I absolutely loved this show. Easily my favorite show they had at the park for the 7 years we lived in Florida. We'd watch it every time we were visiting the park as family, and when I worked at Rhino Rally for a couple of years I'd still find ways to sneak over and see it if I had a long lunch at the right time or was off early or started late. Thank you for having this up.
I completly LOVED LOVED LOVED this show. I have yearly pass to the park. I love to hear Coya and Frank sing. Since I lost my sight I still enjoyed this show because the words painted as clear of a picture as the scene would set!
I remember when this first came. I was only 6 yrs old! I used to be very terrified of this show! but now that I'm 18, I realize that it's not that scary. I really do miss it!
suddenly remembering this takes me back so much. i vaguely remembered the storm segment, and remembered the praying mantis from the bug segment. decided to research and apparently i loved this show as a kid. nice to see it was archived in video, sucks itll never come back - maybe one day it will.

If you do remember then PLEASE send me the video of world rhythms on ice it means so much to me. I have been searching for years trying to find it on youtube. I feel like making history right now.
I'm 16 now, and I saw this one then I was four years old. I was completely enraptured by it, and I still have one of the paper butterflies that they dropped in a scrapbook. Thank you so much for triggering my nostalgia :,)
My siblings and I used to see this show so often. We literally broke into song the other night and sang reach for me. We just started joking that we would get matching katonga tattoos. There are four of us so we said we would each get one of the storytellers staffs 😁😂
This show was amazing. I had annual passes and watched it so many times. Such quality entertainment. I really really wish they would bring this show back. The show they have now is terrible compared to this.
This show is honestly one of the best shows I've seen in any theme park anywhere in the world. It's amazing storytelling mixed with beautiful music and incredible puppets. Such a shame it's gone. Such an even more shame that it was replaced with such a terrible show in Iceploration.
@TheBooma Glad you liked it and you all were great, I was really sad to see the show go. Jungle Fantasy was nowhere near as good as KATONGA was, it didn't even have a story to it. It was just a collection of Circus acts in a Jungle setting. But I knew it was just a stop gap until they could come up with something better which turned out to be Iceploration.

I saw Turn It Up the last time I went to Busch Gardens. To be honest, it was kinda underwhelming, and that's coming from someone who never saw Katonga.
I need to ask a very important question. Did you see, Video taped and remembered an old Bush gardens show that opened in 1999 by the name of WORLD RHYTHMS ON ICE???
@1chrisnyc Well we seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum on this one. I thought KaTonga was a pretty decent show. The new show called ICEPLORATION! isn't as good as KaTonga was.
The ice shows are better. Hopefully the new show will be good but I'm sure it will be ok since many theme park shows these days are not that good or they don't have any like most six flags.

Katonga was great but I miss world rhythms on ice. I only saw world rhythms on ice three times.
