- In #DragonBallZ Perfect Cell was one of the most iconic villains. However, he was defeated during the Cell Games and never got to live out his dream of being perfect for long - but what if he did? What If Perfect Cell Won the Cell Games and beat Gohan. He could do many things but what exactly? Let's discuss 5 ways he might have moved forward - would he get stronger? Would he rule the galaxy? "As distraught as Bulma was over the deaths of her husband, future son, and oldest and best friend in the world, her practical, scientific mind reminded her that she had no time to mourn. As Cell gloated into the cameras about his perfect victory over the Dragon Team before resolving to destroy the Earth like he promised, Bulma quickly ran back to Capsule Corp, wherein Future Trunks' time machine was safely sitting in its capsule. Gathering any and all important documents and parts she could find into capsules of their own, she hopped into the machine and set a course for somewhere in the past, with the earth cracking beneath and Cell's laughter echoing in her ears as the time machine finally disappeared into a flash of light only mere seconds before the Earth was destroyed. She knew what to do. She had a plan already in mind - if Dr. Gero could create a bio-mechanical monstrosity to terrorize the earth, why couldn't she create one of her own to save it? She had seen Android 16's schematics, she knew all of Cell's abilities from watching the tournament, and she knew where Gero's lab was to begin with. Only question was, which past year would she venture to, and where would she start once arriving?"
That's to get you started. You could make a much better story with that premise than I could, I'm willing to bet :)

I mean, Vegeta definitely beat Goku. Dude was down and out. Vegeta just got beat with a B-team effort.
Torn between:
- Cell Ruling Earth and having to deal with the eventual Resurrection of Majin Buu
- Cell searching for a Challenge and running into Brolly or Moro.
- Cell gets bodied by Whis and the Dragon Team having to Train like never before with complete confusion as to what happened.
This is definitely the most “perfect” what-if.

I feel like there is at least one other possible storyline, kind of a mish-mash of several. I feel like he may or may not blow up Earth, that's 50/50, but he would explore other worlds. With the intent of improving himself. I feel like he would be absorbing arious alien races every time he finds they have some interesting ability, or technique, making himself stronger, and training when he doesn't find anything interesting.
Quickly though, he'd find very little challenge left in the Universe, and decides to set down roots, picking an out of the way planet, and actually populating it entirely with Cell Jr.s that actually have more personality and staying power. I feel like this new "race" of Cells would be looked at by the Kai's as moderately worrisome, but I don't think they'd call Beerus out, as it IS increasing their mortal-level after all...
Cell himself would continue to train, but he'd send some of his promising Cell Jr's out to other worlds to absorb any interesting techniques, or biological abilities, and when they return, he'd throw tournaments between those that return, to see which of the abilities are interesting enough that he will absorb them into himself.
In short, he'd be taking over the galaxy, improving himself, AND looking for a challenge... all at once.
I actually really love this idea and I'd love to see it turned into a full blown what-if.

@@Fishlipsandbabyhands Eventualy... But who's to say that would happen so quickly? And could they take out ALL the versions of Cell that are roaming the cosmos? I dunno. Either way, it COULD make an interesting time-line. And that's ASSUMINGthat these versions of Cell just go around destroying everything. Not a safe assumption.
If they're only "eating" (absorbing) a few of the powerful warriors on eac planet, here and there... I don't think the Kai's would interfere. You're right that that's a possibility though!
Also, when Beerus wakes up, if there are no "Saiyans" left other than Cell, that might be interesting too!

What if Cell could make his own Dragon Balls, and DID?

Well if he absorbed dendea he would have both forms of namekian within him and likely through denea would possess the knowledge and power to create them. A being of ever doubling power tucked away in the dark of the cosmos continually wishing his own dragon to make him stronger would be a recipe for appocolypse.

Cell would literally have the potential to be the most BUSTED dragon ball character to exist.
If he could have made his own Dragon Balls, then he'd never have had to time travel, as he could wish Future 17 and 18 back to life and absorb them immediately afterwards. Whether that leads to a redemption arc for them, or the complete annihilation of Earth in the future timeline is anyone's guess.
Perfect Cell is so handsome, almost too handsome to be a villain.

