Test the Communication Cables

This video demonstrates testing the communication cables throughout the SunVault Storage System. Communication among the various components is crucial for proper system operation. Testing the cables is an important troubleshooting task. As always, only trained and experienced personnel may do this work. The activity described here involves the risk of contact with potentially lethal voltages and currents.

Tools & Materials: Gather the following tools and materials before you begin this work:
□ LAN tester
□ Replacement cables (as needed)
Communication Cables:
□ Gray Ethernet Cat 6 cable from the MIO to the Hub+
□ Black Ethernet Cat 6 cable from the gateway to the PVS6
□ Orange Cat 5 cable from the MIO (factory-installed) to Battery 1
□ Gray Cat 5e battery-to-battery cables □ Yellow Xanbus cable (multi-inverter only)
□ Red SYNC cable (multi-inverter only)
