I am 68, I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THIS. THE ONLY WAY I PASSED ADVANCED ALGEBRA, CALCULUS IN COLLEGE WAS TO MEMORIZE EVERY POSSIBLE COMBINATION OF EQUATION THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE ASKED IN A TEST AND USE ARROWS TO WHAT GOES WHERE TO COME UP WITH THE ANSWER. MY TUTORS GAVE UP ON ME!THEY TOLD ME : AT YOUR LEVEL THESE ARE THE ONLY EQUATIONS THAT THEY CAN POSSIBLY ASK IN A PROBLEM. YOUR JOB IS TO MEMORIZE THESE EQUATIONS AND FIGURE OUT WHICH EQUATION TOUSE AND PLUG IN THE VARIABLES.
I PASSED CALCULUS WITH AN “A” WITHOUT EVER UNDERSTANDING WHAT I WAS DOING OR WHAT IT WAS ABOUT. IT WAS LIKE MEMORIZING POETRY. I NEVER HAD PROBLEM WITH PHYSICS CONCEPTS, CHEMISTRY, BIOCHEMISTRY ETC. WENT ON TO MEDICAL SCHOOL GRADUATED SUMA CUM LAUDE BUT NEVER UNDERSTOOD AND WILL DIE NOT UNDERSTANDING CALCULUS.ADVANCED ALGEBRA AND CALCULUS SIMPLY DO NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME! MAYBE IN THE NEXT LIFE!

First step is to separate this expression into two fractions, using common denominator rule in reverse. Then we are able to get rid of some terms and simplify that fraction.

Yes I did this I had to do this showing every step To see what I was doing but this was an extremely easy problem Funny thing I remember this but forgot How to do logarithms You definitely have to know this if you are going survive calculus I was first taught this in at the end of college algebra and the beginning of calculus along with Limits …You had better be at able to take GREAT math notes Even then it is extremely changing In college Calculus I was in a study group That help me a lot

Help. I don’t understand how to breakdown to get A/X + B/(3X-1). Which of your videos should I watch. Haven’t had math in over 40 years. Great video.

Some guy on YT who is using most of the time just two colors of whiteboard markers has got a couple of nice videos about this topic and some tips how to easy get to the solution in that matter.

Once you learn John's "bowtie" method, this becomes much clearer.

You said it was important to develop partial fractions but you did not say why.
Also, it might have been helpful if you had actually shown the extra step of multiplying both sides of the equation by x(3x-1) to get rid of the denominators. Or, found the common denominator to allow them to drop out.

Helps me see the analysis of a ratio that is often just memorized in a formula, and how the operations integrate as a complex.

I find it very impressive to solve this fraction, but anyway, I see a problem if the denominator becomes zero. Division by zero is not allowed is not a solution. Especially when you create a 3D Model and during the calculation you're denominator becomes zero. There must be a solution for this in math.

If it involves letters it is not math.
    It is algebra.
