I agree with much of what you are saying here, especially that Wake Up Ghost is his worst album. I gave it away after 4-5 listens, just thought it was below par. Kojak Variety is not great, but several years ago Rhino re-issued it with a bonus CD of song covers, which includes his covers of Beatles, Springsteen, and Van Morrison. The bonus CD is much better than the original. The album that I really like by Elvis that usually gets ranked lower by most people is All This Useless Beauty. My top five would be 1. Trust 2. Imperial Bedroom 3. My Aim Is True 4. Armed Forces 5. King of America.

This was good. I think Punch the Clock is a bit better than you and Hey Clockface I bought but haven’t even opened since I heard it on Spotify. I’d not liked it so much I ignored his latest. I agree with you about Goodbye Cruel World, 1985 is when I first started listening to Elvis so its always been tucked sweetly into my heart. Everyone seems to not include Taking Liberties but I love that record. Thanks.

Love your ranking. I disagree at certain stages, but it really doesn't matter. I'll have a go at a top 10 and a runner up. The new one is great btw.