I reckon that he wouldn't go that far in the latter. Goku's DNA is there but is not large enough to be JUST like Goku.

@@MasakoX I could see it not a care for Gohan, but seeing how different he is from Vegeta and Goku, all Gohan needs is to keep training. Maybe in a way it keeps him Pacified. And a great tool for him getting stronger, appealing to Cells Saiyan side. I don't see him becoming good unless he's somehow convinced to make Maita and Chondra on his own, but somehow let them be themselves.

If Cell continuously trained with Frieza's cells and Saiyan cells, he would be golden Frieza level or maybe even more than what we have ever seen in Super.

Seriously, at this point I'm starting to believe that the only reason they never bring Cell back is because of how busted he would be. I know it was due to Akira Toriyama feeling that drawing Cell was too difficult for him, but at this point there is a large team to help him and now there's technology to make things easier.

Maybe. I think Super Perfect Cell might stomp Movie 1 Broly. It took Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan to bring down Broly. All of their energy into a single punch.
Movie 2 Broly is a bit stronger, sure. It took SSJGoten, SSJTrunks, SSJGoku, and SSJ2 Gohan to take down movie 2 Broly. Gohan is a bit weaker in this movie with his SSJ2 form than he was during the Cell games too.
I don't even need to say anything about the DBS Broly Movie.

A hybrid between "looking for more challenges" and "becoming a legend" scenarios, plus adding his natural malice and even some introspective disatisfaction in finding no real challenge is what a Perfect scenario would be like, culminating in the fight with Beerus as the absolute turning point for the character
I think he would Go tô the otherworld. Fight someone or tô the kais ,i mean they are probably the strongest beings awake
I strangely like the idea of Scenario 4 (I wonder what cell kool-aid tastes like) and how Cell would eventually try and deal with the boredom that comes with there being no one, not a thing even, stronger than him, After all, you can only bench press so many planets before it stops doing anything, but then Boo or Beerus arives and he gets reinvigorated by these new challengers and might even be put down a peg before becoming powerful enough to pose a real challenge to either one. The climax, a true battle of gods where Cell unleashes true power (maybe even God-Ki) as Beerus has to actually tie himself out to defeat him would be truly epic. Something that would be worthy of the legend that has begun to spin around Cell
Eh, I really dout Cell would be able to reach Majin Buu levels of power, especially without someone almost as strong as him to train with, and don't get me started with God ki... So I really dout Beerus would need to intervene...
Juaneste Cell has Frieza & King Cold’s DNA optimised. The same DNA that enabled Frieza to reach Super Saiyan Blue level after four months of training with a weak training partner that he tortured.
Add onto that his Saiyan DNA which also have tons of potential. I could very easily see Cell becoming Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken X20 level after 7 years of training before Buu arrives.

What I thought would be a great idea, however, is if they make Cell participate in TOP instead of Freiza.
i think that the most interesting scenario would be cell training, than when majin buu or beerus come around, he would basically be the protagonist of the story, but that's just my opinion.
Buu's pod (on earth) would be destroyed and Beerus wouldn't wake up for YEARS if he didn't have a vision.
Scenario 4 could be really interesting! As long as they don't bother him the Z-Fighters are free to go as usual.
I can see Namek and Dende restoring everyone back (except for Goku who won't want to return).
Due to Cell still being alive somewhere everyone would train more seriously during the time-skip in case he would return , which would lead to Gohan being either equal or a bit stronger than himself during his fight against Cell.
Everything will continue as usual in the series until the universe 7 vs universe 6 tournament, in which Cell will appear instead of Monaka.
Cell would be immensely strong and would be the one to defeat Hit, getting everyone pushed to train even harder, including Gohan, who instead of sometimes training like at the origina, he would train harder and would re-open his potential much sooner.
This could lead to Cell-Black in the Zamasu Saga and having Gohan actually participating in that Saga, hell, maybe even Cell would participate after hearing about how Zamasu took his body.
The Original team would probably be Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, 17, 18, Buu, Piccolo, Krillin and Roshi.
But Buu will fall asleep and they will bring either Tien or Frieza.

