I was introduced to the SSPX when I was studying in Spain. I attended the mass in Madrid several times before flying back to the Philippines.I attended mass twice here in Manila but due to my role as a caregiver for my brother and mother I can’t attend regularly. Keeping the society in mind and in my prayers.
St. Andre Besette, pray for us! Let us pray for the SSPX Brothers, their ministries, souls, and vocations, as provided by our Dear LORD and our Blessed Mother!
Yes! I was thinking the same thing! My uncle is now an SSPX priest, and he and Br Maximillian became friends during their first few years at the seminary.
Why are you protestant? I mean, I wasn't even baptized when I decided to convert myself to Christ, but I didn't consider being a protestant for a second, I was sure that the true Church was the Catholic. I just don't understand why a person would be a protestant without having been a catholic first, unless that person was born in a protestant family.
Regards from Chile....I m a mother of six. Four of them are boys...(15/17/23/28) I Just pray for their lifetime vocation...God Will show them their path...
Today May 15, 2021, this video moves me a lot.I am an atheist! But I cannot help feeling a gigantic attraction for the Catholic faith, its theology, its philosophy, but more than anything the BIBLE, despite my filthiness, I would like put my profession into service, I am a Doctor of Medicine, as a BROTHER of the SSPX or perhaps of the LC.
We too enjoying holly mass at our town tuticorin last 30 years by sspx prists our fathets father pankaras and Antony Xavier introduced this holly mass and sspx for our salvation.
even though i do not know engough Latin to follow a entire Mass ( yes I did try to learn it) the TLM is my favorite Mass, and I wish there was a SPPX Church near me.
Great video! I knew Br. Gerard and his twin brother Fr. (Doctor) Dave Nichols in Winona when I was growing up. I've always admired the work the Brothers do at the Seminary.
The SSPX Brothers are like the SSPX Sisters who focus on supporting the priest in his apostolate and work. The SSPX Sisters help the priests directly, especially in the sacristy and in the singing of the Divine Office. Depending on the priory, the laity help the priests directly - especially whenever there aren't any SSPX Brothers or SSPX Sisters located there. Otherwise, to be an actual member of the SSPX (as opposed to just attending an SSPX Mass location or parish), one would need to be a Priest, a Brother, a Sister, or a 3rd Order Member.
I have often thought that some religious orders, societies and congregations should put more emphasis on the role of the lay brother as more of a levitical role to serve the priesthood rather than to be as the monasteries domestics. In my novitiate the lay brothers novices had a liturgical role in so far as they served at Holy Mass, High Mass and benediction in various capacities as acolytes, thurifer and master of ceremonies or MC. Once out of the novitiate and into the other houses of the congregation, which were mainly also parishes, these services were taken on by the men and boys of the parish. The lay brothers were more of less confined to domestic duties. In my six years of profession I cannot remember ever being MC at a sung or HIgh Mass. I believe that the lay brothers of the Benedictine and Cistercian orders have a role as alter servers at High Mass and pontifical High Mass celebrate by the Abbot, but in the Carthusian Order they have no role at all as altar servers other than at Low Mass.
“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” (John 17:11, 14-15.)
I find it amusing that these lay brothers would wear a clerical collar as their habit. It doesn't seem appropriate. In regard to the video, I was looking for an explanation of why one would choose the brotherhood over the priesthood, but no discussion was forthcoming.
Absolutely WRONG Do watch the YT documentary on the life of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. That will reveal the Truth about this Awesome Society and clear all erroneous ideas about it, as was true in my case. GOD Bless you
What would Jesus think? The OLD LATIN TRIDENTINE church (of which I was brought up in and loved)....is no longer relevant in our modern world....The Mass as it is today embraces and includes the Laity in a personal way and speaks their language in the vernacular.....The OLD RCC has opened the "windows" and let in much needed fresh air.....Your church simply glorifies the priest and sets him on a pedestal like he was someone above and beyond those he serves.....Jesus would not be impressed......that's my view....
@@BujangMelaka90 True, but more pitifully, it is a modernist Boomer comment. Emotional. Scolding. Condescending. Falsely sympathetic. And dead wrong. What is no longer relevant in the world, and never was, is the self indulgent hubris of the most unimpressive, unremarkable, and most willful generation to ever burden the earth. Soon enough the last will be gone. Their lava lamps will fail. Their virtue signals fall silent. Even the smell of stale bong water will fade away. No one will take note, or care. The maligned Latin Mass will endure though, and will help to revive a withered and diminished Church to former levels of glory, function, and inspiration.
If your idea of letting in fresh air means dancing around the church or co-mingling with pagans. atheists, protestants, lutherans or pachamamas in the belief that all mankind will be saved regardless of religion as fed by vatican 2 and all the heretical popes associated with it, including francis, I'd rather stick with the true Mass and for that matter, the true Catholic faith. Well, that's my view.
This MODERN world who honoring Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Islamism as part of modern world while they are NOT that kind MODERN, you mean? Church mean assembly, community. In MODERN term, each community lead by LEADER, they call it Governor, Major, President, Chief, Head of Office, Head master, Dean, Rector, Director, WHATEVER; in Church we call it PRIEST. Priest is administer, shepherd who caring flocks. Does Leninist think Lenin doctrines too OLD and odd to be used in this modern day? Does Maoist revise Mao doctrines with idea NOT RELEVANT in modern era? Jesus just interest to BELIEVERS, that is the reason even He knew Peter will denying him three times and Judah Iscariot will betray him, Jesus still pick both weak men as HIS DISCIPLES. That is my view.
I am NOT Catholic, my father is Pentecost pastor. When i moved to Italy in late November 2011, i came to LATIN MASS in Genova as VISITOR. In 2012, i attend Sunday Mass as VISITOR. But in June 2013 someone gave me free voucher to watched Cristiada (Viva Cristo Re) film that made based on true story when Communist Mexicans banned Catholic in there and killing thousands priest, civilians. Their martyrdom changing my perception about it. I searched Mantila through Google, but nothing left in Italy. In December 2013, a good friend offer me Mantilla as Christmas gift. I accept it in 14 January 2014, i wore it until 2019. It is broken, i made it in 2020 and i wore it until today. If Modernist asked the reason i chose this community, and refuse that Modern Catholic; i answered them,"I am interest to SACRED way and THEIR SILENCE." This November it will be 10 years I attend Latin Mass in Genova, Italy and i will never change my mind with idea OLD style or not modern. I believe in Jesus who born 2000 years ago, He is NOT that kind MODERNIST, right?
Beautiful, I love the SSPX, they are a most holy beautiful and lofty order. I believe Archbishop Lefebvre will be canonized one day!

