I'm in the UK for me Google's DNS server's faster but Couldfare does give Google's DNS a hard time because it's fast. Both of the NDS servers are equally as good as each other for me so i can use both.
The download speed for me is 20mbps slower with Clourflare but my ping is way better 10 (Cloudfare) and 25 (google)

cloudflare dns was doing fine with me but after some weeks or a month is worst it only have a 0.25 mbps :V and cant even speedtest sometimes

What about the router dns? Just leave it default isp dns?
If you change your router DNS to google one, the whole home network that is connected to that router will use google DNS. In this video he only change his PC DNS other PCs on his network isn't using Google DNS.

@@SpaceStrike you can if you want all devices that access your router to default Google dns, before you change the router settings screenshot the settings first because when you fiddle something in your laptop there is a chance you will lose your connection if it fails just set the settings back by referring the screenshot.

OpenDNS is my top three, google is top 1 but only the first dns is fast, my isp dns is top 2 but I don't like that it caches all my information so openDNS is the way to go

You should configure the fastest as the primary, and the second fastest (from another provider) as the secondary.

it'll only affect the amount of time it takes to resolve a domain, the connection between you and the server it resolves to remain unaffected.
Only if you live in congested area, then yes. I live in congested area that can only use 1 type of telecom(which is Digi). After changing dns, my ping is superb.

DNS is only for initial lookup. Once you are connected, DNS is bypassed and are communicating directly over IP. Also, most Game clients dont even use DNS, they fetch the direct IPs as it scans the network for servers.
How can we know if its effective if theres no speedtest sample
Use the Ping command to a certain location before and after changing the DNS server setting in your router and windows

Google en cuanto latencia ping pero Cloudflare ofrece muchas mas garantía de privacidad, desgraciadamente su latencia es mas alta y solo tienen un servidor en Querétaro para su DNS y la mayor parte del tiempo está fuera de servicio por lo menos recientemente teniendo un ping de 64 a 67 la mayoría del tiempo debido a que estas siendo redirigido a sus servidores en USA. Open DNS tiene buena latencia como Google pero CISCO me da desconfianza ya que he visto como trabajan.

Its just make the internet smoother, especially for those who lives in congested area, my place where i live only can use 1 type of telecom(which is Digi) and the speed is terrible because of the internet congestion, so i changed to cloudflare to bypass the internet congestion.

Well I don't care about that benchmark cuz when I test my ping and down/up load speeds cloud is faster, how close you are to these name servers in geo location matters as well, also cloud wasn't ever ment to be faster than Google it is ment to be a more privacy oriented dns option, this video is absolutely useless and honestly misses the point