@@ianr.navahuber2195 Considering after defeating Gohan and the others Cell would probably just leave I can see Mr.Satan taking advantage of the situation and claiming that he defeated Cell or at the very least made him run away.
So generally, considering the main difference between this time line and the original one as of now is that everyone are training harder, I can see Gohan wanting to become a scholar just the same as before. Which would lead to Gohan and Videl getting together.
Majin Vegeta would still happen because while Gohan will be stronger Vegeta will be even stronger, so Vegeta's frustration will be the same.
Also, I'd write a fanfiction about this, but I am more of an idea guy.
Given how much growth Gohan went through in the 7 years pre-time skip I feel that he would be roughly at Mystic level in base if he kept training during the pre-Buu timeskip.

Not gonna lie, I too would of enjoyed seeing the look on cells face fighting whis.
I know i know we saw this with his fight with gohan, but im just imagining the sheer hopelessness in cells face as whis fends him off effortlessly and laughs while he does it like playing with childs toy

Cell can go full out and won't land a finger on Whis, but Whis, as an angel cannot attack back.
The thing is, with Option 3, we just have to wait until Cell runs into a certain saiyan deserted on a lone planet and gets obliterated.
I believe ot would be an interesting combination of things. I think he'd start by taking over the Frieza Force and planets. Then he'd pull a Demon King and create done Cell Jrs to become the Generals. Cell would explore new planets for strong fighters to challenge, recruit, or destroy. Traveling from place to place, he'd definitely have the time to meditate.
Later on, Babidi and Dabura would start hunting down Cell Jrs to take their Ki in order to summon Buu. Shin would then Team up with Cell in order to try and defeat Buu..... Idk after that
The best part of that last scenario is that it could have happened and nobody would know.

What if Future Vegeta survived in the Future Timeline in Dragon Ball Z?
Pretty sure Vegeta would try and surpass super sayian leading to grade 2 within a couple years if not sooner.
6. Possibility: cell absorbs all the z fighter's and the namekians, wishes for immortality(freezer genes), absorbs the Kai's, dabura and all somewhat strong fighter's he can find in the universe, gets goldenform like frieza, fights beerus, gets stronger through zenkai boosts till he's able to overpower beerus,absorbs beerus, becomes the new god, absorbs hit,jiren and all other strong guys from the 12 universe, obsorbs all the other god's and Kai's from the other universe, absorbs whis and the other angels, absorbs the grand priest, absorbs super shenlong, absorbs Zeno, becomes the new omniking

I'm pretty sure if Whis punched Cell, he would be erased from existence. However, Cell could make a potential candidate for a GoD trainee.

This is the kind of video that makes me drop a like in the first couple of seconds. This seems interesting. Thanks for doing this. Can't wait to hear about it.
I feel like with scenario 1 (taking over the world) it'd be interesting also in that it's possible that Bulma would still exist. She may not be able to resurrect anyone, but I also don't see her *ever* getting with the program with regards to the new regime. It'd put Capsule Corp in the position of taking the same role as the Red Ribbon Army and trying to overthrow him. She's already familiar with ki, knows Cell’s specifications (thanks, Gero!) and at least some understanding of the mechanics of working with it through SCIENCE via her prior combat experience with the Saiyan invasion (and Gero’s purloined research notes on his component fighters). Plus there's the Future Bulma iterations having surviving against the Androids and Future Zamusu/Goku Black, so getting immediately whomped isn't a given.
One could even see Cell allowing this just as a challenge to keep things interesting (but not *too* interesting). One wonders if it might even lead to the creation of NEW Artificial Humans (consensually upgraded, this time, unlike Gero’s versions) using some of the old DB guest fighters (an upgraded Android 8, perhaps?) in order to provide a means of physical resistance. We might even see a different iteration of The Suit as an alternate to Upgrading.
...at least until BUU shows up!
Scenario 4 leaves open the possibility that Cell could discover Golden Cell as he hits the limits of Super Sayan 2 and the uselessness off SSJ3 (though if he also has an Infinite Engine like 17/18, that might be enough to compensate for the energy hemorrhages so that he could actually master the form, but still eventually hit the same problem...).
He’d turn further inward as a result and stumble on the same path as Freiza of finding and refining a Golden form, eventually maybe stacking SSJ on it to make something even GOLDENER.
At least until BUU shows up! LOL
But seriously he’d probably be able to whomp Buu at that point. Unless Babadi could pull off making Maijin Cell. Which, if he could...