I think a belief in a God is a basic requirement to join this religious institute.
Maybe believe first, get baptised etc and wait a bit. Talk to a priest too if you are really interested.
Maestro, I wrote a long detailed step by step reply to you that has right now disappeared from this column.
I became a Catholic because at a relatively early age I saw the Catholic Church as the true faith
Brother or a Priest, let our light shine and help those who need! Thanks n God Bless! 👍✝️🙏❤️🌝❤️
God bless Br. Marcel

How can I apply to join the brothers of SSPX? Please, I need some contacts to guide me.

Just curious is your order under the Bishop of Rome? Are you with Archbishop Lefevre? Thanks!
Sia lodato Gesù Cristo 🙏⛪️🕊
I'm searching a seminary in México, somebody know , where can I found it?
There's no SSPX seminary in Mexico. The closest one is St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary. www.stas.org/en
Hello, I've been trying to get in touch with the designer for your organization. Minute 10:02 is a clue! Is there a way to contact the brother?
Does the Society of St. Pius X have an age limit? If so what is that age restriction?
The Society of St. Pius X does not have an age limit. The Brothers have an age minimum of 18 years old (depending on maturity of the applicant).
SSPX News - English. Does the SSPX have permanent Deacons?
@@infjintegrityvsnarcissism7295 Traditionally there wasn't married deacons.
@@infjintegrityvsnarcissism7295 I think Deacons are only made for seminarians for a short period of time, perhaps I'm wrong.
There is a South African in SSPX please bring the brothers to S. A. we need you desperately.
Is there a female equivalent to a brother, as in a lady who helps nuns?
The SSPX Brothers are like the SSPX Sisters who focus on supporting the priest in his apostolate and work. The SSPX Sisters help the priests directly, especially in the sacristy and in the singing of the Divine Office. So are they acolytes or adult altar servers?
Are the Monks in Silver City, New Mexico part of the SSPX?
They are associated with FSSPX.
Sólo era uno contra todos pero ahora tiene más hijos que nadie
Question, does the SSPX exist in Slovenia?
You can attend Latin mass in Ljubljana every 2nd Sunday, 16:00, at Župnija Sveti Kříž.
Is there an age requirement to enter as a Brother? Is late vocation being accepted?
How does one join the Society of ST. Pius X? Is it open to women?
Anyone can attend a mass by the SSPX. For vocations there is also the sisters of the Society of St Pius X.

Were you a Novice at the SSPX?
"The world is tuned out, and God is tuned in." What the sharp separation between God and the world? Can't God be found in the world?
“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” (John 17:11, 14-15.)
Can You admit Aspirant from Africa or You have Noviciate There ?
Thank you and Blessings !
I reccomend talking to your priest
Is there any SSPX Brothers in Taiwan?

So, are they like regular Catholic deacons?
🤲
They are altar brothers.

One chooses one instead of another through the process of discernment of one's vocation and call by the Lord.
