it almost always not working out. To age means to confront obsolescence in that industry. Also it’s just the existential fears of death and obviously it’s one thing for young people being like ‘not me! Also, some people here could have body dysmorphia, issues due to illnesses and just have Botox addiction. You keep needing more and more work as it weakens your muscles. Pretty scummy that plastic surgery industry as they often try to pitch it as laid back and for self care. Even saying getting Botox on your 11 lines will help you fight depression by stopping you from making upset faces.

The footage from the rest of that night he does look closer to Jim and his eyes actually look brown so the green might have been a result of lighting.

Jim Carrey getting botox might be him feeling the pressure to try and look young more than him just being vain. Does this make sense? I worry i sound insane.
@Miles_Phantasmagoria that doesn't sound insane. Youth is inherently desirable, especially as we get further away from it. We put a ton of pressure on ourselves to look a certain way, and it sucks that as you get older, you can start to feel less desirable or viable. You might even feel less wanted, period. It's tough.

who is doing it in seconds? I don't think this is a clone, but if we're to entertain all theories we have to give them reasonable thought. Dolly the sheep was revealed to the public in the 90s and we've also been shown human ears grown on mice. What we're *not* shown is far more advanced than what we are shown. Given Carrey has been outspoken for a while now, it's reasonable to suggest a clone of him has been in the works for several years. You might think 'humans don't grow that fast' but think about chickens that are raised industrially. They grow much faster and bigger than they do naturally bc of genetic adjustments and growth hormones. Sorry for the long comment LOL but it's perfectly feasible, even if not likely.

I don’t think it’s a big grand conspiracy. Just the timeless human fallibility and weakness of fearing change and trying to maintain oneself and it almost always not working out. (I feel like the attempts and bizarre reactions by the public claiming you a clone or mask wearing alien would just dehumanize you more and feel worst about yourself.)
To age means to confront obsolescence in that industry. To change means to lose control of what you consider is your peak and value (don’t agree, but again…that is the cruddy industry)
So they tweak and manicure themselves into twilight zone looking uncanny versions of themselves to dispel their anxiety on that. Also it’s just the existential fears of death and obviously it’s one thing for young people being like ‘not me! I’ll become a crone with grace!’ Till time actually does grab you by the hair and throw you through a glass window and then you think you look chopped and unlike yourself and get scared.
Also, some people here could have body dysmorphia, issues due to illnesses and just have Botox addiction. You keep needing more and more work as it weakens your muscles.
Pretty scummy that plastic surgery industry as they often try to pitch it as laid back and for self care. Even saying getting Botox on your 11 lines will help you fight depression by stopping you from making upset faces.

I can see why people think it's a body double of Jim especially if they've just seen that one interview clip, in the clips his eyes look green and the movement in his face is very off from what we usually see from Jim which is more realistically a result of Botox despite Jim never getting into that vanity stuff age changes people and the lack of fluid exaggerated movements with get from Jim could also simply be age to dude getting on now. The footage from the rest of that night he does look closer to Jim and his eyes actually look brown so the green might have been a result of lighting.