For some reason i think inside cells head theres everyone that was on his dna like from the movie "inside out" but with the z fighters, frieza etc instead of emotions
#6 Babidi finds him and enslave him, Babidi has Cell, Dabura and Buu and proceeds to murder Shin (which removes Beerus and Whis from the picture) and perhaps in future someone from Zeno comes to invite them for ToP/check what happened to GoD of universe 7
But, Babidi isn't realized that Cell has worked against him because Cell has Vegeta's DNA so Cell isn't under Babidi control. Cell then manipulates TOP.

I'd like to see the outcome of the 'Legend of Cell' timeline. I feel like word would eventually reach Whis and Beerus and the latter would become fascinated with Cell the way he was with 'super-saiyan god.' He'd be so much stronger by the time Beerus wakes up I think they might even decide to train him, especially with Frieza's DNA.

I do love the longer What If's, but the shorter ones like this are always welcome, just for how succinct they are.
I think the first option with Cell taking over Earth and revolutionizing it has bit more to add in Storytelling, especially with the upcoming Buu Saga and how he prepared the Earth for these kind of threats, as well as beerus coming in and learning about this artificial life-form with Saiyan biology.
Now we need a "Cell plays cities skyline" to create Gero's utopia

My preferred take: cell kills everyone, him and children play and wreck havoc in the galaxy, then one day get invited to a certain multiverse tournament by a group of bird men

I have an additional theory: Cell destroys the earth, goes off to conquer the universe. But he finds that there's nobody left to give him the slightest challenge, and he gets bored very quickly. Eventually he realises he needs the saiyans if he's to satisfy his need to have a rival. He finds New Namek, wishes the earth and its inhabitants back and demands that Goku
(Or Gohan, depending on how far the fight got) gets stronger, or he'll destroy everything for good the next time they meet.
Cell has the perfect jawline. It's too bad he was one of the few villains that could not be made good.
Now you have me wanting to make a list of my favorite Dragon Ball villains.
Can we actually have What if Cell never existed?

If dragon ball z ended after the Cell Saga and everything after that was a new dragon ball series; the series would have reached new levels of hype.
Please expand upon the first one. Bug me going throughout the universe(s) sounds fun. We might even get cell black, have meet up with the pride troopers, there's a lot of possibilities for this one to continue while the others seem like proper endings to the story.
Scenario 2 is gonna eventually be "What if Cell met Broly?"
Scenario 5 could be an interesting trigger of Shin coming earlier to Earth before Buu Shows up to start training the Saiyans. I would follow up master roshi's leasson of "there is always gonna be those stronger tha you" and that buu shows up later is just a prety big coincidence.
bonus points if shin learns of future trunks. or if the galactic parol starts doing something. maybe that jaco learned earth was destroyed and then fixed would cause him to check up earth even if only o see if his friend is okay in a very tsunderish-manner

I'm in love with the concept of Cell as a world leader.

