Tbh, I like stiff boost rather than soft boost, it's more stable while giving the same amount impact protection. Boost has extended the life span of my legs. Other brands though, have been killing my legs

@@SUPERYOUTOBEMAN it is awesome! I would even say it's a little too much cushion for me. Just look out for durability, if you play for too much it gets a good amount of fraying.
Hi nightwing I'm new to your channel and I just want to say thank you for giving detailed reviews of bball shoes. I really appreciate it and I enjoy your reviews a lot.
My heels hurt when the heel and forefoot cushioning are not consistent, not sure why. Air Max 270’s for example, not great on my heels. I still think this silhouette is awesome/technology is good relative to price.
When you said that part about the boost , lifestyle shoes . I couldn’t figure it out but totally get what you’re saying! Lately after I wore my NMD’s and hybrid neighborhood collabs I started getting stress in my arch and Achilles’ tendon ! I wore another pair of comfortable shoes from Nike , not as soft but a lot more support. I thought I was loosing it 😂 thanks for that explanation 👍🏽
The Harden 2's and playing ball in solar boost also gave me insane achillies fire. Ironically the 93-17s with insane amount of super soft uncaged boost and cushion eases the pain, and no after pain playing in them outdoor. But they can make your feet feel fatigued after a while. Also they're so suft it creates lag on drives. I'll guess I'll give bounce to see if its the perfect balance.
Most of the traction reminds me of D Rose 3 traction. These lows looks like a mix of the iniki boost/Lillard 2's. Doesn't really look like a traditional basketball shoe. Dope review as always. Solid. 👊👊👊👊
I just grabbed a pair. I love how they feel as far as cushion, but you are right as far as the heel slip. Overall though, they work for me, a heavier guard.
It's sad to say that I have the same issue with the heel slipping a bit with this shoe. Everything else, it's just fine. I'll still continue to play with them though. Hope to find socks that might grip the heel better. Thanks NW! 👌
In adidas I wear size US9.5 in Ultra Boost, Pure Boost, Stan Smith and Mesh NMD, but size US9 in PK Stan Smith & NMD, and Campus. And had to go up to US10 for their Basketball line. I even had to go up to a US10.5 for the DRose Lakesure Boost, which is his LS range. Go figure.
Very random question, did you upgrade your camera setup? The quality is A-one and has been since day one. Just a weird thing that noticed. It seems like a lot of performance shoes now have been having a heel slip problems which is weird to me but hopefully it's just a material thing between the socks and the shoes (which is weird) and there isn't enough friction there to keep you in the shoe. Anyways very dope vid keep it up
Super comfy! Was gonna use for walking b/c boost was a bit too soft n I like full zoom indoors. Now may favs by accident since covid being forced to hoop outside. Handles the concrete on my knees n after broken in more even more comfy. Very affordable!
Just got these today in the high top for $26... Marshalls is life... Gonna play in them tomorrow hoping it's good for a classic power forward style of play
Mrs Wing made the same noise I made when you said “pinky toe issues” lol! I’ve had that issue before being a wide footer. Sucks. Great review though!!!
peace life you know, I tried on the recent hyperdunks in the high and low, and I’d say the high was a real nice fit for me. At first the felt snug, but that neoprene booty conformed to my foot shape which I thought was kinda nice. I’d say give those a shot. I’ve seen them on sale too!
Hey Nightwing2303, I really enjoy the random repartee between you and Mrs.Wing it's really funny. Keep the videos coming and more power to your channel.
I have both the mid and low nightwing is right about the heel issue in the low. However im amaze that the mid doesnt have that issue as i feel contained in the mid orobably becaise of the higher ankle collar also my mid has that gumsole pattern and black boost and it grips the nastiest dusty court were my harden 3 fails. It seriously mindblowing how an ankle cup and gumsole changes the entire experience
That's crazy! Same exact heel problems as you! I had to get insoles and have switched to Puma Clyde Court Disrupts and my heels have been feeling a lot better from the stiffer cushion. I want to see a podiatrist to see if this theory is actually backed up by science ...
When I saw this shoes on adidas online store, I can't stop thinking bout it. It feels like I can't die without buying this even this shoe is outdated haha
The Marquee's are €130-150 over here, but it seems to make even less sense how/why. Most are €140, but there's both lows and highs, including a black boost version. Then there's a red and a blue high version at €150 and there's 1 low version at €130.
