Just like the streaming apps Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Prime etc it’s hard to keep up with it nowadays. That’s what video games are becoming. That’s why I just focus on what I like and if I’m not interested in something I’m not wasting my time with it.
The thing about live service, you don't have to stay current... you have the ability to go play something else and still come back to a game that hasn't died

So many games try to be the next Fortnite or Apex Legends and fail spectacularly, because players' time is a very valuable currency.