I have been informed by my scientific research board that this pandemic thing is not something that can be resolved by blasting it, so after blasting THEM I took some time to ponder. It is my perfect advice that all of you stay locked in your houses while I find a new group of scientists to remedy the situation. I'd rather call seek out a challenge but I live the idea of him getting buddies by Whis aswell.
This is indeed the most perfect video I’ve ever seen.
I couldn't help but think of how this topic was handled in the Dragon Ball multiverse fan manga.
This fan manga tackled option three of cell destroying the planet and wandering the universe for any way to fix his boredom.
Part of me is honestly surprised that this manga wasn't mentioned, it would be very interesting if Masako learned about this manga story and potentially compared it to his what if.
That final result could technically be canon.
If that happened, and the Dragon Balls effectively restored things to that point, it would be easy to assume that Gohan was suddenly able to summon enough strength to push Cell's beam back and vaporise him completely. It could be barely noticeable that he was suddenly gone.
Cell, having won, goes through with his plans for world domination. After having established a New World Order for the Red Ribbon army, cell revives the Z fighters and lords over them as a True Neutral Anti-villain that "won". When Babidi and Buu arrive, Cell joins the heroes in defending Earth. In this timeline, Gohan develops the traits and lesson of his father the day he lost to Jackie Chun. Cell takes Gohan as a student, much like Piccolo did, to develop his academic pursuits... and on and on...
I can see this story getting even Crazier, Masako! A dark future for the Z Fighters, and more character development for Gohan, the boy who lost.
The second option actually intrests me the most as I'm curious to see how he would deal with the likes of majin buu and then, later on, moro
This "What If" made me imagine Cell in a fitted suite and tie....

Whis: God.

@@MasakoX I don't know, Cell let his Vegeta show a LOT. I think he would want the people to bow to him first... at this point his Freeza would start to show, and he would want to bask in the admiration
Small tweak, cell was Biomechanical, not just tech, he was organic. He grew, had regeneration, bled, he wasn't technically an android, but he was an engineered organism.
Hey, I think Shin never knew about Beerus until said God woke up and the Elder Kai told him about the cat man.
Basically, What If Vegeta didn't distract Cell at the last moment.
Hey Masako, something a little different to ask: What if a Cell Jr turned good? Something a bit different from Good Boy 21, a Cell Jr that at first is pretending to have turned good, but ends up pulling a bit of a Vegeta. And assuming Gohan let one lived, or a Super Cell Jr Cell made at the last moment.

in your "What if Goku didn't know Instant Transmission" video, Cell blows everyone up, wins and flies around in space fighting strong opponents.
in any case i would like your thoughts if Vegeta beat Goku. what was he planning to do about Freeza if he won on Earth?

LMFAO.
The most interesting parh to me is a mix of 1 and 4 with a bit of Shin intervention. Essentially the [Piccolo Jr./Dr. Gero/Shin] arc where Cell does set out to fulfill Dr. Gero's dream but that dream (and by extension recording) is meddled, temper, and in a sense corrupted by the Nemakian's vast array of knowledge and wisdom as well as a penchant for wanting to be in the shadows, after all the bug portion is still in there. In this path Cell sorta becomes a good guy in a sort of bogeyman kinda way and becomes a sorta middle position because the god of destruction and the supreme kai. He enforces and initiates change often by sending a cataclysm towards the inhabitants of a planet, then leaves them to their own devices to find a way to overcome the wave of change and improve. If they fail, oh well what a disappointment, but if they succeed and become something better, something more then they are just that little step closer to becoming perfect like him. Eventually Cell would be recognized and exalted by the kais as an actual god, a god of change and self improvement. I guess there was a little bit of Goku in there after all.
Id choose Cell taking over the galaxy, because of that happened, then imagine him eventually stumble upon Broly and Paragus on Vampa.
Everyone who dislikes is just jealous that they’re not as perfect as cell
It would be interesting if one of these possible scenarios lead to a fight between Perfect Cell and Majin Buu and Dabura.
I like the one where Piccolo's cells take over. It falls more in line with the perfect Cell from multiverse

I've actually found myself disliking Cell as a reaction to how much love he gets from the western fandom.
But anyhow, Cell floats along until either Beerus wakes up, or he runs into Broly then he dies. Alternately he and Dabura battle and wake up Buu and then Buu kills him.
I think Cell should have never been beaten. He has everyone's techniques, An invincible body, and can get B's Zenkais. Without plot armor you could not beat that
He would've been the best end boss for the show.

Cell is technically the Def of a Chimera that would've destroyed everyone.

DB Multiverse viewed this as one of the possible timelines, with Cell eventually becoming a tenuous ally to our heroes against Babidi and his army of Majins.
Cell realizes that there's no one stronger than him left and becomes a baseball legend (Yamcha)
The Second scenario sounds the most likely I could also imagine cell renaming the frieza force the cell squad.
