- Hello everyone! 👋
Just over a week ago, I had the privilege of performing a high school senior organ recital at my church for my family and friends. It was a nice way to place a milestone at the end of this chapter in my life and display some of what I have accomplished over the past 4 years. I placed this selection in between two loud and grand pieces in order to cleanse the palate, so to speak. Though it is very simple to play, the slow progression of chords creates a mysterious-sounding atmosphere. I know I play it slower than many organists, but I personally think this tempo makes it a bit more calming. It is based on a French lullaby called "Dodo l'enfant do" ("Sleep, child, sleep"), so don't be surprised if you catch yourself drifting off!
Have a good day/night and may God bless you!
~ Sarah 💕

A lovely interpretation and beautifully registered. Marshall & Ogletree do strings especially well.

Well done! I love your choice of registrations. Louis Vierne is one of my favorite composers.
Louis Vierne overcame so much adversity. One of Gods greatest musicians. Fantastic Sarah perfect technique and always great registrations. One day I will have the opportunity to hear/play a Marshall and Ogletree organ.

Delightful piece, beautifully played, well done!
Heard you play it before, and it is just as calm and relaxing as before. Nice job.
Nice playing, Sarah! Even though my primary instrument is the violin I have had an interest in the organ for many years and have a little 5 rank Hinners in our home that I play from time to time.
I enjoy seeing your videos and appreciate your modest, wholesome appearance.
Thank you Sarah for sharing such a beautiful organ work. Would be nice to hear during Communion.😊

Ohh beautiful! I believe I have heard this piece many a time after mass, haha. Lovely! Keep up the good work and God bless you!
Hi Sarah! This is a real feelgood piece of music. I love your interpretation. Greetings from the Netherlands!
This is one of my top favorite pieces you’ve played. I love how slow and emotional it is
Fantastic girl!. This piece is great. first time hearing it
Love the tempo. I tend to agree, it certainly sounds more emotive when played at a slower pace - well played :-) D
You should do a video tour of your organ. I’ve always been fascinated by them.
I'm sure Sarah could do a demo, but meantime, there's a fascinating and very in-depth look at the M&O Opus 4 instrument with Cameron Carpenter which is a great watch (in its numerous parts) for those interested as much in the organ as the music that comes out of it!