A potential cause of your tendinitis - You've been wearing shoes with a high drop for a long time, leading to functional shortening of the Achilles tendon. Once the inflammation dies down and its no longer painful, you need to start stretching that tendon, walking barefoot, and wearing shoes with little to no drop, like Altras, or skate shoes like Vans, Chucks, etc. Altras with the Ego midsole are amazingly cushioned, softer than Boost, but because there isnt so much Ego in the heel the feel is much better than boost.
I for one don’t like boost, it also makes my foot tired, it’s too comfortable that it’s not natural for the foot anymore. Been wearing the ultraboost for almost 2 years now and I never had a time where I did not feel pain whenever I try then specially for long walks
Oh no. Good thing you mentioned 'cause I also have achilles tendinitis (since Dec.) and thinking of buying this pair. Though I've been running/jogging in energy boost 4 and been good so far..
I need heel cushion as I am a heel striker. But I actually am working on my gait and running forms in hope to correct the heel strike. It just feel like that would be better for me in terms of both sports performance and health. It is pretty hard to relearn how to walk and run, but in the long run the effort should be worthy. Even I need heel cushion before correcting my forms, overly soft heels would cause my arch area to be sore. Sometimes I think of very soft cushion as analogues to having too much bass in headphones: seems cool at first but after a little bit the distortion cause headaches.
I feel the same way about boost!! it's too soft..and i sink back on my shots and they come up short.. I like bounce better.. still great cushion, but a little more firm.....
I had stress in my Achilles as well....it was from not stretching out my calves enough. Now I have no issues with that..now it's my knee on an unrelated issue.
Glad I waited for your full review on these. Another awesome review. 👌🏽 These look really good though. 👌🏽 And yeah, adidas is inconsistent with their sizing. 😅
My pair is giving me blisters on my feet in both inner part of my achilles area.... There’s something wrong with those achilles pillows on both mediAl side of my shoes coz they are giving me blisters on the same area, on both of my feet 😞 Anyone having the same problem?
I think heel cushion is actually really underrated for us hoopers, i mean i play both inside and outside(running point and in the paint, indoor and outdoor), my heels rarely touch the floor, couple of years back i thought the same thing you do right now. Then it all changed after i gained some weight, playing hoops is pretty much the same, but for casual use, when i'm just standing still all my weight is on my heels, i now realise that shoes with cushion system like air max in the heel won't make my feet sore when i get home at night. I am now appreciated shoes like those air max more. #JustMy2cents
Are you keeping these for casual use? They look really clean. I'll wait and see how the other new Adidas models perform before getting a new one. But I do really like these as of the moment. Awesome review as always!
Have the same issue..heel slippages!! I share your opinion on this one..spent some time tying and retying my shoes..too tight laces dig in to my feet but still get slippage to a certain extent..too lose slippage gets worse..regrettable purchase unfortunately to say!!!
i have been experiencing this as well... seems to be not as bad in something like the harden vol 2 ls the thinner boost seems more bouncy instead of mushy. bounce still too firm for me personally.. so far my fav is full zoom in a cushlon or lunarlon type foam
I have the same issue you are having (too much cushiom), except it's affecting my calves. I have been getting calve strains due to the lag of the cushion in Boost. Been playing im the Harden 2, but it seems to happen in any shoe I wear with too much cushion (Kd 9). I love having a lot of cushion, but like you said there is such thing as too much. When you are sinking into a cushion, but legs are pushing off (especially as quick player), you are prone to injuries, especially as an aging player (I'm 35).
Do you feel like boost wears faster than Nike cushion? The pairs of crazy explosive I have feel good for about 6 months of use. After that I can start to feel my body taking more impact. From a price point I'm interested in seeing if boost holds up over time. Not just whether it performs when it's brand new
Ok I have to mention this now. The higher price is definitely not because of colored boost! Some hardens also have black boost but retail $140 like the purple upper one.
We were told by an adidas design team member and have relayed the message to our viewers. Since the initial launch they’ve reduced the price on the black boost models except for the most recent black/royal. You do not have to believe us. Your choice to be ignorant while we relay the message is up to you.
