Personally i wouldn't cross the Rd to see both versions ..I heard from sources close to UB40 that Ali when he left took everything inc control of the bank accounts he even took thier instruments too they had to start from scratch ...

That is annoying if you're going to see a concert you expect to be able to enjoy it but it always happens you get idiots that spoil it and like you I can't stand folk like that especially when your trying to enjoy what was a great concert I had to watch it with the uploads from decent people who were there to have a good time and were kind enough to share it with people like me who couldn't get a ticket and I only live in Edinburgh too but I've been singing along to the music and loved every bit of it I thought the woman on the stage with Ali Campbell was fricking hilarious when she sang the bit in Kingston town and obviously you ended up with idiots beside you apart from that the concert was amazing the performance from the sax player on come back darling he was brilliant and the voice of UB40 Ali Campbell was fricking brilliant big love to everyone who was there yous had a great time and what a party yous had I got a bit emotional when Ali sang impossible love as that song always puts me in mind of astro rip what a legend he was

Vicky I watched the concert and like you I loved it and it was amazing and I don't know why people watch Ali Campbell and then come out with the crappy comments that they do but I loved it and I was in my house singing along ❤️ Ali Campbell and the fact that they played to a sold out concert so yes Vicky I'm with you on your comment and you were right in what you put up
O2 was also amazing. Great musicians and loved the Saxophonist solo on Come back Darling. Packed audience. I loved it!
@@ub40time the guy on the sax was fricking brilliant and Colin on the trumpet was on top form as well Ali Campbell the voice of UB40 without a doubt and the fans at Glasgow armadillo were brilliant singing and dancing along to the music and the fact it was a sold out concert make it even better I live in Edinburgh and I couldn't get a chance to see the amazing performance from Ali Campbell and everyone who was on the stage with him big love Ali Campbell and to everyone who was there yous smashed it and Ali Campbell is playing in Birmingham 13th and at the same place as the in memory of astro rip was big love everyone who will be back there to see Ali Campbell on his hits tour big love xx
@@ub40time me to that saxophonist is fricking brilliant and watching him in Glasgow armadillo doing his stuff to come back darling he's brilliant and the guy Colin on the trumpet jeesh you need some puff to play they instruments but got to say that the sax performance was sheer perfection intact and would say that they were all brilliant and to me Ali Campbell is the voice of UB40 along with the late astro rip but you still get your armchair critics oh so quick to bring Ali Campbell down and it's going to be emotional for Ali Campbell and his musician being back at the Birmingham arena were they held the in memory of astro concert it's everytime I hear impossible love I still fill up the concert in Birmingham was great and the fans were brilliant singing and dancing along to the music and everyone who was there what a send off they gave the legend astro rip big love xx

I liked that too but credit to Ali Campbell he had a dance with her and he never got the security to escort her back off the stage but when she sang Kingston town and riddler said to the fans we all know she can't sing but I know everyone else can I was pissing myself laughing and Ali Campbell what a great guy for having a dance with her and singing to her as well Ali Campbell and his musician and backing vocalist were amazing and the guy on the sax he was fricking brilliant boy could he play that saxophone 🎷 brilliant and at Glasgow armadillo sold out there as well Ali Campbell is the voice of UB40 and after Glasgow armadillo he sold out his hometown of Birmingham that says it in it's self that Ali Campbell still has it to be doing this hits tour and selling out the venues along the way and big love to all the fans who managed to get tickets to see the brilliant Ali Campbell

what a joke you got to be kidding me i saw them many times in the early days,,me and three mates travelled from Glasgow to Edinburgh to see UB40 after eeing them in glasgow 2 days before,I didnt have a s driving licence, I borrowed a car from a guy I worked with who fixed cars with the Name Zahib in glittery name on the side, here is me with 3 white guys driving to Edinburgh smoking hash all the way to see our favourite band,no we dididn't get caught,we get to the venue ,best UB40 show i've ever been too, must have been 70 people there ,fuckin brilliant show, then i here this shit ,give me a break, what a load of CRAP! RIP Astra

Well said, look at it as a tribute band if you like, but Ali Campbell is the voice of UB40, other acts have done the same when a singer leaves, Supertramp for 1, Roger Hodgson left and they carried on, he had quite a good career after that

@@vickysteggles692 Vicky you always get one asshole it's because Ali Campbell is the voice of UB40 and the fact he's sold out 2 arena's so far with Glasgow armadillo and then Birmingham arena a Brummie lad back home to a sold out concert and his saxophone player is amazing and riddler he really gets the fans going and if you don't know who riddler is its frank from the fun loving criminals and at least with Ali Campbell unlike robin Campbell he has a great time with the fans robin Campbell he doesn't look like he wants to be there and he doesn't move far away from the microphone stand so yes I think us fans are happy listening to the voice of UB40 Ali Campbell and to everyone who was at Birmingham arena and Glasgow armadillo big love to you all as yous had a right party at both concerts and also big love Ali Campbell xx

@@melvinjanssen5392well said like you give me Ali Campbell anytime and I don't think robin Campbells band will be playing to a sold out arena I watched the upload of his band members at Birmingham citys ground and the ground was more than half empty and robin Campbell looked like he didn't want to be there and they started singing there song about the royal blues and some of the fans at the football ground joined in but give me Ali Campbell and his musicians anytime and I'm Scottish and believe me Scottish fans are hard to please but to sell out Glasgow's armadillo he's done fricking brilliant and the fan's are loving him big love to all the fans who were there and big love Ali Campbell and the rest of the guys on stage fricking brilliant thanks to the person who put this up loved it xxxx

@@jackiesmith3684 Yh true, I just dont like the new UB40 singer. I mean UB40 for me is mostly Astro and Ali campbell. Because his voice is still so powerfull. So i prefer Ali with anything behind him then the original with a new singer. I ofcourse prefer the original cast but unlucky. I got lucky watching them perform back in 2008 in the netherlands. ( Last week i went to this concert aswell in the netherlands and i enjoyed it a'lot ). People were still singing i got you babe, After the concert was over so every one was happy. :)
