- For years we've been shooting limits of mallards with nothing but a stick and string. We only do this a few days each season, one being opening day. With everyone around us pounding them with shotguns, this pushes all the ducks to us because there is no noise and they absolutely fill the woods up. This sets the tone for the weeks that follow. This is the epitome of tricking and finishing ducks. Bow hunting at it's best!! No shotguns, no problem!!!

Great hunt! I used to try and get one bow hunt in but the farm I hunted at got sold so no longer have a good spot for it. But it is a lot of fun and oh so effective!

Mine is 70#. I use my same deer setup. It’s definitely overkill but just easier than cranking down and resetting everything. Thanks for watching!

@DadandSonsOutdoorsAdventures if it's not illegal than it's definitely unsportsmanlike seems odd to shoot a duck on water when hundreds are flying in less than 20yards..

@katelynhenderson8405 I watch ppl use bow to shoot bird/ducks out of the air and be not nearly as many birds..I definitely was always under the impression it was illegal to shoot ducks off water..for what it's worth I don't duck hunt it is a waste of my time
